[GUIDE][SPLASH1] How-To Custom Splash1 - HTC Aria Themes and Apps

The HeroC forums has a great guide for creating and replacing splash1. This requires S-OFF (yeah alpharev!) and a few updates to file names and file contents for Aria.
1. Aria's Zipfile is: LIBEIMG.zip (Hero's is HERCIMG.zip)
2. Aria' android-info.txt (in the zip) has the following contents:
Code:
modelid: PB9220000
cidnum: HTC__622
mainver: 1.35.708.4
hbootpreupdate:3
DelCache: 0
DelUserData:0
HeroC Guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=765429
Attached is an example LIBEIMG.zip files from ladios' question thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=825606)
My hopes are that this will lead to some unique splash screens shared here!

or you can fastboot it
fastboot flash splash1 splashimage.rgb565
just make sure the splash image is in the same directory as fastboot
or if u have linux just stick fastboot in /bin

The HeroC Guide covers both methods. I just wanted to capture Aria specific information here. I'm sticking with fastboot!

I like the fastboot method too.

i like the LIBEIMG.zip way better than tooling with fastboot. seems easier for me to do.
also providing IMG.zip with Nexus splash

thnxz. love the new splash screen..

Stupid question, but is the splash screen backed up/restored with a nandroid? Would like to try playing with a few splash screens but would like to return to a known entity (stock) if I do not like any of the others.

It's in the RUU as splash1.nb0. I can get it to you if you don't have the rom.zip from the RUU.

Is 320x480 the appropriate size for the Aria? My images don't seem to occupy the whole screen.

Trinity Splash Screen Collection

I've started this thread so if Admin's made this one sticky we can all collect home-made Trinity Splash Screens here..
Please follow this guide if you want to create your own splash and post only compressed (ZIP or RAR) RUU_signed.nbh file and the screenshots (in JPG format)
Flashing Splash Screens is very fast and harmless as no data will be erased from ROM.
Here is my first "Trinity" splash screen! I called it "The Real Trinity"

If you have a SuperCid device then no problems, just copy the file you downloaded into your RomUpdateUtilty folder and run the program.
Otherwise you will need SSPL-TRIN.exe to SuperCid your device temporarily.
Follow this thread for SSPL-TRIN: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=293632

What is your bootloader?
It has no problems with the Olipro's one, or try with SSPL-TRIN...

Are you saying that in order to change the splash screen i have to flash my Trinity "ex novo" again?
Is there a way to install the splash screen without reflash the whole (but modified) rom?

Don't worry flashing splash screens does NOT erase any phone data (os, your personal files etc.)
It will ONLY change the splash screens!
I missed somethig...
I followed these steps:
-opened official new ita rom with WINRAR and extracted all in a new folder;
-renamed the .nbh file in .bak;
-extracted commodore.zip and inserted the file(.nbh) in the new folder;
-ran SSPL from device as usually;
-ran update utility (.exe) from the folder and flashed the device ONLY with the new splash screen (about 5 seconds to get 100%).
The splash screen worked well, but when it booted i noticed i had lost all my settings and my installations, so i had to spend an hour to set them once again.
Have i done something wrong? Sure, but what? I'd like to try some other splash screen, but i don't want to waste my time...

A splash screen is a screen that opens while something else is loaded that helps the user verify that they did in fact initiate an action (booting, opening photoshop, etc) like the grey Apple screen on a Mac or the Windows logo when you boot a PC. On your phone, the splash is the Androids on skateboards screen. You'd see it if you rebooted your phone.

[BOOT ANIMATION + BOOT SPLASH] Blackboard Bootscreen/Splash

Here's my first bootanimation and splash screen.
You can get my file here. (Sorry for let you wait. I couldn't upload my file on here.)
HOW-TO (BOOTANIMATION - bootanimation.zip) (KR_KT RUU ROM USER):
I don't know where other users should put it, But if you're Korean-KT version user,
use Root explorer to replace '/system/customize/resource/KT_bootanimation.zip' with my file. (CASE-SENSITIVE! You should rename it exactly same as original one.)
And change permission to rw-r--r--. (User:Read+Write, Group:Read, Others:Read)
HOW-TO (BOOTSPLASH - splash.bmp):
Connect DHD to your PC.
Run Android Flasher and check 'Splash'.
Click Begin and select my file.
You can get Android Flasher here.
(Thanks to developer of Android Flasher )
I hope you like it

[Splash Screen] Incredible S AOSP 4.1/4.2 - S-OFF

Hi all,
I made myself a new start-up splashscreen to celebrate the evermore stable Android 4.1 AOSP ROMs which are coming through at the moment, and I thought I’d share it with you.
Then I made a slight adjustment in anticipation of the imminent 4.2 release.
And then, as I had the graphics to hand, I made them into a wallpaper in case anyone would like it.
For those who believe that the HTC Incredible S now has a new lease of life with Jelly Bean, these are for you...
The Splash Screens look like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
INSTRUCTIONS – S-OFF ONLY (sorry S-ON users!)
You must unzip the attached folders – they are not flashable in recovery! - the Splash Screen and wallpapers are in here too.
Get just the 'splash1.img' file from within the attached .zip and place it in your adb/fastboot tools folder on your PC (google it if you don’t know what this means.).
Then go to CMD prompt on your PC and set CD to the tools folder.
Connect your phone to your PC via USB.
Set your phone in ‘USB bootloader’ mode, then type in at CMD prompt on your PC:
Code:
fastboot flash splash1 splash1.img
Wait for the confirmation in CMD (takes less than a second normally).
And that’s it, job done! :fingers-crossed: Reboot to see it appear before the bootanimation.
EDIT: Added realigned wallpapers so the text isn't behind the buttons - see attached 'edited' zip for all originals repositioned!
If you want to revert back to the original white HTC Splash Screen at any point, please find it also attached. Follow the exact same instructions as above to install it.
Any tweaks or requests for variations of the above images ‘may be considered’ if, a) I understand what you want, b) I am physically capable of doing it (I’m no expert!), and c) if I get time!
Please use my files as required.
In case you wondered, I'll probably not do a new bootanimation as the standard CyanogenMod animation is and doesn’t need changing!
