I had my 4 GB SD card partitioned to an 890 mb ext4, a 200 mb swap, the rest as fat32.
Then I switched to Froyobread v18 and skipped installing app2sd because I could "Move To SD" from the application manager.
Now my question is, does the move happen to the Fat32 partition or the ext4? And do I need to the partition at all?
Also, what difference does it make if I dont install App2SD at all if Froyobread allows me to move to SD?
Both.

I am new for App2SD.
I partitioned the 16G SD Card by Swap 32M, Ext2 1028M, Fat32 reminder and up Ext2 to Ext3 by RA 1.62 recovery and then I install evil rom v1.16 version.
When I install new app into the phone, it consumed more internal space for the phone.
After I use titanium backup move app to sd card (such as Map, Flash 10.1). The space in the phone remain unchanged.
Do I do the steps wrongly?
Thanks for your advice.
Hello,
my internal storage is nearly full. I cant intall some large applications anymore, altough all possible apps are moved to the SD card. (17/192MB)
I use the evil's nxsense Rom.
I also have partitioned the SD to 1024MB ext and swap.
I've heard that it's possible to extend the app storage with the SD.
How?
(Sorry, if this question is already answert somewhere, if that, please just send the link to the post)

If you installed eVIL's NXsense, it will automatically utilize EXT partition if present.
Repartition your SD card in recovery.
BACK IT UP FIRST - repartitioning erases everything.
hello guy
i want to ask u all
how can i partition my sd card using cwm?
i can see advanced > partition sd card
if can, can u show how to do it and what to do after done this step?
is it safe?
i want to do it via minitool partition but i do not have sd card reader
i'm using ketut blackhawk dxkt7 rom
You can partition the sd card using CWM recovery.
Be sure to backup your data as in the partition the sd card is formatted.
After selecting partition sd card the first thing you will see is the option to select the size of the partition that you want to make (generally select 1024=1gb).
Next will be the swap size. This is optional.
After selecting these options your sd card will be formatted with a 1gb ext partition.
Hope this helps.

I use CWM partitioning in conjunction with DTA2SD and it's awesome
Herpderp Defy.
I'm with SuperAce609 here. Look into my signature and find the link in which I've thanked him. After partitioning your SD card, the only thing you have to do is install S2E and reboot your SGA after you install any CM7 based Custom ROM. & boom! No matter if you install 100+ apps, you will never be out of internal memory.
use the search option.

Ok, this is my LG Optimus 3D system:
System ROM:1GB
Internal ROM: 1GB
Internal SD Card: 6GB
Ext SD Card: 32GB
I always facing "out of internal memory" problem. So, if I ever partition my SD Card vi CWM, what will change? Which part can be greater in size?

Can't. CWM makes ext3 partition, period.
You'd have to modify cwm to get it to partition in ext4 format.
I found this "4EXTRecovery" interesting for making ext4, just to make sure if anyone use and confirmed it work.

Okay. But like me I partition (you could pass the tutorial?). I seen by cmw of alfs v08a, is it safe?
Last doubt: I think 128 mb low, I can choose 256 mb or is it very risky?

No. Use partition tools software. Backup before format partition you sd card and use sd card reader. 256mb swap its safe but swap no need to that high.

What is the order to partition (ext4, swap, fat32)? And as an asset swap?

alfs suport ext 2/3/4
check with a partition tool the sd,must be
Fat 32: primary(above 1024mb)
ext2/3/4: primary(max 1024mb)
and if you have swap: logical
For better results reformat your ext2 to ext3,backup your sd card first
I have a 16gb sd and 1024mb ext3 primary partition and it work
25 apps installed some of them in internal and my free internal space is 201 mbs
No need link2sd apk just move each app in settings/manage applications/to sd and automatically they moved to ext partition
Can't sent to ext(i have ext2)
I already test it
backup your sd card to a pc folder and repartition to fat32 primary and second primary ext3 512 or 1024mb
or you can also partition your sd via CWMrecovery
All actions it will format the card so BeCareful
