From samsung Italy facebook page:
Samsung Italy on their Facebook page has confirmed tentative release dates for Android 2.3.3 update for devices like original Galaxy Tab, Galaxy Ace and Super LCD-toting Galaxy SL. According to it, Galaxy Tab users can expect the Gingerbread OS update to be released by end of July whereas Ace and Galaxy SL users can expect the OS bump by end of September.
The release schedule above applies to unbranded devices. Operator-branded Tab, Ace and Galaxy SL could take more time.

What do you think is the meaning of this?
Probably an update to get rid of the rooting exploit like they did in the singapore rom...
A german news to this(computerbase.de).
They write that samsung didnt say why the gingerbread 2.3.3 was stopped. They think samsung italy are working on Gingerbread 2.3.4. Release will be end of july.
As long we have gingerbread 2.3.3 on the tab, i dont need 2.3.4. I love samsung if they are working on a Honeycomb rom.

I've got an Austrian Galaxy S and I want to update the firmware to an UNBRANDED version of the Korean SHW-M110S Froyo 2.2.
But I cannot find it anywhere. According to the "AnyCall SHW-M110S" thread it was released on October 15th.
Does an unbranded version of Froyo 2.2 for SHW-M110S even exist ?
The reason why I want to flash the Korean firmware onto my European phone is because I desperately need the RECORD CALL option.
Someone please help! Thanks

There are apps in the android market that can do call recording as well but I have the Shw-m110s Korean Galaxy S and there is not yet a froyo update out for it.
BUT，I think, Korean firmware can't fit for your phone. m110s is not i9000, m110s just be used in Korea。Are you sure that you want Korean firmware ?
Australia recently upgraded andriod2.3 news P1000, and the U.S. has a similar message, do not know how long it will officially release 2.3rom, hope to upgrade the P1000 with 2.3 can improve the early development of 3.0!
Hey guys I format my PC today since it was almost 2 years so wanted to refresh it. after i installed everything including the windows updates and all the softwares i use i installed Samsumg Kies as the last. But to my surprise Kies said that i had an update that PDA:JP7 PHONE:JP3 CSC JP7(TTT).
When i did google searching it showed me all Galaxy S I9000 threads not one Galaxy tab post. So my Question is, Is this correct??? or is Kies gone crazy... I will attach a screen shot here which will show you the details.

Since you have a north american tab, this update should fit your bill.

I have successfully updated to gingerbread from kies and what i can say is that i dont think its different from the earlier version i got from samfirmware which i flashed from ODIN. but had to revert back to Froyo to finish NOVA (white screen with sound on Gingerbread) which i was almost at the last level of the game. As you all know Gingerbread is a lot faster than Froyo. Take care guys and thanks for all your replies, I am Loving it' HEHE!!!

I have the 'almost' the same situation, but When it starts to upgrade, the status bar says: Connection has been los with GT-P1000N... ALL THE TIME.. (starts a endless loop doing that)

i recently bought a Samsung galaxy tab 7 (wifi only model) and i live in saudi arabia.
my firmware version is 2.2 and build number is FROYO.JPKC4.
I heard there is an update available for galaxytab to gingerbread os! (2.3) but is it only for tab users with gsm+wifi+3g users?? (gt p1000)??
can i update to gingerbread 2.3??

No you can't upgrade to gingerbread because it's a different hardware.

Hey guys! So I'm completely new at this and I was wondering if you guys could help me out a bit. I have a Samsung Galaxy Mini SGH-T449Y and I wanted to upgrade to the latest android version. Currently I have a android version 2.2.2 and I tried to upgrade it through Samsung Kies but it said I had the latest *official* upgrade. I've looked in the threads but most of it seems like its for Galaxy mini Pop users. Is there a version specific for sgh-t449Y or do the upgrades work for every kind of galaxy mini?

First of all, galaxy mini = galaxy pop. They are the same. Next, just go to a thread that teaches you how to flash to 2.3.x. You have to do it via Odin not Kies. And the upgrades work for all, although it's recommended that u upgrade to the firmware for your country/area.
