Hi there, I saw this skin and widgets on the Minimal Reader Pro market page and I fell in love with it. Problem is, I have no clue what skin/widget they are and how I can recreate it. Can anyone help?
Specifically I would like to know the weather widget and skin and the time/clock widget/skin along with the background used if possible!
Thanks a bunch!
Looks like simiclock, and. Beautiful Widgets, with transparent Genie widget.
Regards
Hi ! I'm the dev of Minimal Reader, the widgets I used in that screen are Simiclock and Beautiful widgets in 4x1 weather mode with Flat white theme.
The icons are from Minimal theme for ADW Launcher, and the background is from the honeycomb wallpapers that you can find easily on google (can't post it now sorry I'm at work )
But really, that is an old screenshot, I've improved my "minimal theme" on my SGS i9000 and it's now looking better than ever. I will post some screenshots along with the Minimal Reader update that I should have finished by tomorrow.
Keep an eye on the widget thread for new screenshots
Cheers !

^^ Sorry it wont let me post links since this is my first post but just attach the "ht tp"
Hey guys,
This is my first post here and im kind of new to all of this so if you could please help me.. Ive been struggling to recreate this screen i found on another website.
The problems I am having are:
#1 - How do i get the SIMI clock widget to overlap the weather widget? I didnt think it was possible to place a widget on top of another one. Everytime I try it wont let me.
#2 - What is the name of the day of the week widget
#3 - What is the name of the battery status widget
#4 - And this one is a stretch but.. does anyone have a link to that wallpaper by any chance??
Thanks in advance guys, hope you can help
you need launcher pro paid version for this, because in launcher pro you can resize your widgets, and then you can resize simi clock widget like that in screenshot
1. weather widget is beautiful widget 4x1
2. Circle Battery Widget is for battery
3. I think the day of the week widget is Minimalistic Text
and i think this is wallpaper
Thank you so much.. It all worked perfect!
great
maybe its oneseven in the market??
weather widget
does anyone know the weather widget that was used here?
it seems to take up 2 spots vertically and shows like the current weather conditions on the widget.. (i.e. the raindrops to the right of the white line)
sorry im trying to be as clear as i can haha
please help
I think it's Beautiful Widgets.
Why wouldn't you just ask that in the comment section over at DeviantART instead of creating a thread at XDA? :S
several people (including myself) asked about that screen in the comments section at deviantART.. but the artist has not responded so i figured i would try over here.. i apologize
I want the Windows Phone 7 lockscreen for Android, I tried it with Typoclock but the font is too big and it's just not looking like the lockscreen.
The combination of the clock, calendar & "dock" widgets is just awesome. It should be possible to do the same on android isn't it?
And whats about the transparent statusbar, I know it looks creepy just as you start something else like launcher or any app, but isnt it possible to color it as you start an app?
thanks
I second this. I'd certainly cough up a cheeky 99p for this. If I can help with my little to no knowledge of app development let me know. (p.a. this should probably be moved to the general Android apps and themes forum)
No one else? Just tried Minimalistic Text Widget but the Font is too big and it's not looking like the Screen above. Any ideas?
Hello, you can try Widgetlocker ("to create a lockscreen") then put Pure Calendar widget and Mclock widget! That's all! Mclock is the only free one......

It'll be totally awesome if someone can make this lockscreen(the clock, date, notification,... and also the swipe up the whole screen to unlock), I really like the design of it.
Jepp and MIUI is using different notificationbars too. Like on homescreen its transparent and in apps its plain. I would so love to get the design with a totally transparent notificationbar and all the other stuff.
I've got to say, WP7 lockscreen looks very sweet, wish somenone made it for Android. The one on the black Nokia on the left seems really cool:
I have been looking for widgets likethis for ages but can't find anything as good as the wp7 ones
minimalistic text is the closest one but it's not as elegant as the wp7 one
I looked for a list of widgets and was unable to find one. So Im starting a list here. Please post a list of widgets you're using or ones you know of that work good on the G Tab. Thanks.

