I am trying to flash the factory RUU so I can get the 4.3 update. The RUU kept failing, I was getting an error. Something to the effect of FAILED 12 signature verify fail. Well in an effort to figure this out I tried different roms and locking and unlocking my bootloader. Now the problem is I am stuck in a bootloop. I can boot into TWRP, but when I try to sideload a rom it says failed. If I try to factory reset it fails. I don't know how to get out of the problem I'm having.
EDIT: I am out of the bootloop, but I am still unable to run the Ruu. Feel free to delete this post and I will create a new one.
so my nexus 6 was rooted i unrooted it and tried to update the security update and it gives me and error saying my phone is corrupted. Is there any way to fix this?
Removing root isn't enough. You have to be completely stock. That means no custom kernels, no TWRP, and no modifications to the system partition of any kind.
If your root was systemless, removing root may not have restored the stock boot.img. A modified boot.img would prevent security updates from installing.
i didn't do anything to my phone after i rooted it. will wiping the whole phone work?
I don't believe wiping will work, but try it anyway. In the likely event it doesn't work, connect your N6 to your computer, download the latest ROM image from Google, and flash it using fastboot.

I tried updating my phone to v3.0 from v2.5 but failed, saying "flash failed", on the k3 note lenovo.
I used the manufacturers software to update, but it gave me that error, flash failed, doing that rom update.
It detected my device, but failed to update.
I restored it to it's original from rootjunkys videos. Unbricking the device.
Need help.
Wanna pimp my phone, but wanna update it first.

This morning I received the notification about the OTA update on my phone (new build: NPW26.7, software channel reteu), that is unlocked and rooted.
The problem is that the update fails everytime, even after I flashed the stock system image.
I tried also installing the OTA with adb-sideload, but it fails and the output is:

I was wondering: is it possible that the update fails even if the system is stock, just because the bootloader is unlocked? Basing on my past experience, it should work anyway.
Or maybe I'm just receiving the wrong package? The OTA filename is Blur_Version.26.51.2.payton.retail.en.US.
Any ideas?
Ok, the issue was that, having rooted the phone, all the partitions - somehow - changed. In fact, taking a look at the logcat, it gave that "kDownloadStateInitializationError" after comparing the hash for the actual and expected partitions.
So I had to reflash all of them (partition, bootloader, modem, bluetooth, dsp, logo, boot, system, system_b and oem) to get it working.
Tried updating the S8 to latest firmware and it failed. I am not stuck in a boot loop where attempting to get back into download mode results with
"An error has occurred while updating the device software"
I can't seem to do anything else. Does anyone know of a way to recover from this or am I SOL?

First you can try is wiping cache through stock recovery, and try to boot, if this doesn't solve it, you must need to factory reset (your data will be gone), try to boot, if this doesn't fix it, then flash the last firmware you had previously the failed update. Also, if you don't want to lose your data, you can try only the first step, and if this doesn't fix it, flash the latest firmware that was working previously to the failed update, and untick the userdata partition in Odin.
Ok, so it looks like I am back up and running. I did not realize that although I had this error, Odin was still able to communicate with the tablet. Thus I flashed the latest firmware again and now I am back up and running. Lost everything, but didn't have anything important, and what was semi-important, already had on the SD. I am at least happy I don't have an expensive paperweight.
