Hi,
I only discovered this wonderful forum a few days ago even though i have had my O2 Stellar for a year. After readng the top 10 must have software I downloaded TodayAgenda. However I can't configure it even though it has copied some appointments from my default outlook calendar and it is showing on my today screen along side the default.
I tried deleting it but it kept saying application in use.I want it to be my default Task manager.Could someone please help me?
Thanks
Not sure what's gone wrong, I love TodayAgenda.
The fact an accedental click will not open the calander is excellent !
I have the HTC Home Screen, then Lock/Unlock and Then Today Agenda.
Fixed depth (88 Pixels) totally snug fit on my screen & no scroll bars obscuring text on the RHS.
Takes a while to start up (I have 30 days showing)
It does not copy from the Calander, just reads - so no duplicates
My Settings:
General: 30 Days, Empty Yes, Compact, PIM: Pocket Outlook, View: Day
Layout: 88 Pixels, Fixed, +/- 0, Enabled rue type, Large Scroll Buttons, Only Scroll Arrows
Task/Day: Use Toady/Tomorrow, [+]/[-], Highlight
Appointments: All ticked except Past Appointments and Show Info Bar
Tasks: All unticked
Anniversaries: Personal choice - but I have them as whole Day calander events - these are the Outlook Contact details.
Colour Fonts (x2) - I use default.
Hope this helps - It's great.

Hi,
I have been searching and looking for something to replace the mechanism for notifications on my TP CDMA (Sprint).
When my calendar notification, SMS notification or voicemail notification activates, its a tiny icon in the status bar at the top, which I have to tap multiple times and then I get the annoying HTC status screen and then I need to tap the icon for VM, or alert to see what my notification is...
I find this very annoying and its easy to miss important notices.
Isnt there a better way? Ideally, something that would automatically play a ringtone and display a window on the screen (even after standby) until I dismiss it....
Does anyone know of something like this?
Thanks!
If you go into Settings -> Sounds & Notifications -> Notifications
You can configure how the phone notifies you about each event, so for a SMS you'd set for it to "Display Message on Screen"
Granted this is not a huge amount a flexibility and a lot of the time the pop up dissapears and one would have to click up at the status bar again to get it down, yet it is still options.
I haven't looked into differenet notification programs / systems as I am quite content with the stock ones just changed to my liking.
Personally, I hate the pop up, always comes up in the middle of something and just gets in the way.
Is there any way to actually change the look of the bubble ???? I'd ideally like it to be centered on the screen, instead of at the bottom. Also, if you looked more like a bubble, or something else, that would help too. I've been Googling around for about half an hour, and have found NOTHING except changing the bubble color on iPhone and some apps for changing those.
Why aren't there any on WM ????

Francarl is working on trying to change the look of the bubble Check out FingerMenu in the Dev & Hacking section. It should look something like that if it works.

I just set everything to vibrate and flash. I have rlToday setup with 4 BIG finger friendly icons for SMS, Email, Missed Calls, and Voice Mails at the bottom of my Today screen... with their respective counters. A Vibrate and Task icon is enough already. Looking at the today screen will let me easily see anything I need to worry about.
rlToday is a today plugin based on XML which you can create to look like anything you want. Highly customizable.
dontforget works but appears initially to conflit with s2u2 so I'm using dontforget insdtead. hope to find a way to do both.

I hate how I have to constantly go back and turn on "display" for reminders. It disables itself all the time.
dontforget is doing that? not had that issue.
Hey, i have used PhoneAlarm for a few years with past phones, just loaded it on my new Verizon TP, works great as usual. It is not free, ($15 i think), but has been well worth it. Google PocketMax PhoneAlarm (you want the pro version). It is very customizable (skins, custom sounds and intervals for different events), has profiles that can change alarms based on your location, meeting status, or manual selection, and supports TF3D. It also supports a popup on new event and with the notification softkey that allows you to easily click and address the event. I started using it because it allows custom repeat alarms (different sounds after a certain period of time as well as custom intervals). I needed something to alarm pleasantly a few times then an obnoxious alarm every 20 seconds to wake me while sleeping. I'm a paramedic in sometimes remote locations dispatched via this phone, so i NEED to get messages. I've tried several others and always come back to PhoneAlarm. Just my 2 cents...
phoneAlarm.
Apart from the prefix "Can I", or even "how do I" if I can, it's all in the heading really.
On my phone I have a screen of contact shortcuts, usually two per contact - ring mobile, send SMS. Some get ring work as well. Having a small family and few friends, one screen is enough.
I would like to bundle all of the shortcuts into one folder on the launch bar, but it seems that apps are the only things I can put on the launch bar and then stack into folders.
Or am I missing something?
I have seen the "People" app, but that allows only one entry and default action per favourite person.
Any help appreciated.

Coming from Android, I'm used to having calendar and to-do widgets on desktop so that I can get a quick look at coming events and tasks without having to open the app itself. Are such things possible on WP or would I have to open the app every time I wanted to check on something?
You can view your daily events on live tile and lock screen, but it is limited for one, closest event. There are apps in store, which can turn a live tile into a to-do list, so you will see it all the time. Opening the calendar is simple as one tap on the tile, and I am sure, you will get used to it.
I know each implementation of android is unique to the maker and that's the "fun" of android sometimes...
Just wondering if there's a way to make the notifications panel a little more flexible.
On Samsung if, for example, you have a multi-notification from my email app (4 email subject lines grouped into a single large notification) i can swipe down on each of the sub-notifications and they'll expand to give the quick actions.
On the ColorOS launcher it seems that only way to expand each of these emails is to click on the tiny little arrow in the corner of the notification
Just wondered if there's a setting / option to make it expand with a swipe
Similar behavior with tap ... on Samsung you tap and it'll launch the app, in ColorOS you can't tap until you've expanded each notification and then when you click on an email it takes you into that one email and then returns you back out to home when dealt with.
Is this a behavior just something i need to adjust to?
