Why is it you ask a question in the development forum when we have a dedicated questions forum? Add that to the fact we have 2 notices in here regarding questions!
This is the dev forum, ie for dev topics not questions.

Wow. Some people around here are pricks. Yeah he was in the wrong section, but so what. No one visits the q&a forum. Sometimes its hard to get an answer. Being a smartass wont help the situation.

Umm I visit the Q&A forums. Does that make me a nobody?

Are you on crack? Plenty or people visit the Q&A forum and anyway that is besides the point, Q&A is for questions, period!
Who cares if you think posting in here will get you more views, the point is that you are not supposed to post in here and if everybody just decided to ask questions in here it would turn into a complete swamp and browsing for the actual real dev topics would be a pita which is why a "questions" forum was created.
btw, I wasn't been a smartass, I was pointing out what SHOULD have been blatantly obvious.

It doesn't charge, because USB according to specification is rated at 0.65 A at 5V, Galaxy TAB Charger is rated 2 A at 5V.
Charging requires higher electric current to override internal resistance of battery, Galaxy TAB got large capacity battery, so the internal resistance is quite high.
And that's why 0.65 A is not enough.
So use standard charger or buy yourself a high end motherboard providing more Amps (there are ones with high power USB, usually for supporting portable HDD).
BTW 1: This problem address also iPad, other TABs and other stuff with large batteries.
BTW 2: I would answer this if it would be in Q & A. And name calling others for pointing truth is a sign of low self culture.

HTC Diamond

can anybody tell me how to watch sky mobile tv on htc diamond?
Sorry for not offering help (because I can't), but I had to write that this was the MOST innovative subject ever (not):
An "HTC Diamond" topic in "Diamond" section... You warranty that almost nobody will every look inside it (or in fact do look inside for the same reason I did).
Pitty forum software does not allow for empty subjects eh?
Jeakins
Don't take the reply by NLS (Senior Member!) personally, it is just that this forum is not really the place for a post like yours.
I have noticed that some of the people who post replys (not many) can be just plain rude & choose that option before explaining.
Were I you I would try a site like Coolsmartphone.com & join their forum or give your provider a ring.
Hope this helps.
there is a program called DiamondTV that can be found on this forum if you look close enough. i don't know wether you can watch your program with it, but it's worth a try

we are here to help each other ,,,,, is that too much to ask ????Mr. senior Member
This forum has rules.
They are to be followed. Except for the last sentance dig, the "Senior Members" post was reminding you guys of the rules.
Then you guys created this into a Flame thread, because "Junior Members" seems to think the policies and rules don't apply to them.
Guess what, they do. Here's a Link, Read and LIVE by these Guidelines.

This thread did NOT have a clear subject, the subject SHOULD have been, "SkyTV on my Diamond" or something similar.

Once again why you thought it wise to attack, NLS, or anyone for that matter is beyond me. Just because someone points out your mistake doesn't give YOU the right to break the rules.
Consider this a Warning to Everyone, If it DOESN'T contribute, Don't Post it!

Hello everyone!

Hello, i'm TyTN ★, i've joined this forum becouse i want to mod some things on my PDA, i'm not very new to hacking and flashing but i still have to learn alot of it.
And yes, username comes from the phone i use: HTC TyTN II.
I don't know why i choose that one.
I think i will be very active on this sub-forum so you guys will see alot posts of me.
If someone still have some questions you can ask me via this thread or PM.
~TyTN
No Sound
Are you still having the no sound problem? I had the same problem all I did was flash the newest WM 6.1 Radio (1.70.19.09) from the "Ultimate Radio Thread" (sorry i can't post links, my account is too new)
page, and all my sound started working perfect!
dude the other thread was closed to encourage more reading and searching and to reduce clutter and redundant threads...
by replying to this thread (especially with false information) with information regarding a closed thread you are eroding the whole purpose.
the radio you mentioned (1.27.14.09) is NOT a WM6.1 radio.
Wow, what a way to treat 2 new members...
Anyhow, I simply typed the wrong file name, now corrected and post edited so that it has to do with this thread (I did have a question for him, did he ever get sound working?)
And since when is helping a person who is new at something a bad thing? That should be encourage, so that they can help more people and spread their knowledge, therefore to actually -

