Hello,
For the past week, I was trying out the Cronos Ginger ROM for Milestone, and I quite liked the system fonts that it used. Is there any way to port those fonts back to CyanogenMod? Is there an app for that?
Thanks

Try using Font Changer.
Well I did try it, but it didn't come loaded with any fonts. Also, I was looking for the Cronos fonts specifically. Is there any font package for that? Also how do I load fonts in Font changer in the first place?
Best way to grab fonts would be to open up the Flashable zip of Cronos, then /system/fonts and you need to grab all of those I guess. Font Changer should recognize them as a "font package" and let you apply it then.
Thanks man..tried it out and it worked..
Is it possible to change fonts without using an app ? . ( cyanogenmod 7.2)

How do I change back to the stock font that the phone came with. I installed steeldroid 2.0 and I like the ROM but I just don't like the font change much. I installed fontinstaller by jrummy from the market but I cannot find the original font file.

There should be a font simply called "Stock"
I switched back myself. I love the helvetica type font in fontinstaller but a lot of ****s alignment got retarded from it.

I've found Root Tools to be the best font switcher IMO, and it has the Stock font in the selection of 15 or so fonts.
Root Tools and Font Installer are both by JRummy. Lol Font Installer is basically the same as RT just with more fonts to choose from.
morse coded via my DROID 3
I have already tried that stock font but it still does not look the same as the stock font that the phone came with. I am talking about the blur font.

sorry for my noob question..
for touchwiz baserom only download flipfonts and install like orginal app.
go to setting / display / font style and select your font.
flip font can install on any galaxy family phone. ( means if have flipfont for galaxys2 can use on mini )
search xda for flipfont and alsow a tutrial for making flipfont on windows...
I uswd rom to tool box its good. Long list of fonts to use and also a preview of said fonts! Romtoolbox has many other features like ad blocker bootanimation changer and loads more
I've seen this question many times during last few days and even got a few PMs also regarding this and answering repetitively is tiresome and not so creative so thought of creating a thread specially for this, Nothing new, no rocket science but helpful, hope you find the same
Recovery Method
Download any one of the font
Goto CWM
Select Mount and storage
Mount System
Flash the downloaded File
ICS Roboto Font
Gingerbread Stock Font
Other Flashable Font files along sample can be found here
Font changer Method
Install Font Changer from play store
put the desired fonts in the folder .fontchanger created in the root of your SDcard, open the app and apply the desired font.
usually I use second method. coz its easy for any fonts. no need to search for flashable zip and original font can be backup for further use.
try rom toolbox
I think it doesnt work on ICS ROM
I see on system/fonts and few font files was linked to "roboto font",,even I change with CWM/Manual(with root explorer) it doesnt works mate
I like use SonySketch fonts

I believe what OP mean in this thread is only for MoKee OS. And also as he said, the zip file attached to be flashed is an answer of some people who ask him how to make roboto font as default font.

Is this safe ?
I wanted to ask if this is completely safe cos I've had bad experiences everytime I tried tampering with my device. Also do these methods work on gingerbread ??

As far i know this should work on any gingerbread rom, but on ics or jb you need to create metadata for changing the font as their symlinked to the rom. Cmiiw

Hi. I wanna ask if is it possible to change the clock font on the statusbar cm7. And I'm currently on squadzone cm7 RC5.7. I have a question. Is it the framework problem or something's else cause when I use tickle my android, the decompile and the recompile was sucess. And when I push it in I got a bootloop. Can anyone help me?
Well the easiest way to change font is to rename your desired font to the one used by the clock (mostly "Clockopia") and replace it by pushing to System/fonts and set permissions

If you have a bootloop, that's because you've got something wrong with your framework-res.apk. I'm guessing that you recompiled it but didn't prepare it. You have to prepare system files or they just won't work.
That said, decompiling files isn't the way to change your clock font. Tickle My Android does have an option for changing the clock font in the modifying menu, although I can't guarantee that it'll work on your CM7. If it doesn't, the best way is to look in /system/fonts and start replacing fonts. Hopefully, the font you need will have a fairly obvious name..

I did prepare system files but sometimes when I wanted to push it in, it says write only file system. How can I change it? And for the clock I've changed clokopia and one more I guess it's called honeycombAndroidClock.tff but all they change was only the lockscreen clock

For changing battery and stuff its easier to use UOT Kitchen
I know uot kitchen is the best but I'm already on a ics rom. All I want is to change the batt icon. When I upload the framework and systemUI I got shtf file. All I can do is uploading the theme chooser theme. Unless I could find a theme chooser theme which it is pure and not modded before.

Hmm.. Tell you what, if you can share your files on the Tickle My Android thread, I can make this mod for you.
I can even take a look at changing your clock font. I'll just need to know what fonts you have in your Rom.
