Hello @all,
tonight I am going to publish my first Pandahome Theme.
I tried to let it look like Windows 7, I hope I had success
This theme took me 3 days. Many pixelwork
Well, here is a list of some Features:
-Windows 7 Wallpaper
-Windows 7 transparent Taskbar
-Windows Logo Orb placed on tastbar, shiny when pressed
-Windows 7 icons for Android Apps
-Background of drawer is transparent with blue-turquoise colors
-Clock has been replaced with a blue one, with windows shiny logo in the middle
-Delete handle replaced with a recycle bin, which is empty until you put an app onto it, then it becomes full
-The ugly orange app selection has been replaced with the transparent blue of WIndows 7(doesn't work with widgets, its not pandahomes business)
-XML-file changed to use png instead of jpg for background and drawer
Just unzip and copy apt file on your sd-card, then add and apply it in pandahome.
I tested this on my Galaxy with IK4 Firmware and 1.8? Beta Pandahome.
Works very smooth and stable on me.
PS: Theme doesnt look so ugly like the screenshots, its because of the sdk.
It would be cool if someone could help me with the digital clock in the upper right. I'm trying to move it to the bottom right, like windows, but i couldnt do it so far.
Have fun!
EDIT: There is a "gedrückt" on the second picture, it means "pressed".It's there because I posted this Theme in a german forum before.
I dont have photoshop, but i need to have a see through or opaque picture to use as my lockscreen background. can anyone help me, or even make a quick one? with a grey background if its opaque.
BUMP! come on people someone must have photoshop, this would only take 5 minutes.
doesn't the one from the other thread work?....
http://www.mediafire.com/imageview.php?quickkey=idhtmtuqyrm
..... Then have a play with DroidExplorer?... apparently it can do the ADB stuff for you......
EDIT..... Droid Explorer - 0.8.6.0 [06/19/2010] - Conan O'Brian Edition
Why someone with photoshop. It's just as doable with Gimp, a totally free image editor.
i dont have an image editor, slash i didnt know that. And its not the actual lock screen or anything i need.
i downloaded lockbot and you can use your own image as the background, so if i got a transparent one then i would have a transparent lockscreen..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=707599
i modified the file from Cronos 1.7.1 so i'm not sure it will work for villainrom...
if you do want to try it ... do a nandroid or bart backup before you PUSH the file onto /system/framework folder
i think i tried that one before, but i'm not sure, i'll give it a shot.
it says verification failed?
If your looking to set an image as a lockscreen background its not as easy as having a transparent image. Android does not treat it as if it is transparent.
Hoping someone can work out a fix soon though.
oh i see. well thats helpful thanks. Also when trying to flash all these zips that people are putting together for me, when i try to flash them i get an error "verification failed"!!

There was a Vanilla ROM with transparent locksscreen. I think it even was SuperHero and I remember it coz people did not like transparent lockscreens. It made screen look messy. Also some other vanilla ROMs have semi transparent lockscreens - it shows only wallppaper, not all icons and widgets - which I found very cool, especially if you like live wallpapers. I want to make it work on sense ROMs, don't know how so

Here's what I did. Extract to where you want, unmount and mount sdcard to make the phone read it again. Then use whatever launcher you are using (launcher pro in my case) to change icons. In launcher pro, you long-press on the icon on the dock that you want to change, pick change icon, custom icon, then choose from gallery and all your icons should show up.
Hope that helps.
Oh and brtny, I'm showing off your work over in the Eris forums. They like it.

Instructions are at the top of this post, and apply to all .zip files here. But just so you don't have to go through the trouble of scrolling up... After downloading the .zip file, go into your file manager (I prefer Linda File Manager found in the Market), locate the file and extract it... this will automatically move the .pngs to your gallery. Install to the DESKTOP of any home screen using Folder Organizer (also found in the Market) and choose "pick from gallery" when prompted. For use as DOCK icons with LauncherPro or ADW: install by longpressing on your dock, choose "apply shortcut" and choose your preferred application. Then select "choose custom icon", and finally select "pick from gallery" when prompted. The folder containing the icons will be there waiting for you. From there, scroll thru the .pngs and pick the one you want to place on your screen. Easy as sex. I mean pie.
helllooooo all. im totally a newb! question. is this a tron theme with seperate icons? or is this just a wallpaper with separate icons? please help. Im loovin the look. thanks

