hey guys.
on my Evo I always used and was very happy with Clockr Evolution. Now I downloaded Clockr from the market and even the biggest font size seems too small. the default launcher doesn't let you stretch the widget. I tried with launcherproplus and the widget stretches, but the words stay the same size.
the other clock I like is TypoClock, but i'm also running into the same situation. not big enough.
what clock are you guys using? I like either big numbers or words, so either Clockr or TypoClock style....
anything you can recommend? thanks!
I use beautiful widgets, with the 4x3 superclock for tablets. But I aso use ADW EX instead of the stock launcher for widget resizing
edit: accidental double post
I use Launcher Pro and the stock clock with Clockr underneath and it looks nice

Does anyone know of a clock widget that is or can be made to look like the clock that is on the Froyo lock screen?
Free would be nice, but not required. I really like the font for the lockscreen clock.
Also, Im running cm6 stable.
i imagine beautiful widgets would have at least one skin matching your criteria. the skin i'm using atm looks fairly similar to the lock clock . See my post here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=728911 for an example (and the background/weather/blue can be removed).

One More Clock (Collection) by Xaffron Software does it well. 4x2 size is free but you can "donate" to get different sizes or if you can resize it with LauncherPro (recommended app) if you have it. Just do "One More Clock" in the market.
ClockWidget by Skipper Juul Thors0 is another, but just the time, no date.
The font is called "Clockopia".
I tried BeautifulWidgets, not free, and although they have the font, they have a lot that I have no need for (yet) so I'm getting a refund (for now).
Tried MIUI but spacing and fonts looked funky. Would prefer something free that will display properly on my rooted NC.
I like Simi Clock a lot...free and customizable, displays well
I have to give my vote to SimiClock as well. Looks great and has a ton of options.

I personally like Palmary Weather a lot, and its widget doesn't have a clock, so I stopped using Beautiful Widgets and use Palmary and Simi. Looks pretty nice.
What's the difference between the Superclock widget and the Beautiful Home Weather Widget?
When I try to place the Beautiful Home Weather widget on my homescreen, it just takes me back to the Beautiful Widgets settings page. Any help?
You have to set it up and then save and apply...

Is there a difference between the Beautiful Home widget and the Super Clock widget?
I've used Beautiful Widgets on all of my phones but for some reason it doesn't format right on my Gtab....looks disproportionate compared to what it's supposed to look like...I've even tried the BW for tablet beta....
Any special trick for getting it to work?

If you have Pro Launcher, you can resize by long pressing. Are you using the Beautiful Home widget or the Superclock one? Superclock resizes more proportionately.
I looked for a list of widgets and was unable to find one. So Im starting a list here. Please post a list of widgets you're using or ones you know of that work good on the G Tab. Thanks.

Good thread idea. I'm a newb, and still looking for good widgets.
So far I'm using Fancy Widget, and Widgetsoid.
Here's a list of the widgets I'm using or have used:
Beautiful Widgets tablet beta
Fancy Widget
Elixir(has tons of widgets and info buttons available)
Weatherbug Elite
Express News
Elixir is the one I'm using at the moment for all power control options, and Beautiful Widgets Tablet for my weather widget.

Do all the Elixir buttons work? I tried the Sound toggle as well as Reboot of Widgetsiod, but neither seem to work.
I haven't tried the reboot toggle, but the sound/mute toggle works well.
Im still trying to find a good RSS widget.
Scrollable News widget is great for RSS feeds. You do need a launcher that supports scrollable widget, such as LP or ADW
I use WeatherBug on my phone and love it but it FCs on my gtab. Instead I use The Weather Channel's widget, it works well and with the largest version it shows plenty of information.
For my RSS needs I'm currently using Google Reader but am not always happy with it. I wish Reddit is fun had a widget.
I also use the stock Power widget.

Thanks, this is great! Have to add a few more home screens now just to have RSS feeds.
Scrollable News Widget is great. Here is a screen shot: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=12987479&postcount=356

That looks nice. What launcher is that? It looks very clean.

It's VT Launcher and I used the LauncherProIcons app to get the LP style icons, and bettercut to apply them. The rest is CM7 with the honeycomb status icons addition.
Widget failed to load
How many widget users have the issue of a widget failing to load after a few days, the only solution being dump the widget and reload it.
Not a big issue, just wondering if it is a launcherPro issue (my default) or a modded gtab issue. LauncherPro native widgets seem to do better.

Hi manikin13,
I havent really had issues unless Im messing around with the settings on my launcher. Im using VTL.Launcher and when i changed the dock background settings some widgets went squirrley. I would say its your launcher. Maybe uninstall and reinstall might fix it.
if anyone needs a good news widget, AtomaRSS is definitely one of the best
I'm looking for a clock widget that's minimalist and fits in with the attached homescreen.
I would use Beautiful Widgets, but I don't want the weather, as I have the Asus widget.
Any suggestions?
A Segoe WP-like font is preferred.
I would try using minimalistic text. I have my homescreen set up similar to yours and use a few of those widgets. You can customize just about everything to get it how you like.

In beautiful widgets, there is a 2*1 superclock that has no weather on it. I would either use that or minimalistic text to create your own.
