I am sorry to announce that I will stop the development for ImPrOS. This was my very first ROM and I am now working on Wild Ginger, check Forum for alpha release. Thanks all for using and sharing your feedback.

Yeah, it's not that much themed, only status bar and framework (icons on the statusbar). But I worked hard at giving the performance a boost. OC at 768 it gives a nice smooth feeling for me.
Nice to hear you want to try it out! First boot can take up to 8-10 min!

Just installed it.... well i have to say this is quite snappy i really like how fast this is !!!! nice work the screen looks sharper :S dnno if its just my head loool
there is one thing my phone storage is 110mb free shouldnt it be more with Apps2sd

It says clearly in the first post that it's based on stock froyo.

There is NOT going to be a COMPLETE SENSE version of GINGERBREAD for the WILDFIRE until HTC release the GINGERBREAD UPDATE (the source that we need) OFFICIALLY for the WILDFIRE.

Yeah almost it's still not stable so I'm working on that, also I'm a little in a doubt, should I just hard program the function (always on) or should I program like a little setting you can switch on or off JIT?

Everyone do not flash this YET!! I forgot to add the data folder therefore not allowing installation!! Download link will WILL BE BACK UP VERY SHORTLY!! If you already flashed this just reboot to download mode and odin back to stock for now!

nice work. I'm curious.. forgive my ignorance but why is it that we can simply flash this through clockwork but cm7 and miui require an initial kernal before flashing the ROM?

My first thought as well.

dont quote me on this haha im not really sure but i think it has to do with the fact that cm7 is an official legit aosp rom while this has touchwiz? haha im not really sure.

is the gps working on this one?

I dunno about this, but afaik, the update script on CM7 is CwM 3.0 based, while ours and all the other ROMs are the older script.
So to run their script, you first have to ODIN the custom kernel with the new recovery and then flash the zips.
Here, the kernel is included in the main zip file and flashable normally...

INSTRUCTIONS FOR FLASHING:
1. Odin to stock JFD (DON'T SKIP THIS STEP!)
2. Place XXJVK_Vibrant_I9000_Port_NO_BLOATWARE.zip on your internal sdcard.
3. Boot into clockwork recovery
4. Select the zip file and flash
5. Once it is finished rebooting, wait 15 minutes before doing ANYTHING!
6. NOW REBOOT AGAIN!!! (JUST DO IT!)
7. Once you complete the setup process open the app Spare Parts (included) and set Activity/Process Management to NORMAL. This helps with the RAM issue.
8. Open Settings>Display>Animations and turn on either "some animations" or "all animations" to enable the TV shutoff animation.
9. If you want bloatware flash Bloatware.zip NOW via android screencast.
VOODOO INFO:
Supercurio's Voodoo hacked kernel is included. There are a few things to be aware of:
1. You can flash this from RFS or EXT4 (RFS seems to be the safest and most reliable)
2. Voodoo is enabled by default.
3. During the conversion process you will see the double rainbow. Don't freak out. It takes roughly 5 minutes to convert and the phone will eventually boot like normal.
4. You may or MAY NOT hear Linda's voice during the conversion. Again, do not freak out.
5. If you do hear Linda, she will most likely sound like a chipmunk. DON'T FREAK OUT!

I dont want to sound discouraging, but why does CM7 and MIUI Gingerbread ROM dont have any rainbow? cant we use CM7 Kernel(Kang's version)
coz Kernel is reason to rainbow I think.

Its Based On Edts Rainbow Roms, No Bootloader... Thats Why Its Not The Kernel

1.It's because we don't have Gingerbread bootloaders.
2. CM7 kernels don't work

I'm confused why people are reposting the EDT ROM with basically nothing changed. Users can uninstall and install app themselves. Same goes for Kernels and Modems. None of the original bugs are solved really so I'm confused why this is the second such ROM out today.
I understand it's a great learning experience but from a user standpoint it does not contribute much. I would love when the dev uses the things he/she learned from this to make something.
PS: hayn_pryde46, this is not directed at you nor is this negative. I am very glad you decided to get into the dev game and hope you will become good at it. I'm just unsure your learning experience should be posted as a complete ROM.

