Threaded Call History? - HD7 General

I'm running the Mango Beta (sweeeeet!), and it doesn't seem that this was added. I don't want to see the same name over and over , billboarded if you will, on my call history. Now I have to scroll just to see the next person I talked to, simply because I talked to the other person 6 times since.
Is there a setting I'm not finding, or is it just the way it is?

I thought to be the only one with a smartphone WP7 to miss this feature ...
We hope that MS includes in the final Mango!

Me too, check the registry did not find the correct registry key to toggle to all calls. Anyone can help?
Same annoying bug here too..
Just browsed through the registry, but I couldn't seem to locate the proper key(s).

Timestamp missed calls? -Dialer

Hi guys, i love this forum! Got alot of info from here. But i have one problem:
I want to see when people called me, right now i only see that a person have called me, if i go into the Dialer menu. I cant see which time/date or a quickcheck on the today screen that i had a missing call
I have a small tab for messages, so i can see when i have incoming messages but not missed calls!
Anyone that have some good idea how to sort my problem?
/thor
If you are using the default dialer, that information is available... So which dialer are you using?
Yes, i have the default dialer (not very good tbh to be a dialer but nvm.)
/thor
That's strange, 'cause I can see time of call...
yes very strange, when i pus the icon "telephone/dialer" i can only see the name of the contact i last called or recived a call from, nothing else.
Oh, so you don't mean in the call history, do you? You mean the last calls you see when you have the keypad on your screen? In that case, you are right - no time of call there. To see that you need to open the history.
Sorry if I mislead you with my previous post.
exactly, i dont want to push some menus to see what have happend, last i checked. Cant understand why they dont have implemented that.
Time stamp issue
Is there any way to get the time stamp on the call history for previous dates? Currently I only get time stamps for today's date, while all previous days calls only have a date stamp.

If you click on a call, you will also see the time.
Yes thanks, noticed it just after I posted...
I think I'm 'Diamonded Out'. I've been at this thing for 3 days solid and I can now make it wash dishes, walk the dog, and even fly a helicopter, but I can't do the simple stuff any more!!!
I thought tapping an entry would phone it, so I was approaching it in 'menu mode' to try to get the info... tapping and holding etc etc... I need a rest from this thing;-)
Thanks for your help.

I know what you mean!
However, you're one step ahead of me - the dog has to keep bringing the Diamond back 'cos the batteries end up running flat.

Request: Any dialer program for blind person?

I got this ATT tilt one month ago. And want to set it up for one relative who is nearly blind but not deaf. So I am looking for a dialer program that can read any number key being pressed (e.g. one for 1) and repeat (pronounce) the whole number (e.g. 18006543210) when the call key is pressed. If the program can also read out the number that called in, then it will be perfect.
I guess these may not be hard for experienced programmer. Probably changing some sound files (.wav) may have this work. But I'm a newbie who know very little about programming for mobile phones.
If you know any solution, please let me know. Thanks a lot.
well...
I just did a software called DTMF Dialer, that does not do the same, but I guess I could hack it to dial the real number and say the numbers as confirmation, I am not a super duper C# coder but I think I can do it, if you are interested im me.
Microsoft Voice command is no good? One can simply call out the numbers to dial and it'll ask for confirmation.

I agree with telegraph. Ms Voice command reads out the numbers as a confirmation, it also announces who is calling when a call is comming in.
For anyone who might be interested take a look at the link below. ATT is offering a deal for Mobile Speak to assist people with visual impairments for $89. The program usually costs a LOT more, so it is a great deal. Funny that I have not been able to find information on this on ATTs site...

I do not whether this wil help- I use Sony Ericsson p990i - with it and P1 - one can dial by pressing the bluetooth button and say the contact's name of-course your sister should record it first (you must help her with that). The other positive thing is if a call comes in and it is in the contacts - then the caller/recorded name will be played back. I am also trying to help a blind guy - [email protected]

ExactCallLog v1.4 is Horriable, v1.3 is the Way!!!

