[Q] Good case to go with Triden Aegis Cover? - Nook Color Accessories

Going to get the Aegis cover for a nook color and was wondering if anyone has used it and knew a good case to use with it?
Was looking at some they had on B&N and the Da Vinci cover one is my favorite so far (can't link it since I am new apparently).
Would the nook fit with into it with the cover on still?

I see you've only got one post, so I'll be gentle.
Answer is no.
Pretty much none of the B&N cases that are made to stay on the Nook Color when in use will fit with another case on.
You could use a neoprene case like this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Belkin-F8N098-Neoprene-6-Amazon-Kindle-Soft-Case-/120720065248
but it is basically just a neoprene bag that the NC would go in when not in use.

Thanks. Wasn't to sure so thought I would ask here

Nook case and Belkin stand that works

After hunting around for 2 weeks for something that looks good and works as a stand and cover here is what i found
The stand came from the Apple IPad section but works great with the Elocity A7. The cover is a Nook magnetic cover that gives you access to all ports.
Please excuse the messy desk and phone pictures!
I used the 3M sticky pads on the back to hold it to the Nook Case.
Nice work. Looks good! I have a elocity case from case kings on the way. Ill update everyone on that!
eLocity case
I am wonder were to buy the case for my A7. I can't seem to find one here in town.
eLocity case
I am wondering were you bought yours at? I can't seem to find it.
Case from Amazon.com
I purchased a leather case from amazon.com that does not work well at al. It comes up as a compatible case but the flaps to hold it in on one side to not completely cover it.
its called Leather Case with Pockets for eBook eReaders
sucks!
I bought the case from Best Buy and the Stand from Frys
Has anyone heard if Elocity /Steam is going to sell any accessory for there products??

[Q] Cheap Neoprene Case for Nook Color

I've been shopping around for a cheap case solution for the Nook Color and I came across this
The dimensions are 8.3x6 in
The nook color is 8.1x5 in (right?)
Do you think the 0.2 in of give on the top would be enough for it to fit? My wife has this same case in a different size for her netbook and she loves it. It's very well-made considering the price, so if I know the NC will fit I'd buy it immediately.
Anyone own this or seen it or have an opinion? I'm just looking for something functional and cheap. That's it.
Those cheapo neoprene cases have plenty of give. Do remember they were meant for a thicker device so if the dimensionsof the case is a little smaller it should be fine for a thinner device.
My 11.6" dmz1 fits well in the 10" netbook version of this and is a nice tight stretch fit.
Double post. Sorry.

That's good to know. I like that it can enclose the device completely or, like my wife does, you can just slip it in without folding over the top. That's perfect for tossing it in my backpack.
Anyone else have experience with this or any other cheap neoprene case?
Nook color is 8.1" height. Case should fit fine.
You might have a problem with staining though. I see that the neoprene cases that Barnes Noble sells has people numerous complaining about the dye transfering to the Nook. Probably not much of a problem with the color Nook as it is black/grey as opposed to the regular Nook's off white color. Cheap to try out though.
I got this one:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130466898278
It's quite snug and for a simple way to protect the Color Nook it works fine.
It takes a slight effort to get on because it is so snug.
I think the one you got from ebay is the same as the one I'm looking at but more expensive. Glad to know it works for you!
Going to get one myself, thanks
I'm in for one of these off ebay. It'll probably take 2-3 weeks since it's coming from China but I can be patient for $5

I have that exact one you linked. It fits very snug with the silicone sleeve. The neoprene smell is really strong the first few weeks. The fold-over style opening does tend to get a little stretched out after a while, but it's still tight so that the NC is never in any danger of falling out. All in all, it's a good sleeve for the money.
I just got mine and without any type of silicone case around the NC, there is plenty of room in this neoprene sleeve. There actually may be a little too much room. But it does do a nice job of protecting my NC when I carry it around.
I got a similar case the week I got my NC which I purchased just after launch. It has done the job well and cheaply for me with no color transfer.
this one fits like a glove! amazing! and only paid $5.99

I have that same one, from a different seller and in a different color. It's great. I have absolutely no complaints!
I had a case for my Cruz and didn't like it, too clingy it got dirty quick

[Q] Book-like cases - do any offer real shock protection?

