Can someone upload the music player and the camera app?
In another post i read that its not possible to export the camera app because it need specific data from the stock rom Oo
for the calendar app i dont know if its possible to port it.
but i would also like to know if there is any chance to get a different camera app on lg 2x cm7 because it looks like crap and i cant change to front camera

For me the front-cam is working, but you're right, on CM7 the camera quality and settings are horrible!

I think it's because as someone mentioned earlier the app needs some specific files from stock rom which arent available on cm7
So it's not possible to push the LG Stock Camera and Music player into CM7??
Gosh i really don't like CM's music player and camera~
Since LG released its Android 2.3.4 upgrade today, I'm shamelessly bumping this request
I'll give it another try and kindly ask if someone could please upload the V20L stock camera app.
I'd like to try out, if it works with CM7.
Thanks in advance

Thanks a lot!
Unfortunatly it doesn't seem to work with CM7.
Can't install the app - neither with the package installer nor by installing the zip through ClockworkMod
well, according to my surveys online, it seems impossible to use stock camera on cm7 due to some framework issues (as i remembered)
damn, i miss the stock camera - cm7 camera really sucks a lot(though its actually improving but still sucks)
stock gallery app
Will the stock gallery app of official V20L work with MIUI latest build 4 NOV 2011 (which is cygnamod based)? Can anyone upload it so that I can give it a try?

Anyone able to make a flashable ZIP that will replace the stock android camera and music player with the one from the MIUI ROM?
I really like the music player better and the camera has a few nice features that could come in handy, though I would perfer to stay with CM7, I just can't seem to find myself using MIUI as a daily rom.
In theory since miui uses CM source it should just be a matter of pushing the apks via adb. The only problem i see is getting them to work in english, i was thinking of doing it for the messaging app. I'll poke around with the rom tomorrow and post back if no one else finds a way.
I installed MIUI and then the English Language Pack and was able to pull the APK files and save them to the SDCard.
I then loaded up a nandroid of CM7-RC4 and replaced the original Music.apk and Camera.apk
Good news is they work, bad news is they FC alot with some of the features.
The Camera force closes when you try to pull up settings and another thing I can't remember. The Music player will FC if you go into settings and touch anything, the settings load but you can't touch them at all. It did play music though.
It's because you have to also pull the /lib files. Which are associated with the apk

I'm trying the above and it is not working. I have also pulled out the lib files associated with camera (libcamera.so, libcamera_client.so and libcameraservice.so). Still force closing on me when i try to launch the miuicamera. I also tried replacing the lib files with the ones from the MIUI rom and still no dice (even adjusted the permission via root explorer properly)
I'm on the NS4G, but I am sure it is the same process because i was using an NS4G miui to get the files.
Shed some light here please. I like CM7 and only want the camera app from miui.

ALLLLLRRRIIIGHHHHTTTT!!!! Finally a semi working version! Thanks much for this!
obviously there needs to be some kinks worked out for all the features to be supported as i get FC's here and there, but man, finally something that works! With android, you can rarely say something is a lost cause.
Thanks again FaithCry!
Doesn't the MIUI camera not support the front camera?

no problem I found that it was just the zoom if you tried to press it... other than that it worked for me; mind you i didn't experiment much. then again, why not just step closer or do the zoom on your comp since it is digital zoom anyway

nope not yet, not even on their own rom; you have to install the regular google camera to use the front facing one. they're just about to release a fix for the front facing one, don't know how long it will take to get ported; but i'll keep you guys updated if anything comes up!

I can't get the camera app to appear in my drawer. I followed the instructions, but it won't show up. Anybody have any ideas?
*EDIT* nm, I just had to reboot it again.
Hey quick question, would you be able to run the MIUI Camera on the Stock Google Rom also? Or do I need to have a customer rom installed first before I try to put the MIUI Camera on my phone?
Does anyone know if it would be possible to get the LG Camera working on CM7?
I'm really missing Panoramic shot and the alternatives on Market is not very good.

If you can, try opening a rom zip with Winrar.. Then find the camera app and delete it within winrar.. Then drag the LG camera app from your folder to the zip, and then flash it.. Maybe it'll work, but wont promise anything, because the framework in CM7 might be different than the stock rom..
Simple anwer: No, it does not work.

You can disable it in CyanogenMod settings. If that doesn't work, try editing build.prop file in System folder.
Use miui camera..u can always disable the shutter click

The MIUI Camera doesn't look very good on my SGM. There seems to be a alignment problem. Does anyone else have this issue?
I use Camera 360 for taking pictures on all roms. You can turn off all effects and use it as regular camera app..
I have a question about this too...
Does the CM7 camera really has touch focus feature???
You can google it sir. You can find everything on google , or you can browse on the development section on cm7 threads there are links on camera there.
Stock camera will not work in cm7 coz framework are different.

Use root explorer, go to system ---- media ---- sounds -- ui and delete the first file- called camera click or something like that
The cyanogen camera is just horrible - it's putting me off the whole ROM.
Is there anyone who has successfully reverted back to the Gingerbread 2.3.6 camera - which is a very good camera app.
Also, can someone explain how to allow permissions on an apk app?

Hi all,
Try camera zoom fx as it is the best camera app i've tried in the market. I have the .apk i'm not sure is it OK to upload it here as it is a paid app. I can give it to anyone who needs. (even upload here if it is ok ) Unfortunately, no updates will be available coz it is not purchased from the market. though all functionalities are perfectly working

Posting a paid apps apk is warez, and not allowed by xda.
Don't even offer to give people the apk, you could get in trouble with the mods.
Also support the dev's and pay for a great app.

It's not necessarily that simple as most of the 'stock' apps rely on the LG framework. If you want to test it then download one of the stock-based ROMs and extract the .apk from there.
Alternatively try one of the many camera apps fromt the Play Store or from our 'Apps' section.
