My Dell Streak Kick Stand (Vinyl soft board)
Hi folks,
I was sitting at my work waiting for a query to yield data to me(It takes half hours at least!! ).
I noticed some Vinyl soft board strips lying on the floor near me, so thought to kill my time try to make a kickstand for ma dell streak.
Things I used:
Some superglue from ma desk
Couple of soft board Pins (Not required for structural bonding but just for cosmetics)
Some waste vinyl soft board strips or similar material.
Here are the pictures:
Still have to work more on the finishing and final look, but it does the job well for me and is made from trash!!
Hope to see few more Ideas out here
Peace Out!!

very nice!

DellStreak 5 Stand-Home made
it made from the plain plastic of pvc.
and it will be the second casing of your Dell.

LOL
Like it....I eagarly await your grand creation
See if you can find someone to write a Predator type countdown app for it that really blows up, that would be cool
cant find a single rubber case at the moment, you cant tell me that no one is making something so simple
This one isn't rubber. It is silicone. But would probably work if you reinforced the back of it slightly. Someone here on the forums posted the link to it. I haven't heard anything about it really since then.
Can't post links. Search on Google for amzer silicone skin jelly case dell streak

using that amzer skin would be very dangerous i think. it barely wraps around the device. it wouldnt secure it in place at all. if that was attached via a backbrace onto your wrist the phone would simply slip out of the case.
cheers for the info tho.

Belkin Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 folio case

Just sold my Xoom so I have some extra cash and went over to best buy to find a case. This was steep at $40 but I wasn't into the kindle fire cases as they all use straps that end up blocking buttons/ports. Its not a perfect fit but it works for lack of something better.

Thanks for the pics. mine should be here shortly. Looks like it works well enough and better than the one I'm using now.
I figure when they start making decent cases for the Nexus 7, I'll cannibalize this. I'm thinking about ripping out the mount bracket thats attached to the folio part and fashioning some kind of car mount with it. Hmm..
Just arrived, wish the corners came up over the bezel just a hair further, but I turned it upside down over the bed and gave it a couple shakes, didn't go anywhere. If it had a magnet in it for a "smart" feature and the corners came up a bit more it would be excellent, as it is it's still a really nice option. Much slimmer than the navitech case I was using.

Yeah it looks like it might fall out because they don't quite get over the top of the corners, but it seems to work well.

Belkin Merge Sleeve

Been looking for something for the past few days since picking up my N7, been trying all the local markets and shops, and came across this today.
http://www.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Product_Id=533812
Have to say its a very very nice fit! The N7 fits just perfectly, quite snug in fact!
Also added bonus, the case is a sort of mesh finish, so much sturdier than the usual neoprene cases you get. The lining could do with being a little softer, but other than that its perfect!
Can't find it on CPW, but I bought it in-store for £17.99

Glad to hear it fits! I bought the Belkin Merge Sleeve, but my Nexus 7 hasn't arrived yet.
Yes, agree. Quite nice.
Have a look in TK Maxx (if you have one near you in the UK) lots of Belkin bits going cheap in mine. Got it for £5

I got this sleeve also. Works ok. I find it just a tiny bit too short, so it is quite a squeeze to get the fully closed. I read elswhere that is was a bit too big, so hoped it would make a good extra protection when a thin shell and cover (like the planned Poetic one or Incipio cases) is attached, but I cant see the N7 would fit inside this sleeve with another case attached despite how thin it is.
I have the same, I really like it, I have also a Tpu Case, the S one, on my N7 and it still works with this Sleeve, so I am happy with this combination.

My DIY Nexus 7 and Galaxy Nexus Combo Stand

This is what you get on a boring Friday night.
Parts:
DVD case
White cardboard
Whiteout
Ducktape
Glue stick
I took a spare DVD case I had lying around (bonus points cause it's white and matches my desk). Then I fashioned it into a tablet stand. You do this by taking off the plastic and bending the tabs outwards. Then you secure the case in some way so that it doesn't slide. I have no string so I ducktaped the case open.
Then I took some cardboard and bent it into the proper shape to fit the Galaxy Nexus. I took an even smaller piece of cardboard and used that to make sure the Galaxy Nexus wouldn't slide out of place. I secured that using the glue stick.
Then I painted everything in whiteout to make it nice and sharp.
Obviously this could be much cleaner looking if I had the right parts but this is what I could make due with in my new apartment which has basically nothing in it.
Enjoy

Official Samsung Universal dock review

I got the dock in today after I ordered it from the Samsung site with the 50% coupon.
I had the iBolt dock for my S3 and was wondering how this would compare.
First off the build quality is excellent. The Rubber back and holster pieces are an excellent sticky rubber.

Even the suction cup is very soft and sticky. I was able to lock it on to my wood desk so tight it wouldn't pull off.
My only concern is that it wouldn't fit my Note 2 with a case. Not a problem. The Tpu hybrid case I made fits without a problem which makes me think everything with the possible exception of the Otterbox case will be the same
My case:
Big surprise to me at least that it came with the car charger. I don't ever remember it stating that on the website. That alone is worth about $15 online. I paid a total of $25 for the kit, but you can also get it on Amazon for about $33.00
Overall I'm very happy with the purchase. I always like to purchase OeM products for that reason. Hope this helped a few of you.
Thanks for the solid review

Have you had the opportunity to use it yet? I want to know if it goes into Drive Mode when you put it into the cradle and plug it in.
Thanks,
Alperin1
Yes I used it already. I don't recall it going into car mode
