Hello to all!!! Here is my first addition to the Revo, and my most missed thing from my Fascinate!
What is this?
The accurate battery mod changes the intervals in which your device displays battery level. Instead of there being only 6 battery display settings, they are in 1% intervals, and displays the level in the top bar.

How do I install this?
1. Put this zip file on your external SD card (do not extract it!)
2. Reboot into Clockwork
3. Select "Install ZIP from SDCard"
4. Find the "RevoAccBatteryMod.zip" and select it. Hit install!
5. Wipe the dalvik-cache.
Your phone will take a while to boot back up after this mod, it's normal!

Technical Info
This is a mod of the framework-res.apk for the Drecrapified 1.1 rom. It changes how often the system grabs an image for the battery level, and added images for the new variables. This will only work with thecubed's Decrapified 1.1 rom, if anyone wants it for the original rom, just let me know!!!

Actually I have one request - is it possible to continue to display the battery percentage while charging, instead of the plug icon? With the LG lockscreen gone, there's no quick way to see the battery percentage while the phone is on the juice.
I think the simple "circle getting full" animation loop is enough to inform the user that the phone is on charge, and the percentage could be displayed for easy viewing. Any opinions on this?

I could look into it, but the way the coding is may be pretty difficult, and VERY time consuming. If I can find a quick and easy adjustment, I will give it a go!
But if you pay attention to it now as it charges the icons lowest gets higher and higher to give that same idea. If it is at half charge, the lowest point the icon hits is half way. Not as precise, but gives a general idea.

Agreed that you can get a rough estimate, though it also takes time - you have to wait through the animation to see the lowest point.
I'm not criticizing - just making suggestions If it's possible cool; if not, it's still way better than stock!
Wicked! Thanks man. Great work.
This thing is beautiful and functional! Well done!

First post updated to include circle battery with percent, it should work fine but I can't test it atm.
Some nice wallpapers for the theme
I saw a thread requesting this earlier today, and this is something I wanted as well. So, here ya go!
There are now update.zips for DI18(Eclair) and DK28(Froyo). There are also files to restore the clock in case something happens, or you decide you want it back
Hope you guys enjoy it.
Install these through CWM. DO NOT wipe data or anything else. This doesn't effect the framework so it won't effect any theme in any way. It may take a little longer on first boot, but don't panic.
I haven't tested the eclair mod because I'm running DK28. If you try to flash it and it doesn't work, just restore it and let me know and I'll look at it.
12-19-05
I modded the Viper data governor mod to a no clock mod for a few ppl who wanted it. I did nothing other than remove the clock so all the props goes to the Viper team.
I'm still working on a no clock and battery mod. I'll post it here as soon as I get it working. Hopefully it'll be in the next day or so.
Nice, good work man! If I remember correctly, you were working on the inverted Gmail right?

Are other icons able to move into the area where the clock is assigned to or does this just leave a blank area in its place no matter how congested the status bar gets?

How about every 1% theres an increment? ok jk, how about every 5-10% in battery life goes down, another incremement? Thanks, it really does look nicer with the icons on my gtab flashback 10
Thanks so much for this! Installed and running perfectly on Flashback 10.0!
Out of curiousity, do you know why the "shadow" behind the status bar menu has moved to the left from the edge of the screen? (See screenshot 2 in OP.) I don't believe it was like that prior to flashing this.
Also, I tried to get the battery icon swapped out to a circle type with 100 increments, and only ended up frustrated (probably because it was my first stab at it). Tried swapping XMLs, loading the PNGs to different folders, UOT Kitchen, etc. Just don't know how to make the G Tab get the new icons for all of the new increments.
works great on gtab comb 3.3! Thanks

Honeycomb doesn't support the 1% battery increments. And yes i do, it's because the screen density on the gtablet for honeycomb is 120, but usually on honeycomb it is 160. I will try to fix that.

Don't know if you've had any time or luck with this, but I wanted to share that I just reloaded Flashback 10.0 from a wiped clean tablet, and the notification "shadow" was actually not there at all. So maybe there is a way to just turn it off or remove it from the framework? I'll dig around and see if I have any luck. If you know where it is exactly and/or what it's called, let me know.
Thanks again.

Nexus 7 right?
I would say, post the SCREEN ON TIME, as well as the STAND BY TIME ... Both are important.
Also, some bits of info how did you use the device and general settings (auto-brightness, GPS on/off, WiFi? 3G?) ...
Otherwise, it won't matter ... I can have 6-7 hours screen on time on my GNex for doing nothing ...
Push this thread! We need the answers with screenshots from the ones who already got a final device! This is much better then all the reviews.

