It's the law of supply and demand. You are asking to buy it, so natually the price going to be higher than usual. These guys/gals probably won't release their G1, not unless it's worth their wild.
Your best bet is to check craiglist or amazon to see if any one want to sell their G1. You'll get a better deal than here.

I've got two D-INC std 1500 batteries that are used( 6mo, 2mo) and a back cover for one too. I was just wondering if people are still willing to buy the original batteries rather than going for the higher end ones that are out now? I just have no use for them myself as i've upgraded to a D-INC II and no longer have the D-INC handset it self due to it being sent back to big V for repair/trade for the II.
selling price within the US?
If your battery has an STD, you might take it to the clinic. I'm pretty sure they can clear that up.
Hate to revive but what did you mean by clinic? And really I'd be selling both for like 20ish, back cover possibly included if you need/want it.

fyi, stock batteries are 1300 mah... and $20 is ripping us off cause i got a 1500 for ~$5 last year when i got my phone, and just bought a seidio extended batt and cover for $12.
If you wanna help someone out, you could offer it to a friend who has a Dinc or an EVO 4g(works on this too).
Oh see I had no ideas what prices where otherwise I would have said different.

Yet another screen crack starting from the left side.... The question is did you drop it or hit it against the trim piece. Did you have screen lift/ loose issue..
If you have the lift issue call google.. or asus .
You actually put a 2 minute video showing a cracked screen???
Lol i downloaded the cracked screen app and blamed my lil bro. Dont worry i told hom after 10 minutes

You cracked ur 8GB so your parent's are replacing it with a 16GB?!
Man kids these days are lucky. I remember when I broke something I cried for I got in trouble and never got a replacement.
Touch screen not working?
Flashing!
I felt bad for your tab, but upon watching a video that had no use, rather you could have posted a picture and that would have done the job, I couldn't understand a word you said, It was like you were on a sugar rush.
Also, who does a shoutout when their tab is broken?
My dad bought it with his Amex Card. Whenever you buy something with an Amex card, it is automatically covered with Insurance. We are going to get the money back and also keep the 8 GB. With the money, we are going to buy a new 16 GB one.

Lol, ain't it grand that pops brought you it & not you from hard earned cash that you worked for. When I was a boy we went out & made entertainment rather than relying on dads amex. Kids these days.....
But off topic but if you don't pay for it out of your hard earned you'll never look after it or your other toys.

OT:
I would agree with you strongly on this. Back in the years my pops would only get me something he felt was "worth it" for my age. If I had asked him for anything over $100 it was a strong NO until I came to realize it's value/worth. If not for that I wouldn't be looking after all my gadgets like they were diamonds.
Pops can fork over $200 more for a new N7 but it's useless if you aren't a developer. I would agree if you had an 8GB, it broke, but you're a developer and daddy got you a brand new one because it was worth it, not for Angry Birds in HD. But wow, this is outrageous. if daddy forks it over way too fast, then you'll never look after your things. Ever. If anything, you might aswell learn/do something with your tab, You're like what? 13+ by the sound of your voice. You're young, do something with all those gadget's you have marked under your signature and maybe daddy's Amex would be worth it.
Are you saying I should start developing? I know a lot about ROMs and stuff like that. I also know alot about tech. I am looking to start developing. Actually, I am in a group here on XDA for beginning ROM building. Also, I didn't break the tab. I'm 12 BTW. I am also a Senior Member here on XDA. Like I said, I am knowledgeable in this stuff.

Well, In all honestly, I didn't see the need for this thread, You may call it bashing but I call it bulk. If you're getting it replaced, and the older tab is covered under the insurance why the need for this thread?, If you're asking for help, the best you'll get are links you can get the parts separately or stuff you could probably Google it yourself. Why not get that repaired elsewhere and enjoy the new 16GB, In the end you'll have 2 tabs and one which won't become and expensive paperweight. You can't sell that tab because Nexus are known for their no on screen buttons, and whats the use if the digitizer/glass is cracked and all you can do is turn it on to show the pretty wallpaper.
If anything I'm not mad here, Just find it insane that you made this thread to tell us "Daddy's replacing it with a new 16GB with his Amex" well, good for you kiddo.
I see people all the time making videos about their broken tabs and phones so I decided to do it to. My dad isn't even going to have to pay for the new Nexus. He is getting it with the insurance money. Also, about my other phones and stuff, I bought then with my own money for big discounts from friends and stuff like that. I don't even have a PC or Laptop. I had a choice between the N7 and a PC/laptop. I got the N7 because I like playing with ROMs and stuff. Also, I knew I could make some vids on the Nexus. Last thing, the Nexus 7 only costs 200$ and a good PC/Laptop costs over 700$. I'm not asking for help, I was just saying that it broke. The reason I am getting it replaced is because t wasn't me who broke it. If I broke it, I wouldn't be getting a new one.

