[Q] Cyanogenmod LG Widgets

Hi,
I'm trying to get some of my LG Widgets work under CM 7, but it doesn't work.
I placed them in /system/app/ but they aren't showing up in the Widget Picker and therefore I can't place them on my Homescreen.
Any idea what to do?

But that's based on official LG v20M Gingerbread 2.3.4, isn't it? So I guess, he didn't had problems porting them.

How did you do that if i may ask ?
I've been looking for the weather/clock home widgets in particular for CM9. I've placed the apk in system/app and set permissions, and they do show up in the widget picker. The problem I have is that only the 2x2 weather widget is working, I receive 'error loading widget' when i place either the 4x2 or 4x3 widgets on my homesreen.
If anyone's still interested with this, you might wanna try Go Weather. Works like a charm.

i only know from a working LG keyboard under CM7!
it is need the transplant.
Tried Go weahter. Nice but not the same, LG UI" weather/clock looks much nicer
there is a go skin lg styla but widget of lg ui is better.

[Q] Unread messages widget in lockscreen

Hi guys, I would like to know if there is a way to add a widget in the lockscreen that displays the number of unread messages, and leads to them if clicked.
I mean something like on sgs2/3 stock rom (i don't remember if ace's stock had such a feature).
Thank you I'm advance.
PS: I'm on Apocalypse Rom, as my sig suggests!

I found a valid substitute in SMS Popup app, and i suggest this one to everybody: light and fully functional!

Try GO locker...it displays the number of unread messages and has shortcuts to it...and plenty of other shortcuts too...

Search play store for an app called "widget locker". It is a lockscreen replacement that allows you to design your own lockscreen, adding widgets, sliders etc. then just add one of the widgets suggested above.
let me know if this helped

Isnt the "GO" series generally known for high usage of cpu?
I have only tried GO locker when it was on beta, but not as a daily lockscreen...
Well, it doesn't no difference to my phone...performance and battery life still the same...

Buddy dont use any type of launcher except holo launcher as it saves battery next thing if u want widget for messages go to playstore hit widgets and messeging widget on lockscreen....... Or any lockscreen widget.........well enjoy buddy!!!!!!!!!
Instead of using such widgets i solved my problems with SMS pop-up app (as i wrote before). Very easy and more fast even than widgets!

Sometime, many lockscreen is not support add widget. You can download and install "Widget lockscree" from Playstore.

Well, first you must import the skin (open uccw, menu "Open import manage skins",
"Manage skins" select sense 5 2.0 skin.uzip
open menu/settings/location/ Auto location (be sure gps is on)
for the weather only are two Providers: "Yahoo" or "OpenWeatherMAp"

I'm having the same problem. GPS is on. I switch between the two weather providers and it keeps thinking I'm in new York (I'm in LA). I even switch from auto to manual location, but all that does is changed the name of the city displayed. the weather itself is still being reported for new York.
Any thoughts? I love this widget and hope I can still use it
HTC ONE Widget
Hi, this has been working well until now updating ok. However on this weather update the icon seems to be too large. Any ideas please?
Update: Have found the issue. There is no 'drizzle' or 'slight drizzle' in the Sense 5 icon folder so it imports them from another folder which are too large. Have re-sized them and all is ok.This is for an HTC one V

Guide
Firstly you need a few apps to do this they are-
-Widget Locker(is a paid app on the play store)
-uccw(you can find from play store)
- my backup file (find here: http://t.co/ttGe5Kl6) (this is a backup file only and not widget locker)
clock jb+(don't need if you are on jellybean!)(again a paid app)
Steps:
1. extract the contents of the folder Ubuntu(from the backup zip) on to the root of our SD card
2.after you have installed all these apps open widget locker >settings>
And click on backups&restores and then restore my backup.
3.after doing this go to advanced settings of widget Locker and disable root helper setting.
4.then enable widget locker
5.your lock screen would be like Ubuntu
6.then for the lockscreen clock, long press on empty part of lockscreen and select widgets and add the clock jb+ widget app that you downloaded.......place it where you want to.
7. there would be a widget in the center of the lockscreen saying 'touch to recover widget', delete that one!
8. voila you have an Ubuntu lockscreen!
The widget you deleted was for showing you your unread messages,...... I will add that part later on some time.As you might have guessed this guide was written in very less time so aloha by then

Every single time I install WidgetLocker Lockscreen I lose multi-touch privileges... I mean that when you hold a button on the screen then tap anywhere on the screen while still holding down the button gets depressed and the screen goes unresponsive for 2 seconds. It always happens in Super Hexagon, and happens after about 30 minutes of having it installed. I went to dev options and checked "Show pointer location" and when I am moving around the homescreen, when I am scrolling then I tap the screen while still scrolling, the lines reset and start again :crying:
It's a shame because I REALLY LOVE this lockscreen theme, and the app. It's an app I always recommend to everyone. Any alternatives OP?
