XXJW5 exists, but probably it's same as XXJW4 - it can be diffrent only visually, cause XXJW5 is for Czech Vodafone.

Yes, but you should use JW5 only if you are living in Czech Republic and you're using Vodafone operator - otherwise you can have problems with getting signal or you'll have annoying Vodafone logos etc.
I'd recommend you JW4.

There is no XXJW5. It is XWJW5. Initially it was released for vodafone in Czech Republic. Now it is available without any network lock.

I realy dont know i dont own this device but i think trough odin
Do not attempt to flash system dumps. They are for development use only. Use entropys pre rooted update if you need to restore.

I have been running a stock rom from another country on my 8.9 for a while and it worked perfectly.
My guess would be that it will also work with the note 10.1
I dont know about the updates however. Maybe someone else knows this?

If u have links to the roms or hotfile premium accounts y not download and make them accessible for those who havent on sites that dont require premium.I'm currently uploading to my skydrive 10part divided german ics and will upload its jelly bean update too.Even if its 10 parts its worth it as i can download at my true intenet speed and not the file host limitations on free accounts.Hope this is understood!!

As a System no differences ,but as for ME & North Africa there's some Add-Ons
Like Arabic R/W ,SlideME market (google play doesn't work in every country ,e.g :my country) ,and other Things
SI numbers are different from region to other I guess the FW you pointed to is US region
any way I just wanted to share it ,I don't own the device ,mine is SK17i

That's Not Possible Dude ,This FTF is from LT18i ME ,Xperia Mini is MDPI and ArcS is HDPI and There's a lot of differences (Kernel ,Libs ,..... etc) so if this was from Mini it wouldn't even boot normally <if it booted at all>
Arabic Interface is not included (ask sony I didn't modify anything)
as for LT18a instead of LT18i ,Not possible too ,I'm using my FTF and everything is fine
As For Arabic UI ,use the app attached ,it came with the Phone on the SD card

Looks like the other thread doesn't have a link for the latest UK version yet.
Is there a difference between the France and UK *CLK7 firmware? The PDA code is the same, the CSC code is different. Looks like they were released one day apart from each other.

I havent tried the UK version yet but I noticed that the French version didnt have the ability to write and draw on a screen shot.... unlike the 4.0.4 feature

There is a Kazakhstan 4.0.4 (ice cream sandwich) so maybe that contains Arabic?
I think the 4.1 UK supports it though... My girlfriend has taken my tablet with her away for the week so I can't check..

ok now, I'm ready to flash via odin, but I have a doubt: I don't know whether I can/have to root and install the recovery BEFORE updating to 4.1.1 (because I think I would loose root) or if there is a method to do that AFTER the update (and where I can find it an appropriate one)...

You will lose root access but can easily get it back by using CF root via odin... you will find that in this very development section.
This will also install stock recovery but you can easily install clockwork recovery back too
I flashed with Mobile Odin and root was preserved

The Sony Xperia ZR is a touchscreen-enabled, HD Android flagship high-end smartphone designed, developed, and marketed by Sony Mobile.
The phone was announced by Sony at CES 2013 and was released on 17 May 2013 in Japan. The Xperia ZR was initially shipped with Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) and has been updated to Android 4.4 recently. Pre-requisites:
Before we go any further, Please check your phone model number by going to Settings -> about phone -> Model number, If yours match this Number C5502, Then you are good to go.
Make sure your phone's battery is above 50% charge.
Original USB cable.
How to update your Sony Xperia ZR C5502 to Android Lollipop 5.1.1?
To make sure Sony drivers will install properly on your PC, Download the latest version of Sony PC Companion from here and install it.
Download Flashtool from here and install it.
Download Sony FTF file from one of the links provided below :

Now wait until a window prompts asking you to plug your phone with USB cable.
Power off your device.
Press the volume down button and plug the USB cable, The update should begin...
Wait until the update is completed, Unplug the USB cable and reboot your device.
The first boot should take some time...
Now you have successfully update your phone.

How do I get recovery on unlocked bootloader 5.1.1? I would prefer methods without having to flash 5.0.2 back. Like it will be great if there is any stock 5.1.1 kernels with recovery.
And if its not possible without going back to 5.0.2 then how do I get it by doing so?
Edit: Problem solved. I have root and recovery now..

Go to @Nut's website and download the ZR lockeddualrecovery zip or installer.
If you are already on 5.1.1 with root then download the installer on your pc, extract it and run the file after enabling usb debugging and connecting your phone to the pc.
If you are on some other android version with recovery and are going to flash your rom then use the flashable zip and flash it from revovery.
