I wanted to start a thread that people could post their results on which metamorph themes work on what Froyo ROM. Obviously we have Kevlar Froyo Mash (thanks KV looks great on KFCv24). Was just wondering what else had been tried and worked.
I have tried a few different themes (some of which have taken on KFCv24) and will report back asap. And i will also provide screen shots.
Edit: Thus far I have found certain portions of Dr. Cloverdales Magic Elixir...
Browser.apk--->changes internet icon to look like google chrome
calender.apk
camera.apk
contacts.apk
ADW launcher.apk--->themes the ADW Launcher
music.apk
phone.apk
settings.apk--->changes the settings icon and the look of the settings menu
vending.apk--->changes your android market icon to the grocery bag
There may be other portions of this theme that take I have not wanted to change the various apks.
There is a metamorph icon that will change the the stock green lockscreen button to blue called BlueRotary that works with KFCv24.
I believe I have taken pictures of the different changes and they are listed below.
Elegant steel is working. A few status bar notifications are missing but everything else is fine.
good froyo metamorph
kevlar froyo v1 and v2 are nice. if you dont like the stock white notification bar you should try this metamorph out.
I use a metamorph that was made for Cyanogen 5.0.8 roms and haven't had any issues. I like the simple black and white idea. You can find it here: http://jbthemes.com/dr_cloverdale/Black_Effects-v3.2.zip . Original post can be found here on XDA at: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=673044
In case anyone is curious, this has worked on KaosFroyo, CELB 1.4, and Tazz's roms too. So good for AOSP/Cyanogen hybrids and Cyanogen roms.
updated first post with pictures
i got the minimalist black from the android theme board working on my cyanogen 6.0 ver 4 on the eris. some things are missing but i think thats the theme. also im in love love love with froyo i cant find a bad thing about it.
Pretty much every theme I've tried has worked fine, but not 100%. The fonts and colors never change for me, just (most of) the icons and the framework.
Has anyone been able to morph the flat phone on a froyo?

Link? I'll give it a shot.
Sorry, its included in the Dark Elegance theme.

All themes will work with froyo by simply changing file names and putting all the images in the framework-res drawable folder.. Just an FYI.

I'm using minimal matte on Tazz's ROM. The only thing that didn't work for me was the icons, but I didn't like them anyway

Meshdroid
You should check out the meshdroid, for 5.0.8 cynanogen. It looks like most of it works and it looks great
Both of my themes work.

This theme looks really awesome. I like the way the sub pages trail off like they're on the other side of a cube. And the effect of the driod image kinda floating in space is a great backdrop!
I'm running Cognition 2.3b3 on a rooted cappy. It is really an awesome combo, whatever kernal/lagfixes etc are on this rom, with its widgits and interfaces-->> it rocks!! Blazing fast, rock steady, smooth are words that come to mind.
Any info on the compatibility of this theme with the Cog Voodoo rom?
Thanks for posting the screen shots.
jw
UPDATED for the latest cog 2.3b3-its the last attachment(marked as 23b3) make sure you download the version that you are running or it will cause problems. Changed the circle batt in this version to the normal smooth green circle instead of the one shown. i think it matches a little better
Updated to work with Cog-2.3B-make sure you download the right one. The second attachment with 23b2 at the end is (obviously) for Cognition 2.3B2
The first attachment with no version at the end of the file name is for those who havent upgraded and are still on the older cog B9.
Im using a custom boot animation that matches this theme pretty well. It is the first one in this thread-
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=696193
Just got done making this theme for the captivate. This is a pretty full theme, also includes evo black bar, circle batt, and a nice notification pull down.
Its compatible with any cognition with the extended power options but the most recent 9.1.3 was the framework that was modified.
This took forever to finally finish.
Just put this on your internal SD and flash with clockwork. Will not wipe anything.
*Just fixed the icons in the power menu(airplane & silent)*
credit to DG for the rom this goes to
credit to fightspit for the circle battery
credit goes to faster3200 for a lot of the original images.
Looks nice! I'd love to try it out but I'm firmly of the belief that if it ain't broke don't fix it. I won't be messing with my phone again til something serious happens.
looks good. gonna backup and test it out
Love this man, get it working for DocRambone's v7 JPO rom too if it's possible
I like the looks of this better then any other theme so far.
Nicely done just did it to try it out worked perfectly

