[Q] [BOOT] Stock/simple Android logo bootscreen? - Desire HD Themes and Apps

I've seen one before on another ROM but I don't remember which - just wondering if anyone has a professional/stock looking boot screen which just has the Android logo or the Android word?

You can get the stock bootanimation by deleting the bootanimation.zip from the /data/Local folder.

mmm and for the original android bootanimation sound?

Droid boot animation?

I remember with some of the early Expresso ROMs, there was a boot animation for the G1 that was a resized version of the Motorola Droid's bot screen, sound effect and all. Does anyone know where to find this?
That would be badass

Try to find a copy of the expresso ROM and stuff it in whatever ROM you're using and sign/reflash.

hey guys, i tried changing bootanimation exactly like in the steps on first thread, first i tried to copy bootanimation.zip to syste/media/ and it said u cannot paste here because the file system is read only ,so i went to data/local/ and pasted there ,rebooted, no new bootanimation , i then went back to system/media and changed mount r/o to mount r/w and it pasted rebooted and no new bootanimation
i had been using custom roms but restored nand backup hoping to get my apps back , they came back but my original rom as well
does this method only work on custom roms?
I also checked the site you refer to for more help but didnt really understand how to do that
any help much appreciated thanks

In the stock rom the Ideos checks the cust partition for boot animation. You'll need a custom rom to push the animation to system/media
thanks tila
worked great, thought it was the custom rom, i read on the froyoman forum someone wanted the original bootanimation, i way prefer the custom ones , the android bee rocks, but if u do use original i hope we can still change them ,
love your work , cant wait for froyoman v3 and gingerman

I'm not sure if it's possible to extract the screen off animation easily but try a search on google and you should find one or two files that will be fairly close to the original.

Is this the qmg file because we don't have a custom kernel for our leak that uses the zip
We already have the crt off and the overscrool mod ported but I just needed the bootani.qmg and the Google splash screen

The qmg format is proprietary and NOT part of AOSP. bootanimation.zip's only

Android L boot animation 540x960

Here is the 5.0 boot animation/shutdown animation I have resized it to fit our screen. To install use a root explorer and copy it to system/media. To use it as a shutdown animation rename it to shutdownanimation.zip, be sure to back up your stock animations just in case you ever want to revert back.

How did you resize
Hey buddy, how did you resize the animations? I'd like to resize a few of my own. I'll repost them if anyone wants...
I keep booting into safe mode lol.
I replaced mine and now I'm not getting the stock OR android L boot, but rather an older style stock boot. Similar to something I had on maybe android 2.?. Any ideas?
