Hi there,
I'm having an International P1000 that came unlockled with the following details.
PDA: P1000JVJM5
PHONE: P1000JXJM2
CSC: P1000OJVJM5
But every time I put in a sim card, it will reboot because it has detected a sim card. Then after starting up again it tells me that there is "No SIM card in device". I've tried it with 6 different sim cards, from different providers and even from a different country. All with the same result.
*#7465625# Tells me that all the locks are OFF.
Does anybody have any idea what could be the problem?
have u inserted the sim card fully and close off the simcard bay?
Or try shutting down completely and insert the sim card then power on?
If you have, sorry I have no Idea what could be wrong (hardware defect maybe?)
You would have to bring it back for warranty.
UNIQUE .. may you take ur tab to the samsung service center , maybe its hardware issue ..
can i ask u rude question based on how long you used the tab ( did u put the simcard correctly ? ? ? pls check .. another thing ,, if u bought the tab now , so u better go and replace it

Are you sure the tab is unlocked??
Try unlock it first.
That's my personal opinion.
Good luck

Got myself this data only subscription, got a micro sim. Made an adapter for it, had a little trouble inserting... But still.
Didn't ask for pin codes.
When i insert it it sees it, it restarts, says no signal, and then i get a message "insert sim card" after a few seconds...
Called the handler, told me to get a usim
Got a usim
Didn't ask for pin codes, and the same problem.
Used another phone and removed the pin code, still didn't help.
It is able to read and use 3 different sim cards, from 3 different handlers, which is regular, not data only. (I get an "H" up and internet works, but no 3G. Whatever H stands for it's way fast.)
Got a new sim, didn't work.
Tested it on another Gtab and it worked.
Is it possible that messing with the sim slot while trying to insert the mico sim could cause the problem in some way? Phones are not my thing.
And i was wondering is this original firmware settings? (Bought it off someone else)
pda: jme
phone: jma
csc: jme
I tried to change the firmware, which i suppose was stupid of me, it crashed during the flashing. Got it up running again, but at least the Phone part did not change.
So the question really is, why this is happening.
H = 3g data
Read up on that and yeah, it's "3.5G" but it still won't register the data only sim card.
If this is a GSM tab. Unlock it first.
Flash it with Roto's JMI v2 Rom and include a modem.bin file.
search the developers forum for Roto's unlock thread. Follow those instructions and you can't go wrong.
Hi I bought a Samsung Galaxy S3 i9305 a couple of days ago, it is an international factory unlocked version, now my problem is that when I inserted my new micro SIM it doesn't detect it, one thing I noticed though is that aparently Im using and Orange ROM so I dont know if that's causing the problem, the version of android is JB 4.1.2 the latest build, so what do I do? (Note: I cutted my SIM to make it a Micro SIM but Im sure I cutted it right it fits perfectly and I didn't cut the chip) please help me with this I want to use my new phone

try another sim and see if the problem is gone if another sim card works its ur sim
try another Rom and see if the problem is gone
and also check the IMEI and also tell me where u bought ur device
and if none of this then its the sim tray
Thanks for the reply I'll try everything however don't you think that its strange that the rom is not allowing my micro sim to be recognized? Is there any way I can check if it is truly unlocked? My IMEI numbers match perfectly ( the one you see trough android and the one you see on the back of the phone)

there is always that problem which u can't predict in android
i don't know of such way but if your not check galaxy sim it unlocks the sim
well that is good cause if the IMEI didn't match on both means someone changed it and it is illegal to do so
We came to Costa Rica with two identical GT-19000M Samsung Galaxy S phones and both worked just fine. One appeared to lose the ability to pick up its signal. I have a proven working Sim card from the first phone. The second phone has been updated on Kies and factory formatted quite a few times. When I put the working Sim card into the second phone it asks for the Costa Rica PIN number (which it should) so I know it is finding the Sim card. Once booted up everything looks normal like in seeing it has the Sim card but I am unable to get service. Switch it back to phone #1 and I have 5 bars of service. Any ideas would be appreciated.
have you tired flashing a different baseband? check the baseband of the phone that has no service and see if it's the same as the one that has service.

It is indeed a different baseband but I am out of my league. I looked on line and do not know how to flash it.
you will need to find a baseband for your region, all you will have to do is boot to recovery and flash it then reboot. some basebands here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1158783
the links here are died but will give you idea of region you will need http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1870460
Hello I just got a SIII Mini GT-I8190 From a friend who told me that it doens't accept sim cards.
Phone bought in greece and it's factory unlocked>
Thing is that Phone accepts sim cards(asking for pin code) but then it wont(?) Register to any network.
When it starts is says Emergancy call only and after a while it says nothing.
Imei is the same as in the backside sticker.
I Installed Cwm,rooted and installed that file http://d-h.st/oNG
From here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2526831
But didn't see any fix.
When i press *#1234# i take these:
AP :I8190XXANC2
CP :I8190XXANC2
CSC :I8190EURANC1
I suspect that is hardware related problem, but it would be nice if i could make all the moves so i know that it's hardware related and not software.
Btw Device is on official 4.1.2 firmware.
Any Help would be appreciated
Also let me know if u want any other infos and sorry for my bad english.
Regards
Hello to Everybody,
3 days ago I bought in Hong Kong a new Samsung Galaxy Note 5, model N920R4, I think US Cellular. The Phone worked correctly with all the Sim Cards, but now, after a Soft Brick and a new Flash with Odin of a R4 Rom, the phone don't take the signal. He ask me to put the Pin Code but after that No Network
In the First Start, after a Flash with Odin, in the windows "Activate Device" I see a message... "Unsupported Sim card" . Maybe was Unlocked and with a new Flash I relock the Sim Card?
I tried with Chinese Sim card and Italian, the both worked correctly before. I'm sure that is not an HW issue.....but how I can fix?
Thank You very much
Ok, I think that my phone is not Locked. But there is somethings that don't allow it to have service. In the menu setting I can select LTE/GSM network but don't work. My MSL/SPC is 000000.... Can be this the problem?
Thank you guys
