Plz Help...Seriouz Problem with SIM not taking network

I have posted this problem in Kaiser Upgrading but got only one reply that didnt work either, so posting here too, as i get very few views there, so assuming such problems are better put here... reposting it here.

Hi all!
My Tilt is having a weird problem, which started all of a sudden on 7th morning.
No matter how muchever i try, the phone radio does not connect to my Mobile Network. It keeps saying "searching....." till eternity.
I was using Dutty's V4 + 1.27.12.32 radio.
All was working fine till today early morning. Around 10 am i try to connect to gprs, and i am not able to, then i do a soft reset, and then i see that my phone cannot connect to my mobile network at all. My mobile network is AIRTEL, in India. The phone keeps saying "searching..." and never stops that and hence now i am not connected to my network.
I have flashed different radio roms since morning - .17, .11, .32 again but no luck. Then i reflashed it with Schaps latest 4.33 rom (wm6), but still no result.
Then i thought maybe my sim is bad, and so i put my wife's Vodafone sim, and that worked! (Vodafone works on a different band than Airtel. this i know coz i have a SonyEricsson Mobile handset 3g-enabled of "3" from australia which works only with Vodafone in India, and not with any other network)
Then i put my sim back and it doesnt work again. While my sim is working perfect in my wife's iPhone.
can someone please help me in this, and tell me what i can do?
i wonder if the phone is somehow network locked or something like that ?
i sure did HARDSPL when i first got the TILT one month back. I have also tried flashing with WM6.1 and its respective radios, but with no success.
Please suggest what can i do to get it back up. Its really strange as its been working perfect till morning 8am.

I'd go get a new SIM card and test from there.

did you try checking the phone settings to see if anything there might be the cause of the problem? there is the ability to select/override band selection in the phone settings, along with other things you can try to change.

1. I did get a new simcard and still its unsuccessful.
2. Yes i tried changing the phone settings for changing the BAND, and there seems to be a problem on one of the bands.
VODAFONE works on the 800 band in india. and AIRTEL works on the other one, which is not working...
any other solutions please???

Finally I now have the old rom that came with it back on it incase I try to call the manafcature to see if they can fix it.. Please helppppp.. Will donate if some help me fix it. Thanks

I bought a T-mobile HD7 online few days ago, and i am using it in China now, the operator is China Mobile. I face some troubles these days, and i am searching the whole world but i can't get the answers, please help out.
1. How to identify HD7 is unlock or not? Then i know if i need to unlock it.
2. I could not get any date service (Wifi is not available for me), i am sure i input the correct APN but no data service in HTC HUB/marketplace/Emails, ect. Data connection of the same SIM card works on my old phone O2 Xdalli perfectly, but not on HD7. Is it because of not unlock or how can i get advance settings?
3. I heard that there is "CONNECTION SETUP" on other HD7s, but i cann't find it in marketplace or HTC webside, can somebody send me this app? maybe i can solve the data connection problem with it. Also, i want an "ATTENTIVE PHONE" app, please send me as well if you have.
4. My last question is, i got a T-mobile SIM card in the box, is it come along with any balance or package? Can I use it in China by roaming?

1.Try putting your local sim-card ,if there is no network then yours is locked.
2.For data connection , I got HTC Connection Setup.
You can download it from Marketplace.(its under HTC apps)
Since you dont have Wi-fi I recommand you do this setup at your friends,Or at some internet center.
3.Sorry I dont think its currently possible to send over apps.You have to get it from Marketplace yourself.
4.As for the last question , hy dont you try using the T-Mo card and see what happens

1. Yes i am using my local SIM and got good reception, calls and SMS works fine, is that mean i got HD7 unlock? How to identify lock or unlock?
2. Still i could not find connection setup from marketplace app. Under genres, there is "tools", and i rolled so many pages but i cant not find. I searched also, there is only an app named "student connection", do you have an address? or tell me how to find it?
3. I successfully make it prison break, haha

OK, I successfully flash ROM, the SingTel version:

And there is "connection setup", hahaaaaaaaa, i got the GPRS data connection.

where did you get this rom?

ROMs are in the HD7 Development section.

Internet works but i can't call/get called

Well, i´ve got a serious problem.
i´ve got a milestone.
first, i could send sms and surf through the internet
but now, there´s only a red cross, where the signal stregth should be
and i cant call anybody or get calls. but i am able to surf through the internet.
i already tried to flash another rom, but it doesn't work.
(cyanogen 6.1 , stock VF, stock o2)
i´ve got an old version of the bootloader (90.74/73 one of both) , I think, but i don´t think that this is the reason for the problem.
but when i put an o2 simcard into the phone, i can call and everything, if i put in my Vodafone card, it doesn't work. even with the VF Sim from my brothers' phone. but in my HTC Magic 32B it works pretty well..
i was earlier this day able to send sms, but now not.
whats the reason? how can i fix this?

I think that it's the carrier settings on your mobile.
Try to change it with your OpenRecovery menu.

[Q] cant upload on 3G Vodafone

Hi
I can not upload any files when using 3G. It all works fine on wifi. However when on 3G i can not upload any files it gives me a message saying upload fail network error.
I am using Vodafone and as people will know Vodafone dont have any tech help. I used the rom kitchen to create my firmware. I installed the Vodafone modem.
Vodafone keep feeding me rubbish like restart the phone, take the battery out, change VNP settings. All uter rubbish. Hope someone can help?
