toggle mobile data on/off - LG Optimus 2x

i used to have a widget on my htc hero that could turn on/off mobile data network aswell as wlan, gps and so on, think it was called power manager.
But after i migrated to the lg optimus 2x, no such option is available, even tho it appears to be the same widget as on my old phone.
I tryed searching for this but could not find anything useful, so i ask you guys if you heard of anything that could enable/disable mobile data network.
I would love to get the option in the status bar next to the current toggles (wlan, gps, rotation and so on), but a widget would suffice.

Cyanogen rom has the options to toggle all that.
For stock rom check in the market place for APNON widget

As a widget I use widgetsoid and would recommend it. You can customise what is on it and also the look to a certain extent. Been good for me

my first post was a bit unclear..
The other toggles i list in my first posts are already in the drop-down status menu, the one im missing is the mobile data network toggle.
i´ll check the widgetsoid, thanks for the hint!

Or try "Elixier", lots of toggle functions.

Try quick settings

I would recommend Widgetsoid.
Elixir is good in function, but it uses a lot of power. My battery drained twice as fast with Elixir compared to Widgetsoid..

Widget for turning off location awareness? (in addition to GPS)

(caveat: this is for Sprint Hero)
Does anyone know of a widget that will turn off ALL location based settings? Obviously there's the builtin widget from HTC for GPS.. but heres what I mean - follow this into the settings..
Settings>Location
There's checkboxes in here for
-Wireless Networks
-Location Setting
-GPS
The builtin widget only turns off the GPS checkbox. I want to turn on/off all three of these settings at once, or even via separate widgets is acceptable.
I can't seem to find anything that will allow me to do this. Anyone know of anything?
Just trying to turn off anything I can to help conserve battery. I'm not a big location-based user so I can live without these features. If I want mapping or location stuff I want to be able to turn all of it on/off without menu diving.
Can't wait for Seidio or whomever to release a big battery for this phone. I can't get a full day, presumably because of things keeping radios/connections alive.

Switch between 2g and 3g

Is there an app or something that allows me to switch between 2g and 3g networks? I have a widget which takes me directly to the settings but I would love an app that I could use instead. Especially something that could for instance switch automatically on location change using something like locale or Settings Profile.
I am rooted if that helps.
Thanks
Needn´t app.On screen dial you type *#*#4636#*#*,and switch it in there

right on, but isn't there a "beautiful" widget or something similar that simply toggles between the two?
here is one i use
2G-3G OnOff
Thanks for the replies, but it's not quite what I am looking for. I already use the widget ghostrida suggests, but really I want a way to either change it directly from the home screen or even better a way to change it using locale or something similar so when I get home and am on WiFi, the phone will automatically switch to 2g networks saving my battery - especially as I have poor 3g reception at home.
Thanks

I dont believe it is allowed any longer in the android sdk due to security issues. I could be wrong though I know a lot of the settings where moved to a secured section.
What you could do is create a contact with the number mentioned above and add it to your homescreen as a widget. If you want to get really in depth with it, you could add a picture of something that would signify edge for you (i.e. a 2g icon or something) and it would show up like that on your homescreen.
Setting it as a contact doesn't work, ive tried that before.
closest solution is an app in the market known as phone info
I use an app c alled switch network type 2g/3g it's not quite what you're looking for, but instead of being a widget it shows up in the notification bar only when you drag it down. it doesn't automatically change it for you, but it also doesn't take up a spot on your homescreen and it's available anywhere the notification bar shows up.

Functional Hotspot Toggle???Using Tasker???

Has anyone found a hotspot toggle that works reliably? Neither Power Toggles nor Widgetsoid are able to turn it on, seemingly because the phone needs to verify the service. They can turn it off ok. It is one of the little annoyances that seem to really bother me. Once in a while I saw it turn on successfully but usually I have to go into settings.
I like Power Toggles design and features but I'd jump ship for this toggle. I'd prefer a widget that allowed multiple toggles on a bar style set up, but a stand alone widget could work

try by this apps.

Thanks for the recommendation.
Tried it, but it doesn't work as I hoped. It is primarily a shortcut to the settings menu. I am seeking a one touch hotspot widget, like Power Toggles and Widgetsoid were on my last Android phones. With previous phones I could have a switch that turned hotspot on and off without entering settings; I rarely used the setting menu, as I should be able to access the most frequent things like brightness, hotspot, and sound without going into the menus.
Since NO play store toggles seem to work I turned to Tasker. I've been using Tasker on and off since it came out. Usually for simple tasks like this toggle. However I cannot get Tasker to do it either. The toggle seems to work to switch the setting but the authorization delay before the phone turns it on seems to mess it up.
Any ideas?
+1 would luv a solution.

If you're rooted, you can get the stock touchwiz hotspot toggle back (that should be in with the quick toggles on the notification pane) with a little digging.
This is the thread I went to to get the mobile data toggle back, but the same works for the hotspot toggle:

Basically you need to get sqlite and use it to modify values in your settings.db file. Follow his instructions, but instead of adding MobileData; add WiFiHotspot; (case sensitive and don't forget the semicolon)

That's buggy as well. It works great for data and the other toggles work great as well, just not the hotspot. That's probably why AT&T disabled the toggle from original firmware. The toggle was actually there when I only flashed the AP file from the firmware, but disappeared after the other files were flashed.

power control widget

One thing I miss from my Nexus (running KitKat) is the power control widget that, among other features, was able to toggle the location setting without having to actually go to the setting page and select one of the three. The location symbol would toggle between fully highlighted (GPS on) half-highlighted (battery saving) or not highlighted (location off). Same with NFC -- you could turn it on or off without having to go to the relevant settings page. Is there such a widget for the Z3c, or does it have to be rooted to be able to bypass the settings page? I currently use the Power Toggles app, but its NFC and location toggles (and other controls) simply open a settings page instead of actually toggling anything.

Thanks to Google it has to be rooted to bypass the settings page. I have tested Power Toggles on a rooted Z2 and it works flawless.
I'm only waiting for Android L to make things worse over here...

Question Quick settings data toggle???

I just got my mother a pixel 7 for her birthday. She's just messaged me asking how to turn on data - as far as we can see there's no quick settings toggle, not even if you go into the extra tiles with the edit button. I've looked on google/xda/youtube and can't find anything. How do you turn data on and off from the quick settings, without going into the settings app and toggling it there?
You have internet tile in quick settings, it manages wifi and data both. In alternative, if you want the old style separated button, there are some ways but i think that they needs root. One way is AOSP mod for example.
