Getting closer here... Ended up ditching the vids I downloaded last night for part of the trailer from the upcoming Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. Had to go through 4000+ pics to get it down to just under 300. Just need to do the desc.txt file and test it...
Also thinking of trying to add some audio too it. I haven't made any boot animations for awhile and haven't tried the audio part in awhile. I'll probably just do one with sound and one without so you can have a choice.

Alright, so here we go: http://www.multiupload.com/61BJ6XXR2J . The audio is going to have to wait because I'm heading out to watch Inception with my girlfriend. Let me know what you think though. The timing and frame rate was pretty decent the one time I tried it, but if it needs adjusted, let me know. It isn't too hard to fix. Enjoy.

dude that was pretty awesome if u want to go the the assassins creed website they have a loading screen on the website that is pretty cool maybe u can try that one too

How big should the file be? I downloaded it and it was 50kb and when I replaced the old one with this the boot animation just said android.

Might want to download again with a different browser or upload site. Should be 2.96 or 7 MB. Can't remember off the top of my head.

Yeah actually it seems to be the perfect length. Only hung at the assassins creed screen at the end for a few seconds before everything was loaded.

Yea, that's how it works for me too, and was lucky because that was my goal (instead of a long looping section) and got it on the first try with just an educated guess for the FPS. I also looked into the other animation that jestercing suggested, and if it is the one I was thinking of - the interactive video - then I won't be able to use that. It needs to be a video I can download ala youtube, metacafe, google vids, etc. that I can work with. If that isn't the one you were thinking of, then please provide a link. I'm too high and feeling too lazy to play with the audio part today. Doubt anyone is real dissappointed in that. If there is significant interest then I will try to add something appropriate. Requiem for a Dream seems to be popular in youtube videos.

You need to make sure that the zip file is in your /system/media folder (or data/local, depending on the rom) whether via adb or root explorer.

I tried but still couldn't but my phhone is due for a data wipe so I'll give it a try I love assassins creed preordered brotherhood and got a poster signed by all the devs!!!!!

if ur in the terminal commands:
su
cp sdcard/bootanimation.zip /data/local
reboot
thats how i did it just make sure the bootanimation.zip is in the root of the sdcard.

I took the liberty of making an animated GIF of this bootanimation.
The original has much better resolution, is a faster frame rate, and doesn't loop.
It freezes on the last frame (the second pic) until Android finishes booting.
This one will be nice with a sound file added and converted to the bootscreen style.

Looks great. Only complain is that I can't see when I sent the message (time). Also, sometimes my phone wont send a text and is stuck on "sending", so I won't be able to know when that happens too.

I like it where I can't see the time. That's why I did it the way I did. You can always click on the bubble and then it will display the time. As far as your phone not sending all the time its suppose to error out and say massage not sent.

Sometimes it doesn't. If you delete level "2" apps in ram management in froyo, it just pends in "sending" untill you restart your phone.

There's no need to ever clear lvl2 in app manager. I've always done lvl one with no issue

What's good brah? You never cease to amaze me with your theming skillz. Lovin this new mms. I have one question/request tho. It looks like there's an extra blank line after every message, anyway you can make that say the date and time of the message in a white or silver text? Keep up the great work!

The text fir date and time is there but its black. Personally I wanna remove it all together. If you need to know the date and time its as simple as pressing on the bubble.
Remember this is not a completed project either and there will be updates to improve it and like always I got tricks up my sleve

Just put this on my phone and I'm digging it. You said you don't like the date & time and that's cool...if you ever do an update that includes it then I'm all for it.
My question is this: if I ever decide I don't want this mms theme how do I go back to stock? Do I just remove the .zip file from the SD card? I'm guessing no, but would like to know just in case.

Pull the mms.apk from any ec05 and put it in the zip then flash it

Hey guys!
Just compiled my first boot animations!
STANDARD DISCLAIMER: If anything happens other than this working it's not my fault
Second Disclaimer: You need to be running a kernel that supports bootanimation.zip You also need to be running Froyo since I don't think any of the Gingerbread leaks support bootanimation.zips
Sorry for any confusion caused on my part.
Want to say thanks to the 3 communities I visit daily XDA, AC, and AF as they are filled with an abundance of info that I was able to read through and learn from!

With that note, check the videos for instructions on how to flash them and to see what they look like on the phone.
See Post #2 for .gif previews if videos aren't your thing!
Now, boot animations are fun to make, but take a bunch of trial and error.
This zips includes the boot animation but no sound. I couldn't get the sound to match just right and didn't want to put my name on it if I didn't feel it was just right
I'm sure many will mention the size of them, they aren't small as the images are mostly high res!! Sorry its so big but like someone told me "it is what it is" and I like it
So flash it, if you like it great, if not then just reflash another one and give me feedback
Let me kno if you have any issues.
Instructions​1. Download zip and place it on your SD card.
2. Reboot the phone into clockwork.
3. Flash the zip (you don't need to wipe or anything)
4. Reboot the phone
5. Enjoy!
6. Come back and give some feed back

Thus ensued my week long adventure on the do's and don'ts of it lol

Hi I made this splash screen to replace the stock screen on your rooted HTC Thunderbolt. You must have S-Off / Root in order to install this splash screen.

I cannot be responsible for anything that may happen to your devices when attempting to do this, it has been tested successfully on my personal device and is 100% working on there.

Yeah dude, it is attached. Just remove the LSU_ at the beginning of the name so that it is just PG05IMG.zip and follow instructions. Hope I am not being trolled

I'm on bamf 2.1 and I have changed the boot sound to a ringtone I had that is 15 sec long I think I can get 16 sec long mp3 you just have to rename out to FinalThunder.mp3 and it worked fine for me

yeah its been killer hot this year, was at fort Stewart before here so this is a nice change... anything is better than hellsville GA lol
