I'm a noob so must apologise in advance. Looked through the forum and Google but couldn't find the answer anywhere.
Got my Incredible S-OFF with AlphaRevX, installed ClockworkMod and it was all fine.
Went to start putting Android Revolution HD 1.1.0 on my phone and downloaded the ClockworkMod Recovery EXT4 from the thread.
Now whenever the phone reboots it is stuck on the first HTC screen.
I can get into CWMR but nothing further. At the top it says "4EXTRecovery v1.1.1 RC1 Incredible S (CWMR 4) and says my partitions are currently fomatted EXT4.
I have tried all the different options in CWMR but can't get past the first screen.
Can anyone help, please be aware I am a noob.
Thanks

Having troubles after flashng roms this morning.
After a few goes, I got cyanogenmod working, and accidently restored my previous backup after thinking it would only do my contacts/apps. Now, when I try and flash anything, I get cache errors in recovery and cant get past the htc boot screen..and ideas?
Try deleting/factory reset in the clockworkmod recovery, but your backup file is likely corrupt.
you doing this in Rom Manager or Recovery menu dirctly?
It wound up being something to do with ext3/4 and rom manager somehow downgrading my clockworkmod version ....my newbish android skills on show there lol

all i know is when i do a restart it goes to cwm based recovery v5.0.2.7 every time i try something new it says installation started one second later it says installation aborted. i have used revolution hd wipe to start from scratch but apparently it does not wipe everything.
LG Revo stuck on CWM-based Recover v5.0.2.7 menu
I'm having the same type of issues. When I reboot the phone it goes straight to CWM-based Recovery v5.0.2.7 and won't do anything else except install Gingervolt 2.0. I'm dumbfounded as to what I should do.
I have a problem I haven't heard of yet.
I have a Vivid, S-OFF, Boot and SIM unlocked running CM 10 Official Nightly with TWRP 2.4.3 on T-Mobile.
Every other day the phone won't boot, just stays on HTC screen. I pull the battery and boot into recovery but nothing in recovery works. I can't restore backups or wipe anything and it says it appears no OS is installed.
In order to get it running I have to install CWM recovery and restore a backup I made with CWM.
Then a day later it starts all over again.
No idea what is going on but it's extremely frustrating.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
A lot of us are having problems with twrp 2.4.3.0. You could try the older 2.4.2.0 or flash WCX recovery. Last resort might even be reinstalling and starting fresh after you flash the different recovery

I am very new to the entire rooting side of android and my first try at getting a custom rom went bad.
I have an htc one international variant. I successfully rooted it. After rooting i tried installing a custom rom called Android_Revolution_HD-One_62.0, which once installed via 'recovery-clockwork-touch-6.0.3.1-m7' gave the installation prompts. after following them it just gets stuck in an endless boot loop alternating between htc logo screen and few seconds of clockwork mod screen.
I cleared all data, and cache before trying to install the above mentioned rom,
I made a backup of my stock version using the backup feature on clockwork mod but after failing with the custom rom, i tried to restore the back up but it gave me md5 mismatch issue.
So now I can't fix that issue on my phone and neither is the adb commands able to find my device to fix the md5 mismatch.
Please help me anyway possible.
Thank you

The ARHD thread says you need TWRP 2.6.3.3 recovery for 62.0. Try installing that, full wipe then reflash.

I am trying that out right now but it seems to always get stuck on the 'entering recovery' screen. I flashed TWRP 2.6.3.3 and erased cache after, but still this happens.
Hi,
I got my brother's old HTC One M7 and tried to flash the ROM.
I have experience with Samsung Devices so I figured it worked the same way.
I install cyanogenmod using their installer. It worked, but dreadfully slow (slower than the stock rom).
So I downloaded Android Revolution 53.0, put in the /Downloads folder and went into recover and tried to install from zip.
It appeared as if the installation went through, and now the phone is stuck on the HTC quietly brilliant screen.
I can go into HBOOT, FASTBOOT, RECOVERY.. But I can't seem to get past it.
Just went into recovery and see "No OS installed! Are you sure you wish to reboot?"
Please help!
Thanks.
First question....what version recovery are you using

So, I was able to figure out the original problem or at least get around it.
For whatever reason Android Revolution HD wouldn't install despite trying to flash the ROM using TWRP or CWM recovery.
I was able to get CyanogenMod and LiquidSmooth to work without issues.
I later used a Nandroid backup of a Bell Mobility (CID BM____001) and return it to "stock" JB.
I'm trying to get KIT KAT on it, I get the OTA update notification, but after it initiates the installation, device reboots into my custom recovery.
So, I tried to flash the stock BM recovery, and BM Stock KitKat install starts, but then I get a teal and pink screen back to back and get stuck on the HTC / Beats screen.
Any help is appreciated.
OK, your first problem sounds like you didnt flash the Boot.img first through fastboot, before trying to install the ARHD Rom, extract it from the zip file you downloaded and flash it through fastboot, then flash the rom, I believe Sense Roms (ARHD) will not work on non sense rom boots like CyanogenMod.
Post 3 problem is you need to install the stock recovery first.
Thanks for the quick response.
I've gotten further than where I was about an hour ago.
I realized when I flashed the stock recovery for BM_001, it was an older version (mismatched my ROM).
I flashed the the stock recovery version of my stock ROM, and I was able to get KIT KAT.
Now, it's doing a 2nd OTA update to get SENSE 6.
Will post update as soon as it's done. Hopefully it's successful.