Yeah something wrong there.. that's about 1/3 of what my GNex does, and common wisdom is the battery life on that is poor.

Yours is the same constant WiFi

Yeah the Wi-Fi bar on my Nexus 4 is solid across the entire history graph as well. Now I don't remember what that's supposed to look like. I leave wifi turned on all the time, even if i'm not connected to a network. Is that why? Or does it normally only show when you're actually connected to a network?
I'm currently at 6h 5m, 68%, 50m screen on time.

You choose what you want to happen with WiFi, go into settings > WiFi > hit the three dot menu and then advanced, from there you can choose the sleep setting for WiFi, by default it is set to always on.

Having WiFi turn off when the screen is off is worst for the battery. The phone will just switch to 3G when it needs data.
Sorry op but this will not get anyone anywhere.
You need to set up rules. Screen on time can be determined by MANY, MANY factors
First of all it would be good to make a screenshot of the battery inventory. For instance
Out of 100% how much % was dedicated to the browser or what else other program
I would really reocmmend downloading gsam battery stats and making a screenshot within the app. It lists a lot of things,
I bet you this phone can do 8 hours of screen on time if not longer, how? Just leave the screen open the whole time and do nothing. So while one might get 8 hours and the other 2 - we will never know under what circumstances thus this thread being useless.
Right now we only have a screenshot of the phone's screen on time ONLY. Useless. I've experienced that telephone calls drain more battery than the screen itself or uses up to at least as much.
really? i barely used the phone. everyone is turned off except wifi and i did not even use the the browser. this can't be real. only that much time and it's almost halfway dead and i barely used it. i know there have been battery threads before but man... how can it be this horrible. btw juice defender don't do crap, i've had it for the today and yesterday, was crap so i uninstalled. had brightness are low as i can without making me squint.

I'm no expert but it looks like you may have some serious wake locks?

I've had relatively poor battery life as well... I went 12 hours with a recharge from 10 to 50% again before it completely drained...
I'm not impressed with the battery on this phone but everything else has been great.
... I'm starting to think I'll have to make my own Qi Charger for pant pockets... embed it in your pocket so whenever the phone is there it's charging. I'm seriously considering trying this to see if it's possible... if so, i'm doing it for sure. Or a carrying case with an extra battery and a Qi Charger... or a Qi charger dock for the car... you get the idea. Wireless charging shouldn't be the fix for poor battery life, but it definitely could help it.

BZZZZT! Wrong answer. Rid of it, and turn off locale/Now when you don't really need it.

Wrong.

Ahahahaha I didn't even see the task manager. Yes remove that and your battery should improve a lot. Also if you're running jellybean, you have an auto task manager.

Task managers mess around with Android's memory management and it is fairly well known that they usually end up draining more battery than they save. Try getting rid of it.
Also other people are reporting that the battery life gets better after a few days of using. Is yours really new? Im not sure how true that is btw.
Probably a combination of that task killer and a wake lock.

Install Franco's kernel. Battery life has been outstanding (1 Gmail account sync, 1 Exchange account sync, maybe 30 minutes of calls and 100+ texts a day; I have location services & Google Now enabled as well). I average 3+ hours screen on time and I normally end the day around 30% ...
I would stay away from task managers ... it's not that I know what's going on more than you or anyone else, but well established and respected kernel developers recommend against it. If these guys don't know then I honestly don't know who else does ...

just uninstalled advanced task manager to diagnose the problem, and so far it still remains, so the task manager is not that problem.

You're gonna have to be patient for results. Also reboot and fix your wake locks soon and you'll see better battery.

1. remove the task killer, you REALLY don't need it
2. Install BetterBatteryStats http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1179809
3. Go on a wakelock witch hunt.
Question: were you on the same WiFi network the whole time? Is it your home network?

Yep...20-30 minutes won't tell the tale. I'd also recommend Brightness Toggle widget...allows a few extra steps (16 total, IIRC) of brightness control over stock, to fine tune screen brightness, often another culprit.
Turn off location access!!

This couldn't have gone in the existing battery thread for what reason exactly?
Sigh! The search feature really must be too mind-blowing for some people.

How are ppl complaining about battery it's been nothing but stellar for me. running latest cm nightly this was with one hour of streaming music and one hour of GTA
Edit: I also flashed a ROM at around 80% so my battery would've been even better as reboots always drain some
