IM notification more than once??

Greetings! I'm having a problem getting any Instant Messaging software to alert/notify me more than one time while in standby. I'm currently demo'ing PhoneAlarm and it seems to work well for repeat notification of missed calls, alarms, etc. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work for Palringo or Octrotalk alerts.
PhoneSuite didn't work either.
I'm willing to switch to different IM software (except Windows Live Messenger) or other repeat alert software. Any other solution would be great as I really like the Palringo.
Using an AT&T Tilt with the stock firmware.

I love palringo .. not sure if I understand your question.. . but here's what I tried..
I love palgringo but it never stays on.. always disconnects and hops like crazy.. but I stumbled on one freeware somewhere in this forum

its supper simple.. doesnt have cool futures like palringo but still very stable for me.. stable connection good notification !

SMS Problem!

i have a realy strange sms problem. At first: Im using this rom (Final version).
I´ve installed this rom new & make a hard reset...
Now i received a sms. All fine. (I go to Messagetab and klick on the sms on the screen. So i went to the HTC-Threaded-smsview.) Now i have the problem, that i cant see the received time. There is ONLY the date from received sms (received sms from TODAY = 04.05.09). My sended sms have a correct timestamp (Today 11:50).
That suxx realy hard, cuz i cant see a real sms conversation. Cuz of the difficult Timestamps, my sended sms are on the Top and received are on the bottom. Realy strange...
My regional Settings are "german" but with eng regional settings, i have the same problem.
I know that its normal for older sms, but its not normal for received sms from today. In WM threaded smsview i have the same problem.
I hope, that anyone can help me

yes, i did a hard reset, and i know, that not all ppl have this problem with this rom. I had it with last rom too, so i think, thats not a problem with the rom. i´ve installed the original rom and there is the same problem with threaded smsview.

omg... can be closed! choosed the right date and all is fine... SORRY!!!! -foolish xD

Upgraded from a Wizard , trying to transfer SMS

Hi guys ,
I was using a HTC Wizard ( and never thought I would upgrade , thats one wicked device ) , but stumbled upon a good deal on a HTC Diamond , so here I am .
My Wizard was running on WM 6.1 and the Diamond has got WM 6.5 .
I have a lot ( 4000+ ) SMS on my wizard , and I've been trying to get them onto my diamond , but absolutely no luck. I've tried PIMbackup and SMSbackup , both softwares take an eternity ( I guess I cant complain with 4000+ texts ) but nothing seem to happen once it is done .
I really want to get the texts transfered . Any suggestions ?

You might need to clean-up some of the texts - I am sure 4000 SMS messages will contain a lot of chaff.
It might be a laborious process - but hey. It's a solution. PIMBackup might be choking.

You could try Jeyo Mobile Companion, I don't have that much SMS..lol.....but it works great.
It's not free.

sms with arabic not showing just blocks

my samsung galaxy s is not showing the arabic sms when its send mixed with english sms ,,i mean some words are in arabic which in the sms show as blocks ooooo ,ooooo like ,,this is there any way of fixing this so that it reads the arabic ,, ive tried arabic sms reader for market but no luck

Are you using a rom that has arabic support? That may be the problem

no i am using the same rom as came with the phone origonaly ,i ve got it on orange contract .
is there any other way of seeing the arabic sms ,,cause just got them occasionally ,,just couple of sms per year ,,any oher suggestions

Sadly you need to install a rom with arabic. Its probably not worth the effort as you will likely break your phone if you don't know what you are doing just for a few sms a year.
