That keyboard was not made by me. I found that in the oxygen forums, it was posted by pepe and packed by rico... I think. So I don't know who to credit. So if someone knows, let me know or I'll just do a little searching. Thanks!

I've wanted this ever since I played around with an O2X, now I can have it on my own phone
I really like the big keys and minimal layout.

Name calling might not be the best method for getting a helpful response. Just out of curiosity, why are you attempting to keep the keyboard backlit? Does your light sensor not work?

I believe by saying 'this' he was implying he'd like to find a way to do this as well.

I believe he's trying to say that he doesn't want the light sensor to control the keypad backlight. He wants screen on = lights on and vise versa.

I figured as much, I'm curious why you would want the keyboard backlight always on draining power, unless it was dark enough out that you are having trouble seeing the keyboard (light sensor).

Exactly. I've run into too many situations where the keyboard needs to be backlit to be seen, but the sensor either flickers the backlights on or does not turn them on at all and I can't see the keys. If I could get a screen on, keys on, mod for this, I'd be delighted.
There is an app called "Keyboard Backlight Controller" that accomplishes what you are looking for. If you don't want another app, it might be worth decompiling and using its code to mod your phone to accomplish the same goal.

I've tried this and it doesn't always work. Although it did manage to lock the soft key backlights on.
Yeah I just tried that app too, doesn't seem to work right. I did a quick search and found this:
A: The keyboard backlight can be controlled via /sys/class/leds/keyboard-backlight/brightness It appears that it's a simple on-off control (echoing '0' turns it off, echoing '1' or higher turns it on). For some reason, the default system backlight control stuff seems to set this to "83", but I don't know why. I can't seem to see any difference between 83 and any other number. The file is readable by anyone, but only writable by root, so you'll need root access to the phone to manipulate it this way.
Maybe this will be of some use to you.
Sent from my DROID3 using XDA App
Going along those lines, the D3 has 7 files in there, all of which as 0 bytes and contain nothing when opened through the Root Explorer text editor. The 7 are alt-key-light, blue, button-backlight, green, kpd_backlight_en, red, and shift-key-light.
So I'm assuming shift and alt are the keyboard indicators, red green and blue are the flashing indicators, button is the softkeys, and kpd is the keyboard.
Now I'm stuck.
I got the text above from wiki. After looking a little closer it doesn't seem to be relavent to what you are trying to do. After looking around a little more I think the problem your looking at is that the physical keyboard backlights are controlled by the light sensor. I don't think you can control the keyboard independently of the screen.

CM7 has this built in along with turning on/off the softkeys

I may be missing it, but how do you access Google Now from the lock screen? Unfortunately, you still can't change the lock screen targets (which is just stupid), and Google isn't in the normal top position like it is on other JB phones with the ring on the lock screen.
I really don't get not allowing the user to decide the lock screen targets. I don't use the stock messaging app, but I can't change the target to open Handcent, so that a useless target I have sitting there.
Today I found something in Google+, when you view a image on Google+ the status bar will fade hiding the signal bars and replacing the status section with a dot like the soft keys.

I wouldn't really say that it was kept quiet in any way. I went back and looked, and it was actually featured prominently in the Honeycomb release highlights - which makes sense considering Honeycomb introduced on-screen softkeys. Of course, it's still up to developers to do their homework and implement useful features like that.

That is different, Google did not mention all the features of Android 4.2 like the split up media volume feature when you have different volumes for speaker and headphones.
Maybe the Android developers secretly added those features to the API's so Google had no idea about those features during and after that latest Android version has been built.
Maybe there is even more hidden stuff that we have to find...

I don't think I'm following you. Android has had multiple audio streams with the ability to independently control volume levels for a long time. I also don't know who you're referring to when you say "the Android developers." Google is the Android developer.

For example if I set the media volume to medium and then plug in my earphones I get a different volume level (not medium) and when I unplug them the volume goes back to medium.

Is "Hide navigation bar per app" still there?
Hi, I've just bought the LG GFlex today. My D955 comes with JB 4.2.2.
I do really love the feature that let me hide the navigation bar per app, I find it extremely useful.
I'm really curious to know whether this setting is still available into the new KitKat update.
Reading that the LG G Pro 2 having already KitKat doesn't have it, although it has a software nav bar, I'm wondering whether this feature is incompatible with KitKat due to its full screen API.
Those of you who already updated their GFlex can please answer this question?
Thanks
I am also interested in this question.
Some have the 4.4.2, could give us the answer.
Thank you.

I'm replying to myself, the problem comes from swiftkey app (swipe keyboard), after unistall it the error message gone. Maybe a compatibilty issue with KitKat.

kitkat update, looking good
Got my kitkat update yesterday (I'm in the UK with an f340 model). Things I've noticed so far:
Text does look sharper (different font?).
Home screen now available in portrait.
Better way of handling apps in full screen (before there was a small arrow at the bottom of the screen to show the soft keys if you'd chosen to hide them for selected apps. Now you swipe up to show the soft keys - definite improvement).
You can hide the volume and/or brightness sliders in the notification pull down.
You can now say OK Google when you launch Google by swiping up the home key.
Signal strength, and other information in the status bar at the top are now white/light grey (I've already forgotten if they were green before!)
Love this phone!
