BT Headset Music Quality BAD - Nook Color General

I have an old Southwing SA505 BT Headset that works well with my Droid Inc. I paired it to the NC on Stable CM7 7.0.3 with the 4/24 OC Kernel.
Paired ok but music skips and stutters.
Ideas?
EDIT: It is the distance/range known problem after further testing. It is really bad though. Holding the NC at reading distance in my hand and wearing the headset is "too" far for it to hold a steady signal. If I hold the NC to my head like a boom box and wear the headset then it sounds/works fine.

bluetooth isn't working correctly yet, it was just discovered a couple weeks ago, i'm surprised it works at all

I know this but many are using BT keyboards with good results and I paired a phone and transfered files between the NC just fine. I find it interesting that BT audio is so bad. Also it has been more than a "couple weeks".

Good Bluetooth headset for Tilt

I've read plenty of threads on here about the bluethooth issue with the tilt/kaiser. I have tried a few bluetooth headsets, but they are not very good at all.. Please give feedback on the models you've used and if is good or not

I think the Aliph Jawbone is the best by far. Noise cancellation technology that originated in Department of Defense Advanced Research Projects. I have conversations while I'm driving and the other party has no idea that I'm on a cell phone.
Jawbone has received topnotch ratings in every review I've seen.
I absolutely love the motorola s9!
Jabra bt8010 is very good, but volume is low like others
I also recommend the BT8010 -- but wait until the weekend, as Fry's has had half-price weekend deals on the headset a couple times over the last month or so.
If you have Money and you like Cristal Clear Sound ... buy Sony DR-BT50. Its the only Bluetooth Headset with a Semi Profisional DA Converter. It works with 24bit and you hear the different!!!! 17 hours runtime is the next point.

Concur...This is what I use and it works great!
I have the jabra BT620S stereo bluetooth headset...just got it and paired it up this morning...seems to work great, volume can get decent but not as loud as my wired sennheiser, hopefully i can find a bluetooth hack to boost it somehow
I use the S9 and they work great for me. I have a friend that can't stand them, I think it is pretty hit or miss on how they fit your head. Some people love em but I htink if you have average size head you are fine, too big or too small and they don't fit very comfortable.
The battery life on them is fine, I use em a few hours a day and I plug it in once a week with no problems.
The sounds quality is good and volume is ok but not as loud as wired.
the jawbone, is it stero? the one I glanced at only was bluetooth headpeice not a headset. did I find the wrong one?
Thanks for the input so far guys... But I'm looking for more of call volume and being able to hear nice and loud.. I need this more for work and really am not using it for music... I too heard the Jawbone was suppose to be good but the Tilt is bluetooth2.0 and the jawbone only supports 1.2 or something like that.
for some weeks i use this
http://www.accessoryjack.com/servlet/the-570/i.Tech-Clip-Radio-Bluetooth/Detail
and i am very very happy
excellent quality in music listening
good fm receiver
more than 9 hours battery and bl handsfree in one pack
S9 Is great, just bought a Jawbone...charging now
Love my Jawbone.
I have had very bad luck with the Jawbone. They seem quite delicate. I had one fail and a friend also had his fail. In addition, they are terrible in the wind. The other party cannot hear you at all if there is any wind, so use outside is limited at best. If you will only be using it inside, then the Jawbone is OK.
I recently got a BlueAnt Z9. It also has good noise cancellation technology, seems more robust, gets plenty loud even with tht Tilt and does not have big wind problems. Also, BlueAnt is continuing to refine the firmware and provides free update.

