Hi
My external sd not detected immediately following reboot, is this normal for o2x? It s usually recognised after a few minutes of using the phone.
Ive tried both stock and blazingdragon rom, same effect.
Is this my sd card problem? Is this O2x rom design limitations?
Is there any way to force scan/mount external sd immediately?
Thanks in advance

I have a problem with my scandisk 4gb sd card
Every time the phone access the card, like when downloading, watching a pic, browsing through file browser ect. It afterwards fail to read the card, and says "no files" until I reboot. In other words, the card can only be accessed one time pr boot
I've tried to reformat the card fat32 32kilobyte without any changes.
Any ideas whats wrong?

Have you tried to simply remove it from the slot and insert it again?
You can also try the app "SD Speed Increase" and set the cache to 4096kb (allowing the program to set it at the startup) and see if the card goes better...
I think that this problem appears when two or more programs try to access the SD or the phone requests information too fast. Is there a way (i speak to the developers) to reduce the accesses to the SD?
Yes, unmount/mount is as good as reboot.
I've just tried the app and it makes no difference :-(
The card works just fine on the computer, and I've tried the card in 3 phones and doesn't work on either of them. Its there different micro sdcards where only one type works on the phone?

Additional info.
With the sd speed app, the card is available a bit longer, it's now possible to download or delete two files before the error occurs.
I've tested the card in a 2.1 stock ROM and it works perfectly

It also work just fine on 2.2 stock rom
I formatted both internal and external cards and flashed a clean rom because the sd cards were full of crap and clutter but now when i try to use a file explorer it says '''SD CARD UNMOUNTED OR NOT PRESENT'''
I know its off formating the internal but what will make it recognise it again?

Every other time I boot
I have this exactly every other time I boot. Always need to reboot twice in order to keep my SD Card working. No joke - had the same issue with two different cards.
the way i fixed it was to clear the data/cach in the manage applications on the es file manager or what ever file manager ur using

Hello!
I have a stock LG Optimus 4x HD, never rooted or tweeked in any way. Yesterday I inserted an external micro SD card inside (8GB from SanDisk, 4).
The problem is that when the card is inserted various processes crash: messaging, mms, phone etc. After removing the sd card and rebooting, the phone works normally. Inserting the sd card again processes start to crash.
Anyone knows how to fix this?
PS the microSD card was in a htc hd2 before. I have formatted it in FAT32 before inserting into th optimus.

Do you insert the SD Card while the phone is turned on?
Maybe you have to reformat the Card before putting it into the phone... Or you have to do a factory reset with your 4X...
Because I have two 8GB SanDisk SD Cards, too and they're both working great, i never had such problems. :sly:

Dismount, erase and mount the card with the phone. It should format the card as it should be.

Hi, I'm having this issue with my I9000.
Any JB with different kernels makes the internal SD eventually be unmounted in my I9000.
When install a JB ROM the phone works very well but suddenly, the internal SD (phone's SD) is always unmounted with every reboot.
In CWM both SD are mounted and read without any problem. With ICS ROMs the phone works flawlessly.
In my case, the external SD is functioning as expected.(I have a 32 GB micro sd)
The installation language is Spahish - Spain.
No matter which method of cleaning and wiping I use, the result is the same.
Also, starting from GB stock firmware (JVU) flashed with Odin, followed by installing the nightly Cianogen CM10.1 and finally flashing the desired JB ROM works.
I tested Helly Bean, Slim Bean, C-ROM Mix and Baked Blacjbean7 obtaining the same behaviour.
USB Mounting does not "see" the internal SD. After many tries connecting and disconnecting of the PC, the internal SD is eventually mounted.
If I start the phone in "safe mode" (long pressing in menu reboot option), the internal SD is mounting.
Important: I'm restoring around 54 apk using Titanium backup (games, applications and utilities) in every case. I did not tested the ROMs without these restorations. ¿Could be an applications that is causing this issue?
I read some post with very similar situations but without any response.
¿Any idea on what is going on or a recommendation?
Thanks for helping and answering.
Being more precise, the internal storage that is not recognized is the USB storage, not the Internal Storage. Remember that the Galaxy S 8 Gb of internal SD is divided into Internal Storage and USB storage.
A quick way to test if your phone is reading USB storage is using any File Manager to see if SDCARD is opening.
AW: [Q] I9000 Internal SD unmounts when using JB ROMs
Can you please open /storage/sdcard0/ and tell if you have the same issues there? Because it could be a symlink problem.

Found something.
I have a 32 Gb external micro SD. If I turn on the phone without the micro SD in place, the USB storage mount OK.
I think that the JB ROMs o perhaps JB Kernels around cannot handle BIGs micro SD ¿a bug?, maybe.
I never have had problems with my micro SD even more, ICS ROMs flash and work OK with it installed.
Has someone a 32 Gb uSD to test?
Phone with 4Gb uSD works without problems.
32 Gb uSD is perfectly identified by a PC and no error is detected.
Phone with 32 Gb uSD shows the problem again....
Ok. The problem was a corrupted clockworkmod folder/files con the external SD. Reformating the SD solve the problem.
Thanks for your help.
Best Regards.
