idea for home screen background

Dont know if its even possible or how laggy it would end up on the g1's hardware but i had an idea where the background for the homescreen is a slightly blurred realtime image of what the camera is currently seeing giving the illusion that the phone is see through. So it would look sort of like this new phone

I have a similar idea though. Why not link 4-5 backgrounds with some weather app and change them with weather changes.

[req] Spinning Honeycomb Bee Boot Animation?

I've been searching all over for a boot animation in which the Honeycomb bumble bee is spinning/rotating on the horizontal axis. Does anyone know if something like this already exists? If not I'm going to take a stab at creating one.