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you... I haven't checked my post in a long time, and now I'm under a different username, but to answer your question: this is not a theme or a wallpaper. Just icon packs. Hope you like.
Tech Bar
Decided to make a custom theme for WidgetLocker, since I love futuristic tech looks, this theme is dedicated to "Steel Blue" CM7, as I created it to go with that techy theme.
Hope you all like it, spent a good few hours on this designing/aligning etc.
I'm not sure if it will look good all phone sizes, since I made it just for my own HTC HD2 (480x800), the screenshot doesn't look anyway near as good when you look directly from the phone imo.
P.s. this theme is intended to be used with a dark wallpaper
Screeni (boo-hoo can't use img tags since I'm new):
img526.imageshack.us/img526/2710/shot000002.png
- Attached a small preview img to post
- To install, obviously have WidgetLocker installed
- Move .zip folder to "data\com.teslacoilsw.widgetlocker\themes\"
I had some messages asking where to get wallpaper, it is a live wallpaper called "mystic halo"
Hi everybody!
First of all, I am using Buzz Launcher, which means that my "themes" are made following specific parameters such as the grid size, no labels, etc.
But I think that other launchers allow you to customize your appearence as well.
My phone resolution is 854*480.
I had a 720p one but had to send it back, so for now I can't work on that resolution anymore.
So for those having higher resolutions, well I don't know what the result would be on your screens. Except for wallpapers, I guess icons would be displayed well.
Before sharing my files, I'd like to show you what I've done so far and get your opinion: if you like it or not, what I could/should change, etc.
This to get a nice final result.
And obviously I won't and never will sell those resources because:
- I'm using some stuff such as photographs from other persons
- Some icons are directly made from other icons you can find on the Play Store or Google Image
- I'm here to share
To be edited later (once I have posted 10 messages and can freely post direct links):
I. Icons only
II. Backgrounds only
III. Themes: icons + backgrounds
I. ICONS
II. BACKGROUNDS
III. THEMES
Hey!
One of my nicest try so far: a panda theme! (I love pandas)
The panda is partially made from an iPhone game icon named Land-a-panda (see the attached pictures).
Those icons are for HD displays (720p): 144x144. Work fine on lower resolutions.
And I've "made" a few backgrounds too, giving quite a cool result when used with those icons.
Also, because it's quite boring to always have the same face, I just added 2 other kinds of eyes (see Viber and Video Player icons).
What do you think? Worth sharing them?
Any idea welcome
Let's keep up the monologue.
Seems not be be very interesting. Whatever, I'm sharing my work anyway.
Let's begin with the icons:
192 icons (64 app with 3 different kinds of pandas), pretty high quality: 144x144. See the sample below.
And if you are wondering: yes, it took me ages to save each file.
I'll share the Photoshop template once I can post direct links (man that's some weird annoying policy!), so that you can create your own icons without having to wait for updates (as I may not update this theme anyway).
If you give it a try, please share some photos/screenshots
ZIP file size: 3.62Mb
Note: if you find the icons resolution too high (say you want a 96px² size), you can use a (free) software such as ImRe to massively convert the whole folder. It perfectly and quickly does the job.
Laterz
Hey oi!
New icons, "copied" from a screenshot I saw somewhere (I think it's called themer, it's new and not compatible with all phones (not my X720D).
So here we go, 3 samples and the template file (PSD, Photoshop CS5).
The PSD is made as follow:
- A folder with the white pictures representing the icons (that's the part you really need to work on if you want to make your own icons)
- The icon's shadow (layer)
- The icon's color (layer), locked to the edit mode (you pick your color, use the brush tool and paint: it will paint ONLY the visible pixels).
Theme 5: Japanology (again)
The principle of this theme is simple: the background is the main deal, then there just needs to add the app and choose a transparent PNG to make them invisible.
Main problem with that theme: icons cannot be replaced, which means you must always keep the same applications on your screen.
edit: well it seems that uploading pictures isn't working at the moment. My PC or the servers, I don't know. I'l try to re-upload later if it keeps showing a 404.
Hum there seems to be a problem with uploading pictures from the forum. Even after having edited my post 2 times.
Hoho but I found a way to post links without having 10 posts: quotation (I hope you won't mind)
Click on each picture to enlarge it. See the above post for more information about how to use that "theme" (Buzz Launcher); Note that you must create your own date/time/battery widget (as in the screenshot below).
