Q: google maps on cm7 - LG Optimus 2x

Hello!
I need some help, how to install google maps on Cm7, can't get off market (I'm in croatia) ...
Sent from my Optimus 2X using XDA App

Here you go:
http://goo-inside.me/gapps/
just download and flash this via CWM

I flashed it right after flashing CM7, but maps weren't installed, I'll try flashing it again ...

Use Market Enabler, then get it from the Market.

Thanks, it worked!

[Q] google maps cm7

Hey what's up? So I have cm7 on my sgs running and I'm loving it.
The only issue is that for some reason I can't download Google maps, it just doesn't show up in the market place.
Anyone has any ideas? I would love not to flash cm7 again if possible.
Thanx
Try market enabler, from the market.

Market questions

Hello guys
I have samo problems with market. I cannot download every app.
It says that this app is not supported for my country.
I know there are some market enable apps, but i didn't manage to work it.
Any other sugestion or solution?

If you are rooted try market enabler https://market.android.com/details?id=ch.racic.android.marketenabler&hl=en
There may be a better solution but I haven't found it. Market access and market enabler doesn't work well with android market 3.x.x. So here is my suggestion.
1. Freeze or delete MarketUpdater.apk from /system/app
2. Downgrade your market by uninstalling market updates or find market 2.3.6. You can find the flashable zip from my mediafire folder
3. Use market access or market enabler to fake a carrier if necessary
4. Install whatever u want from market 2.3.6
And there is no way to have it on market v3?
Earlier in htc forums they had made some markets that are open for everhthing.

Download them from the market.
They're not included in the Gapps anymore.
Did you flash CM7 then let it boot then try go back into CWM? If you do the reverse ie: flash CM7 in CWM but before booting flash gapps and see if that works.

Have you tried going to search for those apps in the google play store?
Available in Play Store..
yes.. I have tried to search it in play store but no Google Maps, I like the stock Google Maps or any variants of it that comes with the stock ROM

Search for google maps in play store and install Maps from Google Inc., this is the latest version of google maps. This version has Nav beta built in.

actually... I have Rocket ROM v10 with Maps and Nav... You might want to try flashing the ROM again without any wipes... You will need to reflash any custom kernel you are using.

Generally Custom Rom's are not equipped with the latest versions. So for Latest versions Go To Play store and download them.
There is no difference between Stock applications and the one which were downloaded from play store. the one difference could be the customization which is up to the developer. But I don't think you will find any ROM with these applications who have been customized.
And if you want an apk from a particular ROM then you can extract it and copy apk files and put it into System>app using root explorer and Set permissions as rw-r-r and reboot
OR
Use this to leech APK from ROM file