Good thread idea. I'm a newb, and still looking for good widgets.
So far I'm using Fancy Widget, and Widgetsoid.
Here's a list of the widgets I'm using or have used:
Beautiful Widgets tablet beta
Fancy Widget
Elixir(has tons of widgets and info buttons available)
Weatherbug Elite
Express News
Elixir is the one I'm using at the moment for all power control options, and Beautiful Widgets Tablet for my weather widget.

Do all the Elixir buttons work? I tried the Sound toggle as well as Reboot of Widgetsiod, but neither seem to work.
I haven't tried the reboot toggle, but the sound/mute toggle works well.
Im still trying to find a good RSS widget.
Scrollable News widget is great for RSS feeds. You do need a launcher that supports scrollable widget, such as LP or ADW
I use WeatherBug on my phone and love it but it FCs on my gtab. Instead I use The Weather Channel's widget, it works well and with the largest version it shows plenty of information.
For my RSS needs I'm currently using Google Reader but am not always happy with it. I wish Reddit is fun had a widget.
I also use the stock Power widget.

Thanks, this is great! Have to add a few more home screens now just to have RSS feeds.

That looks nice. What launcher is that? It looks very clean.

It's VT Launcher and I used the LauncherProIcons app to get the LP style icons, and bettercut to apply them. The rest is CM7 with the honeycomb status icons addition.
Widget failed to load
How many widget users have the issue of a widget failing to load after a few days, the only solution being dump the widget and reload it.
Not a big issue, just wondering if it is a launcherPro issue (my default) or a modded gtab issue. LauncherPro native widgets seem to do better.

Hi manikin13,
I havent really had issues unless Im messing around with the settings on my launcher. Im using VTL.Launcher and when i changed the dock background settings some widgets went squirrley. I would say its your launcher. Maybe uninstall and reinstall might fix it.
if anyone needs a good news widget, AtomaRSS is definitely one of the best
I love Beautiful Live Weather but it just doesn't match my ADW theme. What I really want is the sun & moon icons changed. Is this possible?
I'm attaching the icon pack (in a zip) and the beautiful live weather apk if ANYONE can help
Thank you all so much, I love this forum!
Jenn
P.S. - The icon pack is called FlatWhite and was created by xda member hgjkg
I'm interested in finding more information on customizing Android. Such as creating wallpapers, fonts, icons, and Widgets. I know how to decomiple, recompile, edit. 9's, sign, zipalign, and all that goodness. I'm more looking for things like how to place a custom wallpaper, font, icon pack, uccw widger theme, zooper theme, etc on the market or to share or sale on a blog. Or tips on where to get materials for theming such as backgrounds, patterns, .pngs, etc. Or guides on how to best create these for best results. Or info on what other Widgets or other things can be themed and shared with others to download. Any knowledge anyone would care to share. I'm just looking to further educate myself in the theming community. What better way than with lots of info from all different areas. Any input is highly appreciated. Have a beautiful day!

Start off by looking into these apps:
UCCW, Zooper Widget, Desktop Visualizer and WidgetLocker.
Launchers: Nova, Apex, ADW
All those are the main used apps/launchers for people who theme.
UCCW and Zooper have their own threads on here where people have submitted their own custom skins. These skins can be anything from custom icons to calendars to clocks to weather widgets.... Pretty much anything. You can also find these skins on the play store.
WidgetLocker is used to replace your lock screen. This app allows you to have a separate wallpaper for your lockscreen and you can even add custom locks and any widget you want can be put on the lockscreen.
Desktop Visualizer is used to place icons on your home screen. UCCW and Zooper can do this as well but I feel Desktop Visualizer is much straight forward for this.
A launcher is very important... They offer more customization options and versatility than the stock launcher. I highly recommend you get a new one.
Finally, check out the "Post your home screen" thread on here... Users show off their screens and are always happy to share the files they are using.
Also... Everyone gets wallpapers from all over the Internet. A good site to try is deviantart.com. Check it out... They also have skins and icons there. Just type in Zooper Skin or UCCW skin. Check out the apps specific thread on here for instructions on adding the themes.
