I noticed this too and came to the forums for an answer, however I found my own answer.
I believe it's related to the apps with data stored on your SD card. When your phone boots up it takes awhile to check the SD card, by that time it's already checked for the icons for the programs in your games folder.
A quick solution is to hit the personalise button, then the first option marked Scene, change the scene, change it back and you get your icons back without having to drag them back out

Had the same problem, for me closing the folder and reopening it solved the problem, but it is a pain!

You can also reload your launcher as well. If your HTC Incredible S is stock, just kill HTC Sense. It will restart automatically.

I have a few questions regarding widgets and apps that don't seem to work on my phone

Hey guys, I have a few questions about my phone and apps. I have an odd problem concerning widgets. It seems that I download an app and put a widget on my home screen and it works. The problem is when I restart or turn off the phone and go to place the.widget back in the place it was, the widget is not listed on the screen. So I have to reinstall the app to get the widget working again.
The other annoyance/problem is the updated facebook app, is a better one out there because with this one, when I click on things it takes me to the website...is there a better app out there? Otherwise ill just use my bookmark.
Also, I am running KF V36.
THANKS!

Check to make sure where your apps with widgets are being downloaded to. If they are being sent to the SD card, that's the problem. Not sure on the Facebook issue. I think some things will always be linked to the website (someone correct me if I am wrong).

Oh ok! I just checked and the install location was being directed toward the SD Card
Thanks!

[Q] titanium backup messed up icons question

I used titanium to backup all my user data and apps. I also noticed titanium had an option to move all my apps to sd card, so I went and did that. I also deleted backups for non installed apps.
One of these three operations seems to have removed the icons for some of my widgets/shortcuts on my home screens. Some of the icons say "Problem loading" and I can not click on them.
Is there a way to fix this?
Remove that icon and drag again the widget to desktop?

I would but its like half a dozen icons and i dont remember what they all were. I just did a restore all. That made me install all my apps again. Still did not fix the problem.
I guess I'l lreplace the icons manually once I need them and remember what they were.

Press your menu button and choose Manage Apps. From there find the Media Storage app, and select the Clear Data option. Reboot your phone, and the problem should be fixed

Yeah, it was a pretty common problem for most people flashing to early versions of ICS roms, I think its a one time fix though - so you won't see it happen as you flash any other ROMs.
Glad to help
Also noticed another problem. Using the stock camera as it saves to SD is fine but if you use a 3rd party camera in my case camera FX so as to save to emmc you can't delete pictures/videos, they will remove from gallery but not the card and will pop back up again in the gallery unless deleted through file explorer.

[Q] Screenshot help

I'm having problems with taking screenshot. I'm new to the HTC one's. Just got my phone 2 days ago and I'm trying to get familiar with the ins and outs of this phone. I just tried to take a screenshot by pressing volume down + the power button. It took the screen grab but got a notification saying "Can't take screenshot due to limited storage space, or isn't allowed by the app or your organization."
Don't know why my storage would be limited when I have 18 gb left.
Can someone help me with this. It would be much appreciated
I figured it out. For some reason the sense ui doesn't play well with screenshot. Don't know why, but the phone couldn't recognize the file or folder it was supposed to save the screen grab in.
I went into settings > personalize > Change home screen launcher and then switch to the "easy mode."
And then take a screenshot by pressing volume down + power.
It should take a screen grab and save it into the default folder. (make sure to check the folder if your screenshot is their)
Then I went back and switched from easy mode back to sense home. Took a screenshot and it saved it to the default folder.
Hope this helps anyone who comes across this problem!

I forgot to add that before you switch over to easy mode, you need to get a file manager and navigate over to your SD card. Find the folder labeled picture and delete it.
When you take a screenshot in easy mode, a folder will be created to save your screenshots into. Sorry if this got confusing

I am having this problem now only it just started after I unlocked the bootloader and rooted my device. It is saying "can't take screenshot due to limited storage space or it isn't allowed by the app or your organization"... I used the SuperSU 2.48 beta. It's the only thing I can think is causing the problem. Any thoughts?

Can't turn on mobile data

I was about to backup my apps with titanium and saw the option to integrate system app updates into rom and figured it would be safe and a smart thing to do. Well as it progressed I got various force close messages and ultimately several system apps ended up being uninstalled such as launcher or keyboard. I got them back and running fine but now I can't turn on my data. I can see a signal just not access it. Do you think that's a app titanium messed up or what.
Ok just browsing my phone and the radio folder is empty. Could this be it?
still Need help my data usage force closes too but it's installed
Fixed
I would say how honestly im not sure. My data usage screen was crashing so i restored a backup of the netpolicy.xml and netstats folder which were apparently deleted as well as restore my htc sense service pack and rebooted and it was on
I like root but ill think that aside from a custom boot animation im gonna leave the rest alone.,

Yeah, until we get RUU's from HTC, you're better off safe than sorry!
They should not release phones without also releasing the RUU's along with it!
Glad to hear that you got it fixed though!
