just bought premium, and there are no roms in the downloads section. thats the reason i bought it. so i could be lazy lol. is it no longer active?
You have a cappy I assume? I got my flash of Cyanogenmod 7 from Rom Manager, although it doesn't update nightly builds.
did you flash clockworkmod at the top when you open ROM manager?
yes i had installed manually then did it through rom manager
the only rom, rom manager has for the cappy has is cm7. on other phones it has more options and is useful ... on the captivate, not so much.

you have to go into cm settings>system>update notifications.. then just press register. And from then on you will be notified if a new update becomes available.
I'm on cm7 and I update through rom manager pre.
For nightlies.

yea im just going to go ahead and get a refund because its not even showing cm
.. what does it show you when you select Download ROMs?
the words premium and free
Yeah it should be showing a few things like Google apps and a couple other items. CyanogenMod should be listed. And under premium you should see nightlies. Silly question but have you tried to reboot and check again?

now it shows extras and google apps.
Just did an interesting test, i restored back to stock Froyo, did master clear and rooted, then flashed speedmod kernel to use clockwork, then put rom manager and my premium license and lo and behold, no CM at all.. just Extras and Google apps. Flashed the newest nightly of CM7 over that and then all the CM7 stuff appeared.

hmm. So by the sounds of it, you must already be running CM to see the ROM and updates. Thats what it sounds like anyway. Interesting.
I installed cm from rm premium on continuum 4 the other night. However it never showed nightly builds after the flash.

Hey guys,
I have a nexus one currently running cm7 rc1.
I heard that rc2 came out.
Is there anyway that I could upgrade to rc2 without loosing anything that I currently have on rc1?
What do I do? Could I use rom manager?
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
Just flash it over but do a backup first just in case.
Yes, just use ROM Manager to flash to RC2, just don't do a factory reset / wipe and all your settings and apps will carry over.
Depending on what kid of user you are, you may also want to look at Titanium Backup, its a pretty amazing tool. It has a slight learning curve but it really lets you take control of what you want to carry over from one build to the next, specially when you are going between different rom products that require a complete wipe
Soooo, all I have to do is to download the rom and gapps, and only do a backup- no wipe. After I do that will I have the same layout as rc1 but it will be rc2?
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
Yes, but be careful, flashing can be habit forming and RC's are a gateway drug. You'll be a crackflasher in no time.

Should we wipe to move from 2.3.3 to 2.3.4?
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
You shouldn't need to wipe whenever you move minor versions, but it doesn't always work perfectly, and sometimes you end up needing to wipe anyway. Always nandroid, just in case something ends up going wrong on the new install.

Try to clear your data in download manager.
Settings, applications, manage applications, all, download manager, clear data.
Cleared data, still no go. This is a fresh install from yesterday btw.

I would just go back into recovery, clear dalvik, clear cache and flash the ROM again.
Ill try that

Download them from the market.
They're not included in the Gapps anymore.
Did you flash CM7 then let it boot then try go back into CWM? If you do the reverse ie: flash CM7 in CWM but before booting flash gapps and see if that works.

Got Some apps
ok i got market app and gmail app atlast. No youtube. i installed youtub.apk but it force closes
My task manager is gone from the app drawer. I reflashed my rom, but still the same. Flashed another rom and still the same! I did full wipe and everything else, but he is not showing. I can enter through the Recent Applications, but its not in the App drawer. Could it be from connecting the phone to my Philips Smart TV with the usb cable? Any ideas on how to fix this?
Try to see in the system/app if it is there.
If it is there, do you have app installed that hide the said app not to appear, for example a go launcer.

It's there and it's not from the launcher. I tried TSF, TouchWizz and Apex and he is not there...
Try to format your internal sd. Be in safe kernel first before doing it like speedmod k3-13 if your on ics rom.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
Yes, im on ICS with Hydra Core kernel. Is it safe?
Yes you are safe. Its better to factory reset and check also the format usb storage, remember if you do this you will lose all your data. Use titanium if you want, before restoring pls check if the said app appear.

Hi Folks,
I have flashed kallt_kaffe's rom located here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=28871951&postcount=1
Everything worked except these:
I can't see my galaxy tab anymore on 'my computer' when I connect it via usb. Also Kies can't recognize the tablet.
I have flashed gapps however not everything installed along with it. Google Maps is missing for example and when I try to do a voice call through Gtalk, it shuts down immediately.
What would you suggest?
Just found the solution to the first issue: Enabled MTP device via storage settings.
However looks like Gapps does not install properly; Google Maps is missing and voice/video calls in Gtalk won't work
Re-download gapps and re-flash it. It may be a bad download.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using xda app-developers app
I did it like 5 times and still won't work.
Also checked the files if they are in place through ES file explorer and they indeed were.
Tried to install some of them and got 'install failed' error...

Uninstall gtalk and then reinstall. Get maps and gtalk from the store. That'll probably solve your problem.

More importantly, I wouldn't commit to that particular ROM, as the developer abandoned it without warning almost two months ago.
I did it uninstall and then reinstall and it still did not work, so frustrating.
Very strangely, when I accessed the Maps through the store app, it told me that it was not available in my country??
and later I was able to install it through the browser.
Plus when I chose 'all the apps from Google', I could see only the one third of all their apps.
I can't figure this out... only for this I could go back to stock ICS.

Try android 4.2.1, it's a dream on this tab...
Thanks for the suggestion. I found the solution to the Gapps issue, just replaced the Gtalk from an old Gapps package and it worked like a charm.
Anyway is that ROM stable yet?

I'm using C-o-M's unofficial CM 10.1 and it's simply amazing. It's breathed new life into my tablet and I no longer feel the urge to run out and get a Nexus 10 just to have the latest version of Android.
