I just purchased a Streak 7 and went to Micro Center and purchased a 32GB class 10 full size SD card. This card will not work in the Streak 7. I had an old 16 GB micro SD card and micro SD card to full size SD card adapter by SanDisk. I believe the 16 GB micro SD card is a class 2, but it's class is not labled. The 16 GB micro SD card works great. What is the Max size SD card that can be added to the Streak 7? Where do I find the specs for the Streak 7? Thanks, David
The streak 7 supports up to 32 GB SD cards. I'm using a Transcend SDHC 32 GB in mine.
Thanks Chamberc,
I went back to Micro Center and returned their house brand SD card and purchased a Patriot Memory brand 32GB class 10 SD card and it worked great in the Dell Streak 7. Thanks for your information. I was then armed with needed information to try other 32 GB cards and the next one I tried worked great. Thanks. David
Class 10 cards in the 32GB size have had numerous issues, it's hit and miss because many were manufactured when 32GB was the density limit and they failed to sell.
A good way is to look at the reviews on Newegg that pertain to using them in different cameras. If there are a lot of issues across several models, it isn't worth the risk.

Hi,
I've just received my TyTn II and am interested in getting a memory card for it.
It takes Micro SD but what is the max size that it/WM6 will work with?
Also, what is Micro SDHC? and can I use it?
I've seen a 2GB MicroSD card for £7.55 del. but I probably want a bigger card.
I intend using it for tomtom - photos - some games and apps and of course data file storage.
TIA
Bryan
I picked up a SanDisk 8GB via Amazon for under $70 USD (minus shipping).
http://www.amazon.com/Sandisk-Micro...1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1204123335&sr=8-1
I have a San Disk 8gig in mine and it's great.
Cheers, Paul
Thanks for the quick replies,
As you are using 8GB cards they must be MicroSDHC? AFAIK MicroSD cards that hold 4GB or greater are all MicroSDHC.
Any chance you can pop your card and see?
The 8Gb SanDisk that I ordered is MicroSDHC (a.k.a. 2.0).
The HC stands for High Capacity and it is indeed for cards above 4 GB.
The device for the memory card has to be HC capable and lucky for us, our Kaiser is
Every micro sd card also has a class (2, 4 or 6 I believe). The higher the number, the better transfer rates (and response time), but also the bigger the cost.
I currently have a 6 GB (class 4) micro SD card. I'm going to wait a while to buy a new one until cards with about 16 GB or 32 GB (or something like that) of memory come around.
I'm also running the sandisk 8gb SDHC card. Its speedy and
works flawlessly. I got it on amazon for about 80 USD
The only thing i could recommend after having a card this big
is a good card exporting program on your phone so not
limited by activesync
Thanks for the help.
The 2GB MicroSD card at £7.55 seems very good value but I'll wait for an 8GB MicroSDHC deal to come along.
Hopefully a faster variant too..
Is it possible to connect the phone to a PC and have it recognised as a large memory stick? I know some phones do and then you can just explore them like a disc drive.
I will setup activesync at home for normal installation etc. but wondered if I could access the SD card whilst in phone from the PC/USB a la memory stick whilst at work.
yes, you can access the SD card like it's a memory stick by exploring. However, the transfer rate isn't as good as a USB connection with a stick. The 8GB SanDisk comes with a USB reader so that the card can actually be used in the reader just like a stick. Fastest transfer rate I've ever gotten with my phone
I'm using an 8Gb SanDisk MicroSDHC.
Works great!
I have a 8gb and it is fine.. but if you wait until next month you can pick up a 12gb and really have some storage space.
'im using a sandisk 6GB MicroSDHC for about 50canadian$

Talk about a deal i just purchased two 8gb for $70 because they were used and only came with one adapter.
I got my 8 gb sandisk sdhc card on ebay - another place to look for a great deal. Just be careful about the track record of the seller. I love the 8 gb card, but will be looking for a 16 gb card when they come out.
i saw the 16GB ones out anyone tried if it will work with the kaiser???
I run a Kingston 8GB SDHC in mine without problems (brought it over from my SDHC enabled Orbit), which I bought for £25 about 8 months ago from mobymemory. Never had any problems with it at all.
Does Anyone Know If It Can Take A 12 GB Micro SDHC If So Theres One Here For £35
http://www.flash-memory.co.uk/products/1031/sandisk-8gb-micro-sd-sdhc-card.htm

i have an 8gb and its the max i guess so far.
it will be available a 16gb in summer, i guess its still in lab
8 gb i c as well. Yeah, it will support up to 32 GB, but that wont be until next year. Plus, there is no way i need more than 8 GB. ..... Maybe 16 at MAX
It says 8gb then later says 6 gb, wonder what it really is?

i have transcend 16gb class 6, with GR5 and HP RC9 it's fine here. have you guys already trade up for your sd card?
I have transcend class 10 16GB on CM7.1 no problem yet.
I had problem with class 4 card. I think 6 is a minimum, no problem since.
Hello, I use verbatim 16gb ( class 10 ) is very good but price is not good
Hey guys.
Recently I purchased a ADATA 16gb micro SD class 10 ($16 on e-bay) to replace the 4gb class 4 that came with my phone. Since I already have an 32gb iPod Touch for music and games, I really don't need more space on my phone.
I've made a benchmark, to compare the speed difference between the phone's internal memory, 4gb class 4 mSD and the 16gb class 10 mSD.
Here are the results (click to enlarge):
- Internal memory (plugged into USB):
- ADATA mSD, trough USB card reader:
- ADATA mSD, trough phone:
- Stock 4gb mSD trough USB card reader:
Regards y'all!
eeeh, is it connectable with phoen in any way? There about hundreds of microsd card models... in benchmarc i recommend making it 2-3 times.

I performed it 3x, and it gave me very similar results.
Thanks
Was always curious about this
I have the stock microSD card that came with the Nexus One (4gb class 2) and I am looking to replace it with a higher capacity and higher class microSD card.
I am looking at a 16gb class 10 microSD card for this purpose. Will this be compatible with the Nexus One?
AFAIK class 10 cards are SDHC cards. Does Nexus One recognize SDHC cards?
I have read some compatibility issues with a 32gb class 10 card, but not 16gb class 10 card.
Also, I will be partitioning 4gb with EXT4 file system (for mount2sd reverse mount) and the rest FAT32 for normal use. Will class 10 card work with both these file formats and will mount2sd work?
Or would a class 6 card be better for speed and compatibility?
Thanks for helping.

The class 10 MicroSD cards are all SDHC category cards. That's what I meant.
Anyways, thanks for your help. I will get the 16GB class 10.

The HC in microSDHC, miniSDHC, SDHC, only means that the card has a high capacity (4 - 32 GB). According to the official manual, the Nexus One should support microSD cards up to 32 GB.
I have a SanDisk 32 GB microSD class 10 in my Nexus One and it has been doing great for quite some time! Runs smooth and with no hassles. I don't see why you would have any issues with a 16 GB.
using samsung brand
Hi
bought the fastest class 10 (samsung brand) 16gb with the highest writing rate I could find, and using the latest 4.2.2 rom it is faster than the stock version. simply amazing.
invest in good speed. it's worth every penny