Loving my rooted (stock 1.01) nook color, but I am afraid to touch it sometimes! It is a great unit, but it feels a bit lightweight and I read at least one thread on here saying that it breaks easily when dropped.
I'm looking at the otterbox for shock protection, but a) that isn't out yet and b) I really prefer the look of some of the B&N book-style covers.
My question is, do the B&N covers provide adequate shock protection? And if not, are there other covers that do? I've been searching amazon etc and saw a couple of book-like hard cases, but they were apparently designed for the original nook and bizarely require you to attach the nook color with stick-on velcro strips that don't actually stick to the rubberized nook color back surface.
So I'm undecided. I want a handsome (though non-leather) fold-over book-like cover, but I also want something that will absorb the impact of droping the thing on a hard floor.
Have others found a solution to this dillema?
im personally considering making one, going to barnes and noble tomorow to look for ideas

this one is padded, has hole for the speaker and a kick stand.... this is what I use

I have a green book like cover frm b&n with the slider locks instead of the three tabs. Ive dropped mine from about 4 1/2 ft and no issues
Sent from one of those missing Droids
Thanks. That is good to hear.
Sent from my Rooted Nook Color using Tapatalk
I bought this case: http://gifts.barnesandnoble.com/Vasco-Cover/e/9781616837259/?cds2Pid=35616
for 50 bucks. and i absolutely love it. I bought one of those "open flap" type of cases, and it just wasn't doing it for me. Always flipped open on it's own because i fold the case around the back when i use it.
But the soft leather on my new one folds back perfectly. It also has these nice magnets that hold it together, as well as inside pockets that also have magnets.
All in all, i love this case and it has protected my NC greatly so far.
I use the Lautner cover from B&N: http://gifts.barnesandnoble.com/Lautner-Book-Cover-Night/e/9781616865146/?itm=15
I've dropped my NC a couple of times without any damage to the NC. the corners of the cover have some give and reduce the shock on the device. Once the NC came unclipped, but was not damaged.

Ideas for a case/protection

I recently bough a Nook Color and am trying to see what case I want to buy. Does anyone know if there is just a simple Silicone Cover that also has a kickstand similar to the EVO phones?
I would like to get something slim so that the device still fits in my pocket but I also want it to stand both portrait and landscape mode.
Please let me know if there is anything you might recommend.
Thanks
I couldn't decide what case to buy so just impulse bought this case on Ebay.
"PDair Black Genuine Leather VX1 Case for Nook Color"
I would love to give you a link, but the forum prevents me at the moment until I have posted 10 messages.
It hasn't arrived yet, so I can't comment on its quality. I chose it over the others as it looked okay and would not be bulky. However, obviously it gives no protection when the device is in use.
I myself am a huge fan of holster type cases. i have the franklin sleeve from barnes and noble and LOVE IT, cant post links yet google "barnes and noble franklin sleeve" and it will be your first hit
Check Amazon
They have a lot of different ones there. Check this one out. Seems like a pretty good one.
Skinomi-TechSkin-Protector-LIFETIME-REPLACEMENTS
Best buy has a soft cloth style case. Its perfect. By the ereaders. Also my buddy gave me the idea of cutting the ipad screen cover and trimming it to fit the nook screen. You can make two!!!!
Silicone Skin for Nook Color
Kick Stand
These are all nice suggestions. Thank you. I am still trying to find a case with a kick stand.

Just bought a body shell but I still need a case.

I just ordered a Trident Aegis Case but I'm pretty sure that I'll feel unsafe walking around with the Nook in that case when it's not in use. Can anyone recommend a case that I can use to hide the Nook while I have the Aegis case on? I'm looking for something inconspicuous like this, but I'm not sure if it will fit.
I use this Belkin neoprene case with my NC and Trident case. Tight fit, but good protection and not flashy.

Thanks, I saw an earlier post talking about that case but I prefer something that can open like a book. If I can't find one maybe I'll go with that.

I got this one off of fleabay.

It doesn't have a stand, but it works great and was only $13. Plus it was one of the few covers I found that had holes in the back for the speaker.
I bought the Roo Porfolio case at Overstock dot Com and I'm pretty happy with it.

I like this case to, but will vit fit with the Agesis body cover on?
I just picked up this case this week. Very impressed with it for the price. The stand works well and it isn't flashy. Feels good in the hand too. I can't post links yet, but I got it on Amazon:
CrazyOnDigital Folio Black Leather Case
Ended up buying one of these. I'll report on the quality and how/if it fits with the Aegis on.
Edit - Just got this case and it fits perfectly! I even have space for additional cards and screen wipes. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a holder while having the Aegis on.