Hey everybody whatz going,
ExactCallLog is a very good app or USED to be a good app. It was
Essentially a must have for the G1 cuz it completely gets rid of the
2 hours ago, 6 Hours ago crap on the orginal G1 callLog.
Anyway the Version 1.3 or more specificly v1.37....was the last update
Before the new one. It was fully working & stable. I wish I backed it up
On my SD Card using ASTRO file manager. Now its lost & I can't get it back.
The New v1.4 Update almost crashed my phone. I need the v1.3 or v1.37 Version
badly if anybody has the old version & hasent yet upgraded to the new version.
Please please please send me the ExactCallLog v1.3 or v1.37 .apk File & ill post it here
On the Forum for everybody to have. I have spoke wit the developer & he said
That the problems don't exist on his phone. So the new UI is here to stay & it
Really really sucks. V1.3's UI was ten times better.
If u don't know how to get the .apk. All u have to do is Download the File Manager
App Called "ASTRO". In the ASTRO app. They have a "Application Manager".
The "Application Manager" allows you to install or Uninstall any app but most
Importantly, it allows you to backUp whateva program u want on the SD Card as
a .apk File. That u can install wheneva u want.
Use "ASTRO" to back up the "ExactCallLog v1.37.apk" File & email it to me at:
[email protected] & ill post it up on he forum for everybody to have.
through a RapidShare link or something like that.
Thanks Again, In advance.
I hope this post will help a lot of people who have the Exact same problem
In the future.
I just wanted to say that the v1.37 is better cause the UI was perfect &
Was completely free of all bugs & was quick with no lag time.
Ill take either but v1.37 was better than v1.3
OUT!!
I know what you mean, I completely uninstalled it after 1.4 was out. It was lagging like crazy and slowing my phone. Unfortunately I don't have older versions.
-Gus
heres version 1.3.4 the apk is IN the zip hope it works for you guys
Yeah I know all of my friend who was using the New Version
Of ExactCallLog have completely uninstalled it. The developer
Just thinks its Lagging. He dosent realize that its not just slow
There's a TON of other problems wit it. He dosent experience the
Crashes on his phone. So he can't Bug Test meaning we won't get
No update soon....until he feels he wants to add something extra
Hopefully he'll read all the comments & make an update soon but he
hasnt said that he would on the email he sent me.
I Appreaciate that alot "haitiankid4lyf"
Hey this is perfect!! This is Exactly what I needed. This ExactCallLog Version 1.3.4 is perfect in everyway. I hope everyone who wants it comes to this Forum to get it. Cuz this is Really a must have app on the G1. Im soory thatthe developers like the NEW UI but for everyone who loves the Old UIwith absolutly NO BUGZ here it is.
I won't post the "ZIP" again since u already have the Zipped .APK File in the Forum post above me.
This will be used until the death of the G1 unless the CUPCAKE Update really really improves the Default Factory CALLLOG.
In the Factory Call Log. U Cant do nothing!!
*U CANT:
-Erase 1 call entry without erasing the whole List
-Veiw only the "missed calls"or "Outgoing Calls" or "Incoming Calls"
-See the exact time that people called (Only See 3, 4, 6 "Hours Ago")
-See the Day, Month or Year of old calls from 5 days ago
(ExactCallLog shows Exact Time, Day, Month, & Year Of Call)
PLUS: ExactCallLog Version 1.3.4 has a Very Very Amazing feature that allows you to erase all missed, outgoing or incoming calls that come from the same person.
Example:
Long Press on a "Missed" call (Ex: "JOHN (301) 589-3704") in ExactCallLog. When the Options MENU comes up scroll all the way down to the "REMOVE ALL INSTANCES" option & select it. It will erase all Numbers that have the Name JOHN (301) 589-3704. Very Cool. But it will only erase the missed calls from JOHN not the incomming or outgoing. unless u slect JOHN's incoming or outgoing calls specific. It can erase all incoming from John at once or all outgoing from JOHN at once.
Everyone who dosent have it Or lost it like me when they upgraded to Version 1.4
can enjoy this v1.3.4 ExactCallLog App.
Thanks Again haitiankid4lyf". This App shouldve been included wit the G1.
OUT!
But it has a problemd with the notification, when I have a missed call, the notification wont go away unless I view it in the stock call log, annoying!
-Gus
u just hit the "CLEAR NOTIFICATIONS" button on the top right corner. and avoid visit's the stock G1 CallLog. Period.
I never ever use the G1's calllog now
Yes thats true, but if you later receive another missed call, the notification will tell you that you have 2 missed calls, so it will forever keep adding up until you visit the damn thing. He should fix this in version 1.37 though, right?

True Working SMS/Call for Touch Pro?

I've tried heaps (got like 30 in my start menu), done many searches... Tired of heresay and finding out none really work. I want to easily block people off my touch pro. Anyone have a working version of anything?
Answer(credit to mtem1985): Magicall http://www.mobiion.com/magicall.html It's a great little program, can block calls/sms with auto delete, logging, notifications, etc... it can even send a message back to your harrasser like "I told you there is more fish in the sea" or just "You Are Blocked"
Pretty cool, suited my needs perfect.
Here Here! I had the mistake of giving a guy at work my cell number because he "needed a favor" thinking he needed me to work for him and just to find out he wanted to bug me and talk about absolutely nothing. EVERY SINGLE DAY! And it doesn't matter if I yell at him at work and not respond ever to his messages. He still manages to text me all the time a couple times a day! HELP SOMEONE!
Nobody knows of a working one eh?
i've used magicall in the past,
Worked great for me. give it a try
Works perfect, thanks man.
hey there~
i am fairly certain that the free call firewall has all those abilities. i use it to automatically route certain callers to vm. you can auto reply to blocked call via sms if u want. you can specify a black list for calls and sms and even add a blocked call to a reminder list!
hope that helps
~j
Here you go. Hope this helps your problems out.. Good luck
Ur welcome
I've given my phone number to some people that i shouldn't give to, so in need of a program that could solve this problem for me, i've come across this one.
back in the times when i used winmo 6.1 you could set the app to block incoming calls, and sms and it wouldn't even show an icon that something happend. the only way to know if this person tried to call you or text you, you should go into the logging area
