Hey,
I got the Following problem. I cant install after market .APK the Screen pops open but i cant press install only Cancel on the buttons.
The apps from the google market work just fine.
I have CM7 version 54
I think the solution is disable Screen Filter
I have the same problem.
after installing the last cm7 I can't install apk where I must press 'Install' button, only 'Cancel' button.
Autoupdate and apk from market are fine.
Anybody can provide a solution?
Thanks

I am trying to install the new Google Voice Search app, but I keep getting "install unsuccessful" on Bifs 1.5 Froyo ROM. I'd like to download the apk from the market, pull it to my computer then try installing from ADB, thats worked in the past.
So does anyone know the temp location that the apk downloads to?
There seems to be some issue with signatures on the APK. A workaround is here.
can someone PLEASE help me with launcherpro!?
I tried installing through the market and i can download the install files but it won't install.
I tried downloading the .apk and when i install it i cannot seem to find the icon to open launcherpro and now it seems to be "installed" on my phone and i cannot uninstall it!
Press the home button and you'll get the option of using launcher pro or the default launcher
Ok I followed GabrialDestruir guide and it went off with out a hitch.. Much thanks.
My question is I have some apk files I want to install when I try to install them they say that install is blocked (how do I get around this)
and when I try and plug my NC via usb I done see the system folder to be albe to place them in the app directory
1. Uncheck the install non-market apps box in "nookcolor tools", recheck it, try again.
1a. Same as above, reboot.
or
2. Install Astro file manager from market. Goto menu/tools/apps manager in Astro.
or
3. Install Appinstaller from market, try that.
You should be more specific in your thread subject btw.
I tried to install my first apk with different file managers, but when I tried to install it with help of Root Explorer without remounting to rw, it installed my apk.
Now I can install my apk files directly from download list of my browser.
thanks guys... for some reason just had to uncheck it and recheck it and it works fine now
A couple suggestions if you haven't done so already. Download ADW launcher or Launcher Pro. And to switch between home screens to test which one is better get "Home Switcher" from market. (it will let you revert to B&N home screen easily)
And "Quick Boot" in the market does wonders for a quick restart instead of messing with that weird power button.

recently i tried to instal some apk files using astro or es, the file open up as normal until when i try to click on the instal button, it didn't react but the cancel button does, i had quite a number of apk files saved in my sdscard which worked previously but now none of them works. i looked into application setting for the box to checked to allow installation from unknown source checked but still the same. just upgraded to 2.3.5, hope this not the reason.
I'm not sure why they won't install but let me say this: about 3/4 of the apks available on the Pirate Bay are malicious.
Anything else weird going on with the phone?
Can you successfully uninstall an application?
i find wierd too, btw, those apks are not pirated, some are download from this forum which i had kept very long for future when i change phone like circular battery, simi folders when they are posted here long time ago which not yet out in the market at that time. of course now i dont need them anymore but just for testing purposes. i tried uninstal these few and instal back using the apk thru esfile and astro but no veil, help needed, tks...
i suspect that the system had disable the instal button whereas the cancel still works, dont what had cause it
Im using the latest JoyOS 1.2.2 posted in the development section. It does not have native BLN support. I copied the required files from an unofficial CM build and got BLN working. But the Soft Keys do not light up on touch. I also have a problem with Play Store. The Play Store opens. i can even browse all apps. I can select Install. But, when i select Accept & Download, it just closes and returns to the home screen. No FC. It just quits. I've flashed the same gapps that i use for every other ROM wherein it worked fine. Any ideas why Play Store doesn't work and soft key lights do not come on touch? Does it require any dependent files that is missing in the ROM? Any help is appreciated..