I use Plantronics Discovery 665 and it is great. AudioQuality is absolutely amazing. the best I've had so far. For stereo I use Plantronics 590E witch is also very good, but gives a little to much bass i think. That can be fixed by using PocketPlayer 3.51 witch by the way is the best musicplayer I've ever used on a pocketPC.
Just my two cents anyway
Moby
Yes I'm just using this inside with no wind.. I need one with the volume loud enough.. I just got the Jabra bt 8040 and the volume is so low... I will be returning this.. So the jawbone works...? I heard that the jawbone is only bluetooth 1.2 or somehting like that and the Tilt supports bluetooth 2.0.. I just hate having to try out a bunch of different headsets and returning them for another... I use it quite a bit for work, so need one with LOUD volume
BlueAnt Z9
I have a few headset's that I've tried with the Kaiser (running XDA V1.2 w/volume patches). I know I have more in boxes, but these are the ones I could find.
I purchased a BlueAnt Z9 because it runs BT V2.0 and it fits my ear better than the Nokia BH-900. IMHO the Z9 is clearly the better headset for volume on the Kaiser It's a bit tinny to listen to, but I can get the volume very loud with this headset.
I have tried the following 5 headsets:
Nokia BH-900, Wireless - Bluetooth 2.0 EDR, good volume and no cutouts
JawBone, Wireless - Bluetooth 1.2, low volume and background hiss
Motorola HS850, wireless - Bluetooth 1.2, low volume w/hiss
BlueAnt Z9, Wireless - Bluetooth 2.0, good volume, no cutouts
Sony HBH-300, Wireless - Bluetooth 1.1, low volume
My limited experience with headsets seems to show that BT 2.0 headsets function better with the Kaiser the BT 1.x headsets.
Anyone else find this to be true?
I've been using the Plantronics 665 for months and it's great. A friend has used his for over a year. It has good noise cancellation, good volume, and it is very light weight.
I use a Jawbone on my Wizard and now my Tilt. It actually has better sound on my Tilt now, and people I talk to have asked me if I got a new headset when I switched to the Tilt.
The Jawbone is better than the Plantronics 510 I had and the old Jabra 320 (I think, older version of what is now the Jabra 500) for me with sound quality.
I do a LOT of conference calls, and am on the phone for sometimes hours dealing with system issues. The Jawbone has been great. I have even walked out of my office and gone downstairs to the kitchen before I started hearing cutting out and realized I had left my phone upstairs (so the range is great with the Tilt).
YMMV, but I recommend the Jawbone with the Tilt based on my experience.
Jawbone automatic gain?
When I first hooked up my jawbone to my 8525 the first thing I did was turn on the vaccuum and was amazed that it actually did ratchet up the volume. Shortly after that, it simply stopped adjusting. Now on the 8925, no change.
Happy with the jawbone, but it certainly doesn't do well with direct wind though.
My last headset I loved was my Bluetrek G2, comfortable beyond belief! Did fairly well in the wind as well...

Reviews for Best Bluetooth for Touch

Just received my Sony Ericsson HBH-DS980 Stereo Bluetooth Headset. It's being charged up right now. I'll let everyone know hows the sound quality tonight.
Paid: 99.99 + 5.95 Shipping = 105.94
Edited: Here is what i have experienced with this unit.
Here are the Specs: http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/products/accessories/overview/hbh-ds980?cc=&lc=
Sound: Great Clarity and rich Bass( Sounds like your in a car thats equipped with Sound System)
Range: Since it is Bluetooth Version 2.0 , it has better range than any other bluetooth headset Version 1.2. ( My previous Stereo Bluetooth by LG HBS-110 was V1.2. While listening to music, it got cut off when i went into another room, and came back on when it was in line of sight.) On the Sony Ericsson, it was cutting off a little bit but not completely off, and can go farther than like the LG)
so far thats with the Music portion. Still have to play around with it more to see whats great about it.

I ordered it on 12/11/07 at night and it got here 12/14/07 in the afternoon. I choose their cheapest shipping, but it got here faster than it was scheduled.
cool, thanks. Let me know how they sound with the touch as I was thinking getting a pair or the blueant z9.

