Anyone able to get this to work?

I am unable to find the required folder on my nook.
Assuming you are rooted, how are you trying to find the folder?

Using Root Explorer I am unable to find the proper folder for this hack.
I can find it no problem on Phiremod 5.1 installed to internal.
What ROM are you running, and is it internal or external?
Where do you struggle (can you see any of the folders)?

As my sig says I am running 0.6.8 NookieFroyo on SD. I don't want to write to the eMMC so I can boot stock or a custom ROM.
I can see the folders but there is no init.d folder in the etc folder. Do you think I can just add it?
Sorry man, I don't see your sig via Tapatalk...
Just adding an init.d folder won't help, unless your system has something looking for it. I'm not sure how the SD roms are built, so you may want to try and contact the dev...

If you just want the boost and don't mind paying then you can always search for "sd card booster" on market
-SU/BusyBox/Misc Tools/Utilities for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1
-Compiled from CyanogenMod's, CM7 repo for Harmony, and use the supplied update-script as a base
-Statically compiled busybox-1.18.4 with optimisations used for gtab-2632, via CodeSourcery’s 2009q1-203
-VI/VIM/HTOP/SSH/DropBear/BASH, etc., etc.
-set ro.secure=0 (adb root shell)

Awesome, thanks for this. Any specifications on what the "misc tools/utilities" are besides busybox and SU?
Thanks worked great! Now to get Netflix/Hulu working..

??
It flashes, boots and works fine (I've flashed multiple times).
Did you follow the instructions?
This is made for the galaxy tab IO version (altho it would probably boot on the 'v' also, provided you have a recovery which can flash test key signed images).
sweet thanks a lot been wanting sqlite3! Do you know is it possible to add python to the mix? I've been able to get the python binary working on the tab but don't know how to link up the libraries.
Ill look in to it.

Check the superuser app. Clear cache for it and ensure you are saving the state of the allowance.

Try to delete the app completly(with data for it), and reflash.
Works fine over here (ex: su state is saved and always launches and going to app shows su as saved).

All apps su are saved with no problem but when I try to run the apps again it shows no root all

Post logs if you can't get it to go after full deletion and reflash.
Just tested with autostarts.
Works fine (tested twice, each time closing the app and relaunching).
After flashing this I now have two su files. One in xbin and one on bin. Its causing issues with some apps can not get su access. Any idea how to fix?

this does not put an su file/binary in bin.
you must have had other things in prior to flashing this.
remove the su file from bin, and reflash the .zip for good measure (in case you have broken links elsewhere, etc.).
That fixed it thanks. Not sure how the other su got there just followed root instructions from other thread

when you flash this you will be rooted/have root capabilities when you return to the OS, so there is no need to do another method on top of this.

Why don't you just use the "Browse all files" section in GooManager and manually download the ROM you want?

Wouldn't work for a recovery img. Would need to use adb. I fixed it.

I was using miui for i9000 (2.3) on my telus galaxy s fascinate (t959d) for some months now. I tried to install ics cyanogenmod(most i900 stable version) with semaphore kernel (1.3.0). Everything went well. But now i cant listen to music anymore because I dont see any music in playerpro (or any other media player). When I take a photo or video it disapear from gallery after a reboot . I tried to go back to my last setup but the problem is still there.
I tried to fix permissions with both cmw and rom manager but no result.
It look like that media scanning failed to index or something like that...
Thanks for any tips
Michael

Nice to know that I'm not the only one with that damn problem.
Here are some additional information:
-I opened terminal emulator and did a LS -l on mnt and mnt/sdcard
mnt/sdcard has system as owner and sdcard_rw as group. permission are: ---rwxr-x and all files under sdcard have the same permissions.
This is very weird that system owner has no permission... it sound that the problem come from there or is that normal?
Please confirm me by testing it on a working system(phone).

Did you update rom manager? It may have added a .nomedia file to your sd card. Just delete that and it should be fine. Happened to me yesterday on cm9

Omg thanks thanks thans and THANKS again!
I deleted all .nomedia... now i see all media in my phone (maybe I should have let some but WHATEVER) but it work so I'm really happy.
I used that command to remove all file :
Code:
find . name ".nomedia" -exec rm -i {} \;
of course I used terminal emulator to do that and had super root access (su)
Thanks Again.

First note that I am on official 4.0.4 USA rom (USA model) that is stock but rooted.
Downloads from any browser won't work (chrome/stock/firefox) but I can download off say Tapatalk or within apps. So long as the link isn't to a mirror (file sharing website) it seems that is has something to do with the "downloads" app. As if it won't accept downloading through that app. Anybody else have similar problema/found a solution.
Also if somebody doesn't mind posting the downloads app (for stock 4.0.4 p7310) and see if I can delete then install to see if that works.

I once had that prob on a froyo rom on other device. Maybe the file u r dwding isnt supported by the device. I think dolphin browser can handle this bug. It has an external dwd manager.

The files are there. It's just the Download app doesn't know that they are. Use a file explorer to look in /sdcard/Download

Thank you both for replying. After flashing a rom and still not being able to download stuff I done some cleaning up I my sdcard partion. I Found a "file" called downloads.txt. After deleting the file downloads can now happen. I believe the problem is caused but how Android manages downloads. As the was no directory for downloads it was trying to download items into /sdcard/downloads. As that directory was a file (not even sure how that one happened) and not a folder it would attempt then fail.
You should change. txt to the original file extension e.g. zip
