[Q] SGH-T849 Latin Rom

Hi, I have to take the chance to thank all the xda developers and forum users that have helped me with the hints and tutorials. I had never have to ask because all my questions where already answered in the forum but now I have a specific case where I have a SGH-T849 Tmobil tablet and need to install the latin P1000N rom. In case anyone wonder why it is because in the country I am the voice and 3g works perfect with this rom and with the current rom the max I've got is edge + voice.
So the question is .... Can I flash the P1000N stock rom in a SHG T849? If not and some one has the info I would like to know why.
Thanks again.
I used to have tmobile tab and i flashed p1000 roms from the samfirmware without any problems.
You will have to flash tmobile radio after you are done rom flashing.
if you want to be extra careful, dont flash the bootloaders.
Still dont blame me in case you brick it.
You can't flash a "N" rom unless that's your model. They are not compatible.
You won't get 3g on a t-mobile tab unless you're on a t-mobile network (1700/2100 bands). The rom can't change that.
thanks rangercaptain..... little bit late or better said too soon I have tried, I bricked it :-( no download mode no boot only lights the buttons...

[Q] Flash gsm rom to cdma verizon tab 7

ok..so I see that there are very few options when it comes to roms on the cdma tabs. I've seen the question asked a few times on here with no real answer.
This is the one definate answer I have found:
Flashing a gsm modem on a cdma tab will brick the device. I believe the same when it comes to kernals.
So on to the question...
Can I flash the overcome rom to cdma tab? If so HOW??
That rom with the blue steel theme gives me a chubby just looking at it
No, you cannot flash a gsm rom to a cdma tab. The kernel will brick your tab (soft brick if you're lucky)

[Q] Roms for SGH-I987

Hello All!
I am working with a SGH-I987 (ATT) for bluetooth related application development. Unfortunately 2.2 is being a bit of a bear to deal with. I was looking on the forum and found quit a few roms are available for gsm tabs. Could someone steer me to the roms that will support the SGH-I987?
I was looking at CyanogenMod9, but am not sure if my tabs will support it.
Thanks in advance!
If this is your first rom on a tab Id suggest starting with Overcome. A full guide is available too.
Enjoy!

some rom ready?
Hello,
I want to upgrade my att tab, yo ICS or GB (actually froyo).
You know where can i get a full guide and rom?
(i have that unlocked, rooted and with the phone option)
Thanks
everything you read here will work for your tab.
P1000 is the euro generic version, yours is AT&T model that has different radio/modem hardware to suite AT&T network.
Just take note of what baseband you are on (Setting - Phone -About)
After flashing CM9 following the whole overcome restock, overcome kernel 4.0, then CWM flash etc... you then need to find the same modem (search in dev there is modem thread), unzip it and extract just the modem.bin and paste it to /radio/modem.bin
disclaimer is: of course I can't tell you if your tab can then make calls and have 3G. that might be AT&T limitation.. others may know more.

Old ATT SGH-i957 flash with P7300 Rom

Is there any way to flash a SGH-i957 with the rom from a P7300 or any other series ROM? The SIM tray was broken and its being used as a WiFi only device right now. From what I can see there are some subtle differences in how the ROMs work but wanted to check with the community before I did anything stupid.
Thanks in advance!