I think Sony DR-BT Serie is better. Its more a Headset for Bluetooth MP3 Player. They have better DA-Converter inside. I use in the moment ... DR-BT50.

i've been using the Sony DR-BT10CX for the past few months and am very pleased with the sound quality i am receiving. i am having two major problems that i do not know how to fix:
1. every time i go to connect the headset to the phone, i have to go into the bluetooth settings, uncheck the boxes a) wireless stereo and b) headset, then save those changes. then i have to go back into the settings and re-check the boxes and save. - this is a nightmare of an issue, when the headset should simply connect automatically when turned on.
2. making calls is fine, but when a call is received it does not answer through the headset, but through the phone. pointless if you are driving for example...
if anyone knows how i can fix this, i'd love to hear a solution...
MBR-100 Sony/Ericson stereo receiver
I'm using the MBR-100 Sony/Ericson stereo receiver to stream music to me car stereo via 3.5mm input cable and to me earbuds when I am riding on my motorcycle. It connects quickly, sounds good and lasts about a week between charges. I only commute about an hour a day. I got it for $80 at Fry Electronics. I have seen a few of them ob ebay as well.
HT820 + Telus P3050 Touch
I have the Motorola HT820 on a Telus Touch P3050 Vogue and it is very good. I am pleased with my choice.
Sadly I must say stay away from the BlueAnt X5's...horrid sound quality. It seems that the sony's have good sound quality, at least as good as a wired buds that are included. The X5's are much worse. Less spatial seperation, more "muddy" sound, just not good.
Everything I've heard and read about the Jawbone BT headset says that it's a very high quality unit, with excellent noise reduction/cancellation properties. I'll be getting one when I save up some pennies. (10,000 pennies to go!)
i'm using the BlueAnt Z9 with the new 3.4 firmware update and, for me, it's loud and clear with the Vogue. i actually have to turn it down...i have not had any complaints from others when using the headset. when i purchased the Z9 it had the 3.0 firmware and the volume was very acceptable to me. also, the 3.0 firmware allowed you to control the volume with the phone. with the 3.4 firmware, all volume is controlled by the headset.
Jawbone
I have the black jawbone best bluetooth I have used thus far and I have tested quite a few. connects flawlesly and quickly as soon as you turn it on and the noise cancelation that the jawbone is famous for actualy works
I have an old wep150 (samsung) I got it for another phone about a year and a half ago. Its sounds worse on the vogue than it did on my motorola phones. I hope to get a nice stero headset for listening to music and calls. I'm glad to hear the sound quality is good for these devices.
BT
I use the Jabra BT 5020 works awesome on my sprint (cdma) touch. Long life too.. I have always like the jabra products. You can also pair it with multiple devices. it has vibrate.
Timdawg
Just got the SE HBH-DS970 and it works pretty well. the call display only shows the number not the name unfortunetly. And My music tracks don't seem to show up on the screen. Any one else experience this?
I just got the new MOTOPURE H12 the other day and really like it. I got rid of the Jabra BT8010 because I felt like I had to yell into it. This new H12 is pricey at $129.00 but worth it because I am in the car alot. This thing is very small and very light. It comes with a cool desktop charger and carrying case that you can use as a charger also. Here is a link http://direct.motorola.com/hellomoto/h12/
Good question, CCRRAR!
Has anybody got a bluetooth to work with Voice Command??! The closest I've gotten has been with the Blue Ant Z9, I manage a RadioShack, and we just started carrying that unit. It is small, lightweight, comfortable, and very good volume. Better than almost any Motorola bluetooth re: volume. The plantronics are good volume as well, but a bit bulkier. But the Blue Ant actually recognizes Voice Command! The problem, like most, is it doesn't recognize the confirmation.
Very Frustrating!
Anyone found a fix? I've tried some that profess to be the "true fix" but no luck.

