[Q] Pinch to Zoom broken???

Is pinch to zoom broken on the latest cyanogenmod nightlies???? I tried using fitsnugly's nightly and tried a nightly posted by zyonee and still to no avail... is there some setting in the cyanogenmod settings or other to enable it??

If you read through fitsnugly's thread, you would realize it is an issue with CM. The problem doesn't seem to occur on the official nightly #87.

Technically he would be downgrading, as he is running a newer version that was compiled by fitsnugly from the CyanogenMod sources.
Hopefully fit will reverse whatever commit caused this (if he even knows) or the CM team will fix it on their end before he builds a new one (and before the CM team puts out #88).

7.1.0 stable = nightly #143 IIRC, so it's just older version of CM7..just go with latest nightly. You can read changes from changelog.

No I haven't noticed any problems so far..but I have used this only for 1 day so it's too early to say anything certain..

Nightly is the latest and greatest cutting edge from CM, but is also more prone to more bugs. Stable is better for new CM users, or for those that "heavily rely" on their CM phones as their main or only phones...

You could ask about them on the official CM7 thread. I would suggest flashing the latest Nightly, however.

There are certain problems that are known and have yet to be fixed with CM7. Developers are continuously updating it though—and that is what the Nightlies are (a new build released every night). If your problems are known issues, it may be awhile before you see a fix. But there may be simple solutions to fix whatever problems you're having.

The only applications you should have trouble getting to work are the Samsung ones. The reason they don't work is because they are dependent on Samsung's framework, which obviously isn't found in CM7.
Every other application, if supported by your phone, should work just fine.

Not always, I've had a few nightly builds go wrong but isn't hard to make a nandroid backup. If in doubt use a stable build, I personally like the latest work from the CM7 team

That is nothing new with CM and AOSP builds. They have know app compatibility issues. Some apps just will not work like Screenshot it. It will work on every custom rom except for CM and any rom built off of it/

Hello folks, i just saw that cyanogenmod.com released a new nightly for our p990, it is the nightly #216.
(maybe cm bot is active again?)

2 mistakes...?

i downloade this #216 yesterday only to run into the status 7 error during install. im still going to put 216 on but just once i upgrade recovery to 5.0.2.7 from 5.0.2.0 -hopefully that fixs my problem :S

Cm7 development (release of nightlies) was stopped months ago,
but yesterday a new nightly was released.
This thread was started to tell everyone to check out the official cyanogenmod website because i think many people stopped visiting it, checking for updates.

Why everyone uses the buggy CM7 rom base ?

Hello all,
I have tried EVERY SINGLE ROM on my mini galaxy for the past 4 months.
They only stable rom I found without unwanted FC is the Minimod X final.
It is so hard to find a stable non-stock rom these day while everyone ports the CM7/9 rom and changes it in some way.
Have you thought about that the CM7/9 rom is not STABLE enough to build on it ?
I wish there will be other updated stable roms that does NOT based on the buggy CM7/9 roms

CM9 is in beta stage, not only for our device, but as an OS in general so no question about that. as for CM7, hmmm, it may be buggy for you but not for all. kittenlinux build's and mebitek's builds are pretty stable for me. Also, that is the essence of development, resolve all unwanted bugs.

Thanks for your reply Kitrax. When I'm talking about instability, I mean a FC few times a week in a moderate use of the phone.When you say pretty stable, Can you use the build for a week without a FC ? The only one that stood up to this to me is the Minimod X final......

Yeah, I can use these ROMs without FC for a week. Well, that would depend on the apps that are force closing on your phone.

have you tried MORe rom? it's stable for me...
and about cm7, I think that's because it isn't the final release...

I just installed the latest kittenlinux rom, Since kitrax said that it worked quite stable for him (I saw that meibtek's rom has still some gps problem which was fixed in kittenlinux's rom).
I hope that this rom with the latest full Gapps will work as stable as i expect a rom to work.

Andro-id 3.3.1? ?i am usin it pretty stable...i have tired on cm7...stock as based it will be more simple. Make ur phone more light....Free on it

Go andro-id forum u can register and find galaxy mini section like xda but thwy are using idonesian languege (i know some indonasiq language)

Of course! It's still on the beta stage!
I think the baseband version you are using do some different effect.
Some baseband isn't good to some custom ROM.

i've been using the CM 7.2 RC1 since yesterday and it is stable up to now.
I've installed all my programs (premotedroid, Circle battery wodget, Extreme alarm clock, 3g watchdog), And up to now it didnt gave me any FC.
Hope it'll keep working stable. Will let you know whats up.

I've tried the official CM 7.2 that came out few weeks ago, But didn't found it stable.

Strange, I was using a lot of roms too, and I experienced bugs and fc's only on few of them... maybe You just expecting too much from this little device, especially when you get a lot of fc's even on stock rom...

it is simple....read all comments in rom thread,and if u find a single word said buggy...dont even flash it,better stay what u r on....peace

Cm7 more powerful than stock...
Afaik, cm7.2 by mebitek/kittenlinux was stable! Never gave me fC
I like the rom that I can play with, so I'm back to cyanmobile

Why apologize, your impression is correct. Although most nightlys I have found to be as stable as there previous release candidates.

No apology needed I didn't mean to offend you, I was just pointing out that just because its an RC it doesn't make it anymore stable than the nightlys in fact the last stable release was last years 7.1.0.1

I guess if you look at it from that perspective, no software is truly stable, there's always some bugs.

I was experience with battery charging, but it stuck on 20%. how can i solve this problem?
HTC Customer Service suggest me to use phone under safe mode 24 - 48 hours non stop. they said , there are conflict Application between third-party application and HTC Application.
but i'm not sure about it, can anyone help me how to solve the problem?

i think this rom have a baterry charging problem, i charge for 3hours +
back when im still on nighlies, my charging time takes only 1 hour and 30 min