ALL he did was download my rom, and re-upload it with some more apps and a different modem/kernel. NOTHING MORE.

Yeah sorry most 98% files are new from xwjvb I just used the rom as base deleted all the files but their init.d tweaks added new build.prop and modem and kernel got mtp sync to work and maybe debugging and original music player remember reboot problems with whitehawks rom, in which he changed it to miui apk

Literally just came to post the exact thing. It seems to be a trend lately, to the point that it's getting ridiculous. The bugs that exist are pretty big, so how about we either work on those, or sit back and wait for other, more advanced devs to fix them before we start "porting" and call it our work.
I assume you don't have the ability to fix the existing bugs, so that alone should stop you when you go to open a thread for a new ROM that you know you don't have the ability to improve yourself.
I mean, then what? Someone is going to work really hard and eventually fix something, you're going to copy/paste it and call it an update? Just relax on these "ports" for now, they're not needed at this stage of 2.3.3 for the Vibrant.

so you DIDN'T tweak it as it says in your post. You give me NO credit even though you downloaded my rom (which has at least some BIG differences to whitehawks) and just replaced the files that determine the build number added a different kernel/modem and pass it off as your COMPLETE own work. Mine at least fixes some bugs his old rom had (battery drainage, made 3D gaming less sucky). Like cmon dude.

It took us many time to get AOSP gb and froyo to work (4 months or more ! ) and now somebody is compiling it and giving as as his own - that in not fair ! Pebe , u shouldn't realise the soruce ... I was about to share mine - but if something like that happens, I wouldn't !

i dont think the soft mods are a problem
starting to become a dev is good for the community and maybe it makes some ROMs even better if there are people who can't/ don't want to/ don't have time to mod the ROM like they wanna have it.

Android market is missing. When I try to add an account the phone makes soft restart (from the bootanimation) - Except these two "bugs" i like this rom. Thanks

If this ROM complettely builded from sources, then we have a new one best ever developer for LG Swift, I'm not joke
But if not from sources - then ... this ROM can not be better than we alredy have.
Still do not understand why people trying to make individual port (donations?).
Would be better if all devs make one or two (2.2.x and 2.3.x) powerfull fullfeatured ROMs. All of existing ROM's has the same problem, try to solve it.
In other case you stuck on that problems too and can not move forward and that "new" ROM just stay as one more clone forom some other.
Any way, good luck, hope that you can make something new and usefull for swift users.

That lines did not respectly for CM7 devs team.
DSPManager and CRT Animation added by default in all CM7 builds by CM7 devs but not by you

can i just ask if he made a copy of your ROMs then would the overclocking and screen shot not work then because in both of you rom they do so if this was a clone then they would work. im so confused lol

i think you should use the same animation that "Eye-Candy" uses, personally i think these look very nice in a rom.

hello guys.i m trying to flash a new rom on my p500..so i was searching for the best rom (from the views of battery,performance and ram management)..i saw a lot of options and to be honest i got comfused..does anyone of you tried a rom which worked without problems?i mean in camera,speaker or anywhere else!
i mostly look for cyanogen..which i saw has already ice cream version for my mobile...thanks for your time!any answer is welcomed!
preferably if it could let me decide which apps will be on startup and which not,and if it could support adobe flash,it could be great,but these are minor problems...

I'm using gingersnap v1.3 is the best for me for now........

where do i see the bugs of that rom?i ve searched but it wasnt easy to find them..or a screenshot and perhaps the specs(this phone is really slow,so it needs a light and useful rom...)

If I got 1 dollar every time I posted this, I would be rich lol.
If you want to find the best rom for your device, flash the ones available and chose the one that suits you the best
