Spacemoose HC ROM freezing 15 to 20 secs after boot . Nothing I have done has fixed it. Anyone ever had this issue with any ROM?

Its an alpha, so i doubt you are going to get much support.

Ok, I've been trying to flash the stable release of CM. My phone will get to the HTC logo and not move off of it to save it's own life. (it's come close to flying through a wall or three). I've used Rom manager to flash it, I've used just putting the zip on my sd card. notta. Any ideas what could be doing this? I'm running CM 6.1 RC right now.
why dont you try another rom like aosp or something...give it a try...if it boots then try CM again
did you find a way to do it?
Well I got asop on there, went to flash cm and the same crap happened again, getting stuck on the htc logo. I think I'm going to just re flash asop and see how I like it. Gonna miss cm though.

Rom manager gets stuck upon opening. The loading wheel at the bottom just keeps spinning. This happened after I updated my kernal (to a dj05 safe one) following the radio upgrade to dj05.

Try fix permissions from cwr.
Did this, still loading... Can't view roms...

Try clearing cache in rom manager (menu key) happens to me a lot for some reason?

Everyone seems to have occasional issues with rom manager. I usually just reboot the phone if it's being really temperamental.

Tried many things at this point, changed roms and kernal because all of a sudden I can get into that menu even though its is still loading. Might just have to deal with it till a new version comes out...

Have cappy1897 with ICS 4.0.4 cyanogenmod 9 nightly. Haven't done any nightlys. Worked fine for about a month then started to randomly reboot. Everything else works. What can I do to fix this?! Will I have to flash the kernal again.

Have you done any sort of overclocking recently? I don't know that I've ever ran a cm9 rom but given that you have run it for a month without problems then it just started I have to assume it's something that you've changed yourself. Typically on roms that I've used and tried to overclock sometimes it will run smoothly for a while and then start rebooting at random and sometimes it will start rebooting immediately after the change.
Thanks for the response. Actually my husband and I have IDENTICAL phones. I do the flashing and keep them running. He is 83 and just wants ti olay smile. It is his phone eith the problem. I asked him if he installed anything or made any changes and he said no. When I read him you response he said he thinks he ovetclocked his phone. He is checking it out noe. Thanks a bunch I'm sure it is something he has done.

I have been running CyanogenMod 9.0.0 stable on my i897 for 1 1/2 months with no problems. I tried CM 9.1.1 stable, but the menu popped up randomly and the phone vibrated while it was laying untouched. So, I went back to CM 9.0.0.
I've been running CM 10.1 on my 7310 for a couple of months - it's slow, but it does the job.
Today it started misbehaving more than usual, so I rebooted. It's spent the afternoon rebooting itself about once every five minutes - freeze and hard reboot (Samsung splash screen). I tried different versions of CM and AOKP to figure out if it was hardware or software, no change.
I wiped it and flashed CM 9 nightlies a couple of hours ago, and got the same behaviour. After some googling I found aLogrec and turned it on. As soon as it boots and tries to start recording the logcat, it hard reboots. I figure the onboard flash storage is borked - is there anything I can do? I can't even get it to boot into Recovery, it just loops forever.
I'm hoping someone out there can give me some ideas before I go out and spend on a Nexus 7..
Have you tried to see what happens if you install official ICS with Odin?

I can't even get into the tab to do anything at this point.

You could see if odin still recognize it and fish a stock rom. But by the sound of it I think you're sol.

Odin recognised it and has flashed the right ICS official, but it just sits on a glowing Samsung logo.
Odp: [Q] Is my Tab dead?
I will wipe all data/cache from recovery and see if that works, but I'm not so experienced and you should wait for someone with proper knowledge to give you advice But you just might give it a try
First thing I tried, but thanks for the suggestion

I just applied the Honeycomb 3.2 shipped image using Odin and it seems to be working. Going to attempt to reapply CWM and flash an ICS build now..
Glad to hear it worked out for you.

It's been stable on the CM10.1 M2 build all day. I don't know why the official 4.0.4 firmware didn't work, but I'm glad I tried 3.2 before giving up.
Thanks again to everyone who offered suggestions.

Be a ninja and paste the link to the rom you used. I've borked my upgrade too. I can get in to loki for oden to send the rom, just need the rom that will work with oden.
Thanks,
R

I flashed the 4.0.4 from here and it didn't work, so I tried the 3.2 and restored it to shipped state using Odin. After that I rooted and reinstalled CWM with Odin, and then flashed the CM 10.1 M2 build from the Development forum here the usual way (copy to SDcard, reboot recovery).
Good. I should have mentioned you have to start with gingerbread. Could have saved you a step.

I've been running on stock CM10.1 since it was released. But, then, I wanted to try Semaphore. Alas, every time I flash it, after less then 3-4 hours, my SGS starts rebooting. I've tried it on like 10 or 12 different nightlies, starting from January. Any idea what's causing this? Any suggestions?
My specs are: SGS i9000, iNand version, CM10.1 latest nightly.
I must mention that i've even tried leaving Semaphore untouched after flashing, as in not changing any of the default settings. Sill, the same.
I hope you guys can help me out here. Thanks a lot!
I had same Problem only a full wipe solved it . Internal and external SD completly wiped.

Do a full wipe and cache and dalvik try then if not check semaphore settings with manager maybe some weird overclock settings
Already did full wipes w/ fresh install of CM10.1
As for Sema manager, I never did any OC on it.
Maybe your using the wrong kernel version check if your using the right one. S or no s version?

I used the non-S version, that's the one for CM10.1, isn't it?
This is bugging the hell outta me. I've tried 11 nightlies, including the M2 CM10.1. All the same, after no more than a few hours, the random rebooting starts.
Any other ideas?
@PB I've been experiencing the exact same issue with Semaphore for months.
I'm on a different variant (Vibrant), but the outcome is the same.
At this point, I've sort of given up & am chalking it up to something in the kernel (bigmem?) is incompatible with my particular device (kind of like how some phones can OC & remain stable while others of the exact same model cannot).
Did you ever figure out how to get it to play nice on yours? :fingers-crossed:
