DDJV6 Changes - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Did anyone notice that :
1) One live wallpaper missing
2) many phone ringtones missing
3) Gallery app buggy
4) Accu weather app missing
5) In messages - whenever you select a message it displays the same again in Black background, but is currently removed
is this same for everyone ??

1. What's wrong with the gallery?
2. You can always download and install the missing apps...
3. The messaging black screen was removed since froyo, I believe...

[Q]Installing icon packs

Hey guys. Simply put, how do I install an icon pack?
I just got myself an Evo 4g a few days ago. I want to install some new icon packs to further customize my UI, but I have no idea how. My phone is not rooted, and i'm nervous about rooting it because I don't want it to brick.
Here's what apps I'm actively running: LauncherPro Plus, SwitchPro Widget, Moxier World, Tajm, Snowstorm Weather, Simply Lockscreen, & Battstatt.
I really like LauncherPro Plus, but I want my UI to look sleek, attractive, and simple.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!
How to Change Icons!
Alright so what I do is I use the app FolderOrganizer. You can create folders and you can choose custom icons or icons that they have to make your phone more "sleek". BUT the better part of this app is that you can edit icons for apps too.
//How to Change Apps icons\\
1. Download or create icons (sized 64x64)
2. Put them onto your SD card.
3. Download FolderOrganizer
4. Once the app is open click on the Apps section.
5. Find the app or apps that you want to change.
6. Long press the app you've selected.
7. Click the last option that says "Change Icon"
8. It will bring up four or five options (assuming you download your icons in a folder on your SD card) click "Android Image Gallery"
9. Find the icon you want to change it to.
10. It will save
11. Press home button and get into the add to homescreen menu (long press)
12. Click add shortcut
13. Go down the list till you get to "FolderOrganizer Item"
14. Then click the "Apps" option
15. Then find the app that you changed the icon of.
16. Then the app will show up on your homescreen with the changed icon!
***This will not change the look of the icon in the app drawer!!!***
***This is not the only app that will do this, but in my opinion it is the easiest***

[Q] Change app icons

So I'm on Crash ROM and I want to change the icons of some of the apps (Phone, contacts messaging etc.) to the ones like the S3 and Note 2. How do I do this? I don't want to use desktop visualiser as it means I won't get the notification on the icon if i get a message for example. I have the image files if that helps.
An easiest way is to install a launcher and s3 theme on it
If you dont like to install launchers then, try this

Make Your Phone Look Like ICS [NO ROOT]

First Post....
I'm A Noob.... Go Easy On Me
This is a tutorial on how to make your phone look like ICS with no root require...i recommend you have some space freed and a SD card to move some apps in there of the ones i will tell you to download.
THINGS NEEDED: (WILL PUT LINKS IF NEEDED -.-)
1. Get Holo Launcher From Market
2.Go SMS Pro and the Go SMS ICS Theme.
3.The Picture of the SMS icon (blue) to change the ugly green one it puts (holo launcher lets you change their picks) (pic download ALL the way in the bottom)
4. ice cream sandwich keyboard (brings instructions)
5. exDialer ICS theme
6. ICS live wallpaper
Intructions
1 in home screen on bottom you should see the call pic, contact pics and messaging pics. Long tap hold them and delete them NOT THE APP DRAWER. Then drag the sms ap and put where the old one was and grab the exdialer calling app and put where it goes and drag the contact that came with the exdialer and put where contacts used to go. now log tap them again and change the messaging pic with he one i gave you (should put where your pics go so easier to find) and change it to that. no for exdialer contact long tap and change icon for holo launcher icon pack and choose the contact icon holo launcher brang and put the calling icon holo launcher brang for dial... (note also apply themes in exdialer and go sms pro of ICS you should have downloaded.
2. apply live wallpaper and then hide it from your apps you csn also click the app drawer and hit "menu" on your phone and choose hide apps andhide the apps you have like the dial and messaging icons costumized when yourin home screen.
3. set ICS keyboard as your preffered one. (brings instructions)
DONE!
I know im not good.... but if i helped you please tell me also tell me what i can improve on.. thanks :good:

Try uninstalling the themes and reinstalling
Faced the same problem and did it ,got resolved.

The alternative is to use The theme v3 day, then use Swift installer, change apps to black amoled, and the rest of the tweaks in Swift installer too- like use material theme and even transparency of the pull down notif.

Didn't use one handed mode yet
The browser also has modes to hide status bar which actually helps us use the entire screen for browsing?

Yes. It's just that the whole idea of one uinis to move important elements to he button. And I don't know but I think the address bar is very important and almost out of reach even for my big hands.
I can't get notifications on this launcher