No to encourage is what denco7 said in the other thread providing an answer along with a reason why people should use the search, XDA is not spoonfeed centre but a knowledge of information you can find very easily and the constant questions being asked repetitively only lead to more confusion and a messy XDA.........
So if you start the process quick towards searching\reading

i imagine the word missing is help
Actually there was no word missing, the space was left for the quote I had.
Anyways, I was just trying to help, and yes I acted a little immature. Not a good way to join the forums, sorry ASCIIker for responding rudely, and sorry everyone else for helping promote "spoonfeed centre" lol

yes... it works very well....
I actually bought a few extra bracelets from a monk in china
He granted it special power from an ancient well that is believed to hold the mystical power of the bear...
Anyone that wears it will be enchanted bear strenght X3
It just so happens that I can't wear more then one (as bear strenght x6 is dangerous to mere mortals) so I have one to sell if you are interested.
BUT... bear strenght x3 is not cheap..
If you want I can sell it to you.
*no guarantee that bracelet has bear strenght x3... also no guarantee that bracelet will last the shipping trip*
haha
Not even one of these yet...?

There are question threads in the development section?! I guess there are a few ways to root the s7. But why could noone make a sticky ? I think even me who is new to the s7 section here in xda, can write that.
Why does no one stop the spam in dev ?

There's an easy answer to your question, here in the Streak forum we have the laziest moderators I have EVER seen in ANY forum... the same noob can post in 10 threads the same question practically whereever he wants, how many times he wants with no discipline, yet when one of us experienced users makes a comment about it, we get a speeding ticket as I like to call it... the threads are CLOGGED with post after post after post of the same junk from noobs that REFUSE to do anything but be allowed spoon fed information.... my rant is done
so i think we must do something.

Hey man I'm with ya but what can we do. EVERYTIME I post a rant going off on how untidy the DELL forums here on xda are I get criticized instead of agreement. I have other android devices and even an HTC HD7 I bought to try out, and the MODS in EVERY other forum I visit pounce on the noobs in a minute, delete useless, chastise them for now searching, reposting in different sections, here they just reign free like kids on a playground and the mods are stuck inside like they are scared to put things in order, and when they do say something, it's to folks like me that are doing THEIR job for them...
So what do we do, you tell me...
I think if there are stickies and more people who help quite fast and understandable, it will stop.
Dude, i came to xda because of my SE Xperia X8, there are stickies, good mods etc.
But here, the normal users must do the work of the mod. Btw who is the mod here?

I can't even remember his/her/their handles.... I try to put the names out of my mind because the most I see them do is move a thread every now and then around and come down on those of us that don't spoon feed the noobs
Ive have written a post for the noobs. I really hope that is someday be a sticky.

You bros remember when this place was only for developers?

I remember when noobs were encouraged to read and not post, when posts in development threads would be deleted if they weren't conducive to development. No cluttering threads with "thanks" or feedback regarding personal preferences.
It was because of this that I didn't join XDA for quite some time (I'm by no means a mobile developer, to be clear). The entire time that I had my T-Mobile Dash (HTC Excalibur), I avoided registering because it was very clear to me that this place was just for developers. 2007 was a big year for XDA, which might be where things start to change. XDA made it into the news and tech blogs when the community bumped heads with Microsoft. A lot of noobs joined as a result. I was one of the many noobs that joined that year, now with my T-Mobile Wing (HTC Herald). While being a noob became more acceptable, this place was still for the developers. Noob bashing was encouraged as long as it was done with a smile. But with the sheer number of smart phones that have come out, this place has been flooded with new members looking to tinker with their devices. XDA has embraced these new members, and now the developers don't call us noobs anymore. They call us users.
This isn't a bad thing. It's just an observation I had. Made me get all nostalgic. Definitely been a major shift over the years.