did you try rebooting or anything. its really just modifying the images in framework file, all the other files(even the xml's) in the framework folder are exactly the same.
the only reason i say that is because i have 2 captivates, and every once in a while its like there stuck. sometimes its when going from wifi to 3g and sometimes its just
random and cycling airplane mode will fix it if not then a reboot does.
hey guys this is my very first time posting on this forum i have a captivate rooted and running cog 9.1.3 and just tried your theme and everything started to force close on me any idea what might have went wrong, thanks

Flashed a different theme then came back to this one, everything works great now.
works with the newest v2.3b cognition. no problems so far.
On reboot after install, phone seems to be stuck on the cognition splash screen, vibrating like something is force closing every 5 seconds or so. Any ideas? I am on cog 2.3b.
*UPDATE!! With ED01 being released , i am trying to make sure this theme plays as nice as possible . Im having minor mms issues .. but thankfully it seems to only be me with the issues . Working on theming more apps , and maybe a few other goodies .
I now have the blessing from trax26 to port this amazing work. Hats off to that guy. This theme is HUGE and he put in a lot of hours on it . Thanks to jspidah for an awesome base to work off of * Here is the original theme for the i9000: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=910918
hey guys , dont know who is interested , but im working on porting this for myself and a few others:

--Added Segoe UI Light Font
--Misc framework edits to ensure it plays nicely with newer roms .

-- Signal bars & 3G icon colors have been toned down.
-- Lockscreens are now all functional *used Jspidahs puzzle and epic icons,

thanks guys , and im all ears
i'd try it out. it looks pretty clean although the transitions look a bit choppy imo
you'll probably be able to find the lots of helpful people on irc.. irc.freenode.net, a bunch of themers hang out in #fascinate-themers

they show up , but they are not working correctly , i use WidgetLocker , so its not quite that big a deal to me . more than happy to work on it so it functions correctly .
Its cuz they don't work with the stock samsung player.
You should just bring the tutorial over here for people that are mostly just interested in the homescreen setups.. works like a charm over AOSP with honeycomb theme .. doesn't look too bad either
im in. let me know if you need me to do any thing. i will flash the theme in a couple of hours. there are still like 3 other themes and one rom i have to flash first(i have a bit of a flash addiction, some might say i have a problem).
oh, if you are not sure if something will brick your phone and dont feel up to a brick let me know. i will flash anything.
Not bad everything works well. I like the messaging app. it's missing... something. maybe some color. Maybe also boot animation. when I get back to a computer I will try and send you a link to the windows boot animation. You did a good job.

sorry for the rant.

(1) progress_horizontal.xml (within the drawable folder). Compare yours to one that works correctly.
(2) Make sure you have all the images for it in framework-res.apk. I wouldn't be surprised if that's your problem.

Make sure to decompile the framework, if you haven't already, or else the xmls will look like a bunch of gibberish when you open them.

