+1 Super Manager. While you're in the settings ... scroll to the bottom and disable the background service too. I've never seen a use for it myself.

What SMS apps do you use? If you are using Handcent, for example, and you have not disabled the stock messaging app's notification, that might be it.
if you post a screenshot i might be able to tell you
I using Handcent but I do have my stock messaging disables... the icon looks like a postcard :s

Hey!
I'm new at this, and I just got my LGO2X today. The question I have is this:
Can I, without problems, remove following apps:
- Facebook, Twitter and MySpace for LG?
- Preinstalled apps?
- Car Home?
- RemoteCall?
- SIM Toolkit?
Yeah... but i would recommend just freezing them.
And freezing them means what? And how do I do that?

Is it possible to freeze or disable so that the icon for alarm/clock and call log disappears but can be used?
I think it's stupid to have those icons that can be launch via the app "Clock" and "Phone" instead.

If you use LauncherPro then you can go to Preferences > General Settings > Hidden Apps
By that you still have the app's installed but they won't take up space in the drawer.

Yeah, I know but I'm not a fan of LauncherPro. I want to use LG Home, think that looks nice
Has anyone who has had handcent installed on their Z experienced that more often than not it keeps force closing? Is this more likely to be down to the app itself and not the device?
I have used handcent with all my other android phones and have never encountered this issue on such a regular basis.
Many thanks..
I use Handcent every day, and no FC at all, sorry

I don't have stamina mode on. More often than not it force closes when I go into handcent settings to make some adjustments and kicks me out.
Very frustrating, as I use no other messaging app but handcent.
I know it's a silly question but have you uninstalled & re-installed it? Any difference?
I use it without problem. Only app I have issues with is CoPilot - it does not like the screen resolution.
Go to application manager and clear cache. It may help

Excuse my ignorance, but where do I find application manager?
Maddoguk,
Yes, have uninstalled handcent twice but still the issue remains.

Is it application settings that I'm looking for as opposed to application manager, as I can't find that? If so, cache is greyed out so won't let me clear it

Hello,
I was trying to change the location in the weather app and suddenly the app crashes and I can't open it again. When I press on the app icon it opens and closes instantly.. I tried to clear data and these things but none.
Is there any solution for this problem?
Thanks in advance.

"Transparent clock & weather". Sometimes it doesn't seem to update my location but other than that it's great! Very configurable.
I was using Fb lite and all of a sudden appeared a pop up that says it's opening the browser alot and I toggled it off by mistake and ever since then I can no longer open any webpages from the app for some reason . The pop up that appeared showed all applications that could open the Samsung internet browser with an ON/OFF toggle next to every app . Does anybody have any idea how I can access it again to re-enable Fb lite ?
Did you get this issue solved?

Nope. I reset all app preferences, cleared cache and date and even uninstalled and installed the app again and still no luck and I can't seem to find that option again .

Issue solved ! Turns out the problem was not the Fb app itself but rather the Samsung Browser . Had to install it again . The option is hidden way inside the settings in advanced options