Best BT stereo headset that WORKS well with diamond

Hi all
I have never used an phone has an mp3 player up untill the diamond i really dont know why... now my problem, i have been using the wire headset that comes with the package it works awfull i really hate the cord it keeps messing up all over.. the other problem whenever i want to skip a music i have to turn on the diamond and select the next song, i tought on buying that htc accessory that has controls on it, seems nice, but i believe then the cord becomes huge.. so i tought on a2dp ( never used it actually) so i wonder wich ones work well with the diamond i mean not having to turn on the diamond to go forward on the song list.
thanks for all the good work, the diamond is a great phone but if it wasnt for XDA it would be a great phone with some annoying flaws.
I'm using GGBlue without any problems.
Using Motorola S805, works great!
Sound quality much better than with TD-headset. Full bass, warm sound.
Plantronics Pulsar 590 has been around a couple of years, but still seems to be one of the best stereo BT headsets on the market. Better sound quality, a decent mic for voice and works well with the Diamond. I broke my first set and just ordered another.
The looks aren't too svelte but I prefer the over the head kind than the behind the head because I find them much more comfortable when exercising.
I've been using a Jabra bt320s - supports the profiles you need, fairly decent sound, and nice n small. Lasts a long time on a single charge too.
Nice thing about it is that you can connect any headphones you want, as it has a 3.5mm stereo jack. So you're not limited to wearing a giant headset, and can use them at the gym.
I use the Sony DR BT 10 CX Bluetooth.
Great sound (incredible base), lasts over 8 hours at full blast. And it has no delay, so you can even watch movies in sync with the audio.
if you want it even smaller and be able to choose your own earphones, look at this one: Sony Ericsson HBH-DS220. though it doesn't last as long and has a little delay
i am using both motorola s9 and sonorix obh-0110. both are working fine.
jabra 320s. auto connects brilliantly once paired.

Sony MW600 Bluetooth stero headphones

Hi everyone, I just recieved my Sony MW600's in the mail and charged it up and paired it to the Focus. http://www.mobilecityonline.com/wireless/store/productdetail.asp?productid=25845
This is by far the best headphones I've used next to the HBH-IS900's I've owned the past 2 years. I would've gotten another pair of the IS900's but didn't want the propitary charging port after seeing the MW600's are micro usb too. Pairing was easy and all the music controll functions work great. The headset has it's own volume adjustments too, but it's touch sensitive which you have to watch out when your holding it by the sides. You can skip tracks or pause music with no problems. Now for watching video they of course don't work because there is a problem with Zune sending sound to the headset, but the controls still work. The FM radio function works pretty awesome, better than my cars tuner. To bad you can't store station pre-sets. Only other thing is finding a place to clip it. Other than that it is a very good buy.
I have it - I second it as one of the best devices for bluetooth.

Bluetooth A2DP quality issue

So, I've looked around...does anyone use their captivate to stream to a car audio receiver? And if so, does it sound like crap for you too? With EVERY rom I've flashed, I have horrible highs, and really muddy lows if I use BT in my car. Friends iPhone 3gs- flawless. I've heard things about bitpool, music players, and bluetooth stacks. Some say the AOSP CM7 builds use the google bt stack, and it's better than what samsung gives us. Can anyone help me here?
My headphone jack has a poor connection to the left channel, so using the AUX cable, I only get audio out of the right side of my car. I've already replaced it once, would rather not have to again since I *should* be able to use BT instead. Hands free would be so nice, but it sounds worse than 128kbps mp3's...
I just started streaming over BT in my car and I was very pleased with the sound quality. To me, it sounds very close to the sound quality when plugged into the AUX port.
I'm running JVZ.

JVZ is an i9000 port, right? I'm not up to date on the current releases. I was wondering if the ICS builds had good audio quality, but no one replied when I asked in the dev thread. Are you using the stock media player too?
Yes, I am running an i9000 build. I just got the new car with Bluetooth, so I haven't had the opportunity to test on other ROMs, because (for the fist time on a while) I'm happy with what I am running.
I have used everything on my phone that makes "noise" including the Audible.com app, Sirius XM streaming app, standard music app and MIUI music app.