Well that wasn't a smart choice, How do you expect to "learn" about ROM's or developing in general when infact 99% of all that requires a PC, if anything your own personal storage that people won't erase because your stuff makes no sense to the non techy's---buddy, joining a group on ROM building/development with a tab is like joining a bodybuilding competition with flabs.
Anyways I'm done here.
So so gutted! Only had the htc one for a week and it feel out of my pocket onto my solid slate kitchen floor and well lets just say it couldnt have been a better face plant! Didnt even touch the sides...just face down slap bang on the floor!
Am I the first?
To top it off no insurance.......and no repair shops that either stock the parts as is so new out and if the tear down tests are anything to go by its a pig to even replace a screen! Just my luck.....only one thing I could do which is to get it repaired by htc.
Being shipped off tomorrow and im dredding the email that is going to rob me me of my hard earned ££££.
Anybody had experiance with htc repairs?

I'm lucky, I get phone insurance with my bank account. I rang them to switch it over as soon as I'd unboxed it as I knew if I left it alone this would happen!

yea so none of the touch screen works people are tellin me it's gonna be 200 to fix so i might just buy a new one of wait till the google i/o just to see whats up . . it didn't fall too hard either though and i had a ringth slim case on it guess those don't really help all that much. using a backup iphone 3gs i.can't.live.like.this.

I've been using the same case as you since December, and have indeed dropped the phone quite a few times. Fortunately, my screen survived. You got really unlucky there.

LCD cracking is pure luck. It all depends on which part took the impact. Your phone will most likely survive if it falls flat on a flat surface. If the corner hits, it'll most likely break.
I have seen phones survive 6ft drop and also seen broken phones from a 1ft drop.

First open it up and disconnect-reconect the digitizer plug from the main board. Maybe it just moved a little after the crash.
But yeah, even if it works you still have cracked screen so you will still have to fix it anytime soon.

Those plastic slim cases will not protect your phone, at all. At most, they provide a grip to your phone and prevent scratches from everyday usage.
I would advise on getting a TPU case in the future.

I broke mine like that, sent it to LG repair shop in Texas (have to contact them and get a return code first) and they ended up just giving me a replacement unit. Was nice cuz I ended up with a more solid phone, has the little nubs and all (it's a rev 10 though). Pretty much like getting a brand new phone and I was only charged like $160. Just make sure to back up your pics and stuff to your PC prior to sending it in, in case you get a new phone. I was quite happy.

ouch my nexus7 it slid off my bed apparently. I didnt see how it fell, it was in a case but it didnt save it. I heard the thud, turned and feared the worse. it goes across the screen so its rather large.
its the 2012 32 gb version. Is it fixable??? most of the screen doesnt work, i can touch the notification area and it responds, but no where else, so it is basically inoperable. I google some stuff about replacing the digitizer or the screen? or both? how would i know what I need?
on another note, its the 2012 version and i could probably use an upgrade on the 2014 or whatever the new one is. But i definitely would like to repair this and get a new one. I hate having to let go of stuff like this and would like to repair it.

hmm thats a nice idea, i might find something like that locally here. well I ended up going on craigslist and looking at local ads of nexus 7, and I saw someone selling a nexus 7 16gb for $100. I emailed and asked if it was still available and how firm they were. They replied saying they can let it go for 80 if I come right now. I just returned about an hour ago with a 16gb nexus 7. I am currently in the process of rooting with a rom as my 32gb was. I still wanna fix my 32gb so I will try this idea or something similar.

How is it fraud, I asked currys if they needed to see the tablet and they no because it was less than a year old they didn't ask if it had a broken screen and I've still got the insurance so there getting there money back anyway so think before accusing people of fraud
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
Its fraud because it was suggested above that insurance gets placed on the device AFTER there has been damage to the device. It was suggested that the insurance company wouldn't verify the condition...it's exactly what it sounds like...fraud.