Home Screen
question: is my home screen supposed to look like WP7? or are you using a home replacement?
Credits:
sk806 for his power control widgets and framework (I just themed what he did)
adrynalyne for Das BAMF!
MicroMod777 and Megarek for their notification icons
droidpirate.com (couldn't find the author of the post) for the cyan 4GLTE icons. Also big thanks to droidpirate for the other battery icons!
bgill55 for the location icon removal mod
whoever made the cyan themed Rosie.
TEAMANDIRC for making it all possible.
FLASH THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR BREAKING YOUR PHONE. Make a backup first, and then you won't have to worry about that.
This theme works with the new Das BAMF 1.5. It should work on any deodexed Sense rom. I've attached a cyan-themed Rose skin. I've sent a couple pms to skins guys and can't seem to find where it came from. If you made it or know who did let me know, so I can either give credit or just link to the thread.
Steps to install:
1. Boot into recovery
2. Do a nandroid backup
3. Install .zip from wherever it is on your sd card
4. Wipe cache
5. Wipe dalvik cache
6. Boot up and enjoy!
The first boot takes a while, it always does when you're messing with the framework. Wait it out! If it hangs for a long time (like 5 or 10 minutes) then pull the battery, boot into recovery, wipe cache and dalvik cache again.
This has only been tested on BAMF, but it should work with anything sk806's mod works with, as well. Please try it out on other roms and report back.
Check out some of my work at www.RootzWiki.com, and hit THANKS if you like it! @CuddlyNinja on twitter, RMHisCOOL on gtalk. Hit me up with any issues.
Download the theme here.
Coming soon:
- More battery options
- Some themed app icons (Amazon, Angry Birds, Calculator, Browser, Dropbox, Ebay, Facebook, Fruit Ninja, Gmail, Nook, Gtalk, Handcent, Messages, IMDB, Kindle, Movies by Flixster, Navigation, Pandora, Phone, Bunch of twitter apps, Rom Manager, SetCPU, Sky News, SNESoid, Stumble Upon, TFLN, Ti Backup, X-box, XDA and Youtube coming up first, because I have those)
- Better 4G toggle icon
- Rory
Nice to see you back

Very awesome, it's about time we got some unique themes.
Well done sir. How would anyone think this would look with a more gingerbread than froyo feel? You know, the sharp lines and cut 90 degree angles? I think it would look pretty damn sexy!
You mean like the CM rom that just dropped? I can port those icons over to Sense, if anyone's interested.
This theme looks amazing. I'm new to installing themes onto my phone, so I have a few questions.
I installed the theme just fine I think, but the only thing that changed is the top bar that shows my battery life, time and signal strength. How do I come about making my phone look like the 3rd thumbnail in the original post? Does it have something to do with that Cyan.apk file?
EDIT:
I successfully installed the Cyan.apk file via Super Manager and selected the Cyan skin in the Personalize tab. Only thing now is that I really like the way the clock looks on the 3rd thumbnail as well as the bar that holds all the volume control. Could anyone tell me how to get my homescreen to look like the 3rd thumbnail? I'm also missing the wallpaper.
Any help would be appreciated.
The clock is a widget called SiMi Clock, with all of the colors changed to cyan. You make cyan by putting the red all the way down, and green, blue and alpha all the way up. The power control widget is called Extended Controls, which lets you pick whatever toggles you want and what color to have the "on". The bottom widget is AudioManager with a cyan skin. You can find the skin in the market by searching "AM Skin cyan" and it'll pop right up. I've attached the wallpaper to the OP. Is there anything else you you'd like to know about my setup?
Thank you so much for your timely response. Everything is perfect now and the set up is amazing.
No problem. I'm glad you're all set up now!
Hi I wanted to know how to get the notification bar with the power controls on it like on the Samsung. Thanks for any replies.
Root a tooth TBolt using XDA App.
I've never owned a Samsung phone but I imagine it looks like the ones I've seen in some Moto Droid roms and in BAMF 1.6.
I don't think you can just "add" the power controls very easily (although I could be mistaken), but the BAMF ROM has them, albeit they don't appear to be customizable. Liquid's ROMs on the Droid had it too, so his TB roms could have the same thing.

You can not add them to easily that's for sure but, you can modify the one built into the Remix roms failry easily. You go in to a file and chage the names in the text example. From toggleMobileData | to toggleBrightness | and now you have your brightness control there instead of the mobile data. You can swap them all out for what ever you like.
If your running any bamf rom you will have these power controls in your pulldown. And more then the samsungs have. Unless I'm not understanding what journal askig but I have the same settings as my fascinate plus 1 more.
Is there a way to completely remove the controls from the pulldown on a BAMF ROM? I'd rather use Widgetsoid
