Is there anyway to enable android native tether for any of these roms?

Yes there is app on market "wireless tether".
I use the app already. What i mean is the option to turn it on in the OS without an app. Only reason i ask is i am under the impression it might broadcast the wifi hot spot in infrastructure mode. The market app only works in adhoc mode on tattoo.
KalimochoAZ must first uprage the kernel, so we can have it made native.

Because the name is rediculous.
EDIT: I just got this to work and it seems great! To get it to work you need to press menu while in the app and go to settings. At the top of setting press change device-profile and choose Samsung Fascinate from the list and you are good to go (atleast it was for me).

thats cause they use ad hoc tethering which stock android doesnt support. You need infrastructure tethering which this apparently does....although I forgot to test it last night.

Exactly, i've tried some tweaks and apps which did not work until i stumbled
on this version. Google search, best thing ever.
FYI - This works for wifi on the Kindle whereas the old tether didn't. Make sure you go to settings and select the "device profile" to Samsung Fascinate.

Works great.....good find.
Thanks for the tip! This works great! Been using the vzw hotspot hack but i would keep having data issues while using it. This is working flawless! Even played 2 hrs of Black ops on my ps3 with zero issues using this. I immediately uninstalled my old wireless tether v2.07 cuz although infrastructure was supposedly supported with it, I could never get it to work. Anyway, thanks a bunch for the find and sharing this with us.
Sweet, thank you OP! I was trying to get wireless tether to work for 3 days now.
Great find, man. This works so much better for me than barnacle. Thanks for sharing.
Won't launch the Hotspot for me. Keeps giving me "Started with errors" and then in the log say it can't load the firmware
Running SirGatez Blazed kernel with DJ05 Superclean.

Only issue I've had with this, is that it will randomly shut my phone off. It's weird. No reboot. Just turned off.

Same here. After about an hour of tethering using this app, it will reboot randomly. Kind of annoying when im in the middle of something
But works well other than that.

Works but again as posted above doesn't work on Market. Is there a fix or did I miss a step?
Thanks

You probably need Froyo
Anyway, there's a newer release of v3.0 out. You folks still getting random shutdowns with this?
What wireless tether app is everyone using? I am currently trying the 2.0.8 off their google code page, but it works very sporadically.
Anyone have a good method for this?
Thanks!

Try "A WiFi Tether AP Mesh Client" by Open Garden, Open Source. It worked great for me.
I have 2.0.6 I haven't tried it on 4G yet but not sure if that matters. Worked perfectly.

Ya if you go into wireless settings there's a new option, just check it and its a wireless hotspot so you don't need the app

Barnacle is VERY slow... most I got on a speed test was 1.5mb on my desktop. The built in wireless tether just doesnt work. Never connects.
the built in wireless tether on cm7 did not work for me either but i didn't mess around with it much and i already a saved apk for wireless tether 2.0.6 which i have been using ever since i rooted months ago on all different roms i've tried. worked for me. i had to change the channel in the settings to get better connection since i also have a dinc running cm7 and also using wireless tether 2.0.6 on there too.
I am using 2.07. I have to start, then stop, then start again to get it going the first time I use tether after a reboot, but other than that works great. 3.1 beta 1 and CM7 tethers would not work for me. Also tethering with 4G.
As the title says I'm trying to create infra tether, and not AdHoc. My internet is down, so I'm using tether currently. However I can't use my Vita w/o Infra wifi, since Adhoc is only for V to V connections.

Is it a feature that no GB Rom can support?
I am using PdaNet (Free) but it limit to http but not https connection.
ICS got native usb tethering. But ICS is not stable. My phone shutdown automatically just some minutes ago with KU5900 repack.

I tried to implement it but failed... it produced BSODs on my Win7x64...
To say that Clockworkmod Tether works fine on our phone... but it's a pay app... and needs an app installed on PC too...
One of the problems of Wifi Tether is that WiFi spot is battery hungry... but if you use USB tether... you have to connect your phone... so... Why don't connect your phone to PC via cable and then use WiFi hotspot???

There is an app on xda called usb tethering but for some reason it doesn't support Zeus but it does support official GB.

I downloaded a lot of ( 3-4 ) app which is free and all of them are either doesn't work or doesn't seems to support https.
PdaNet Free Edition work nicely but its HTTPS function is only for premium.
I think it is ridiculous that ICS got native USB tethering for free while GB doesn't.
Is there anything I can help huexxx? I am a programmer but I don't know much about android programming.

MY apologies, that was a 'reverse tethering' program to use ur PC's internet on your phone.
I'm under the impressions you are looking to do it the other way. my bad :S
I've heard of a few people receiving the device for Sprint. Has anyone rooted/unlocked the bootloader and tried tethering?
Search function. Yes. It works fine. Root, install WiFi tether, generic jb setting, routing fix and miss(or whatever) clamping. And it works just fine.

Good to know.
Or you could try FoxFi, which doesn't require root. Not sure whether it works on the One, would love to hear whether anyone has tried it. http://foxfi.com/
Hopefully getting my ONE on Friday. I have to use tether for work everyday, so good to know I can use it right away.
I'll keep an eye on this thread for any other good methods. Thanks guys

If you are ok with Bluetooth tethering, then FoxFi works - but you need a PdaNet client on the connecting device. I've tested running FoxFi on my One, with PdaNet Tablet (which is free) on my Android tablet, and it worked like a champ.
If you are trying to connect to a Windows computer or Mac, you need the PdaNet Desktop Client, which can be found here: http://pdanet.co/a/
I have not yet been able to get this connection to work, when I try to pair PdaNet on the laptop to the phone PdaNet gives me an error message - I have a request in to PdaNet support.

It works just using jb0 generic. I also enabled access control. Didn't have to mess with the other stuff.
I believe that wi tether will work fine for a lap top but if you want to tether a tablet junning JB that is where you will have an issue I will try this blutooth
