[GUIDE] Downgrade to HTC Froyo WWE for Revolutionary (HBOOT 1.01.0001)

Hi.
Lots of people seem to be having issues when trying to downgrade their Wildfire from a carrier-branded version (HBOOT 1.01.0002) to unbranded WWE (HBOOT 1.01.0001).
I made a small package to help you do this.

Extract this package somewhere you can find it, like C:\buzzdowngrade
Step 1: run step1.bat from the package. This will downgrade your MISC partition to allow for the RUU downgrade.
At the end, GoldCardTool will start up, to allow you to create a goldcard which you will need before starting Step 2.
After you've made the goldcard, and inserted it, continue with step 2.
Step 2: run step2.bat from the package. This will downgrade your ROM version to HTC WWE Froyo for Wildfire (unbranded).
If you get a Customer ID error while doing this, your goldcard is not working!
Create a new goldcard and re-run step2.

I dont know why, but I taked the S-OFF without downgrade my 1.01.0002 orange spain HBOOT, using alpharevx linux version.

My wildfire is unlocked.
Can i use this to downgrade my Hbbot from 02 to 01

i am using a branded one with (HBOOT 1.01.0002) and s-off with alpharevx

it failed for here for psneuter so i have copy all in /data/local/tmp/

Can u make a little deeper explanation i did it twice at first it got me the black screen and htc logo and then nth happened , the second time it failed . What should i do
Edit : now the second step program closed and it is now no htc screen is this normal been like this for like 3 min ... help guys and btw the goldcard image didnt work so i installed another one

first step: he will downgrade ur misc partition to support flashing lower version rom>>
then he will help u get a gold card..(most imporatnt part).
thx to IEF make a lot easier,Then get ur card from ur mail.
put ur sd card in ur pc & let the program do all the hex for u.....
Run the second step & will be automaticly done once u put the gold card back to ur phone & wait...
if there is anything not clear specify it & mb i can help.

Format your SD card, generate a goldcard image online (sorry, can't remember right now, should be floating around the forum), use DD to "flash" it to the raw SD card device (/dev/sde or something like this, do "sudo fdisk -l" to find out exactly). MAKE SURE YOU USE THE RIGHT DEVICE. If not, you can easily overwrite the bootloader and/or partition table. Both are annoying, but fixable as long as you have some kind of Live CD around.
Since the RUU is Windows-only, get the script called OpenRUU. It should be around this forum. Follow the instructions to extract rom.zip out of the RUU and debrand.

hi sorry can you tell me step by step what to do and how to do the gold card and where to put it when it is done got no idea what i am doing

not working for me. the cmd just closes and im still left with 1.01.002, is there a problem? i use a telstra pre-paid wildfire in australia any help appreciated

i checked the device manager in winxp, the phone is correctly recognized as "my htc", usb_debug mode open, HTC sync not running.
does someone has same problem?

my Incredible S was also shipped with an Asian ROM that was not campatible with AlpharevX.
but it's an easy fix, download and install, RUU_Vivo_Gingerbread_S_Optus_AU_2.12.980.2_R_Radio _20.2803.30.085AU_3805.04.03.12_M_release_185028_s igned.exe

It works with the first gingerbread WWE that has the .22 radio. Not sure about the newer Gingerbread WWE.

u r lucky, my IS shipped S-on with higher version rom v2.21.1400.8, can't downgrade to Optus.2.21.980.2, that's why i flash the wwe_2.30.405.1, but no luck, damn..

Yes, stuck on acquring root. Worked well on old rom.
Please post your problem on alpharevx form.

did it when generating the key. i chose the 'it doesnot work' and attach problem description, hope they improve the program soon

I also have the same problem.
I was on India Rom and Alpharex was not working for me.
then I changed to WWE 2.30.405.1 but still no luck.
I tried to upgrade my rom to Optus but it fails on the bootoader with 'main version is older' error

no way to downgrade to a lower version if it's S-on, even you get a goldcard.

I dont it will be possible to install even if the Rom is rooted, since the device is S-ON

If you make a goldcard can you downgrade to a lower version? I had flashed my phone to 2.12.707.5 which is an Asia gingerbread ROM. I couldn't S-Off with alpharevx. So I made a goldcard and flashed my phone to 2.12.405.7 which is a Europe Gingerbread rom From there I was able to S-Off. Point being I went from a higher version to a lower version.

that is possible, a rooted system can change the current version number to lower to trick the ruu so that you can flash a low version into the phone

Has anybody scuccede Rooting the 2.30.405.1 Rom with the new AlpharevX 0.2pre5?

No temp root on 2.30.405.1 for now, then alpharevx can't works.

and how much time it will take untill the alpharevx team create a www 2.30.405.1 compitable version?

If you don't have S-OFF, then you won't be able to downgrade using an older RUU.

There's no exploit for phones with the latest official software update yet... Sorry! You'll just have to wait until someone works out a way around it.

htc m7 serious help needed

hello all,
i am having problem with m7_ul cid tmob101
according to customer he tried to unlock it with sieempi methos and installed philz recovery and accidentaly format the system partition of phone
now the problem is phone is at latest version 4.4.2 i think. No ROM available for this version i think
i tried all possible things to recover the phone like bootloader unlock, custom recovery, sideload rom installing etc etc
always signature error, may be CID missmatch or hboot lower version...
need serious help in this phone
phone original info is:
HBOOT:1.57.000
MAIN OS: 5.14.531
RADIO: 4T.XXX.
TMOB USA BRANDED
NEED GUIDANCE TO REVIVE MY PHONE...

@gurinder Go to the T-Mobile HTC One forum and search for the latest RUU 5.14.531. Then run the RUU. I would provide the link but I'm not at the computer.

i have not found this firmware as RUU or zip.. i think this verison is OTA and none of other version installing on phones coz of hboot higher version.. need help in this.. i tried those both tmob firmware available on forum. always signature error or error 155 ( tries in both ways) bootloader unlocked and locked with cutom recovery and original stock recovery

NEED Help PLease !!! diffrent CID and MID

sory for my bad languange .My phone is PN710000 HTC__004 WWE. I've never S-OFF and once I change to super CID 1111111.
afterwards I change my CID back into HTC__001 but I forgot to change my MID.
i already LOCK and S-ON. and I return to 1.44..dan HBOOT now I can not restore it.
please help me so that I can be S-OFF. I have done all the way .. I try revone and error code = -6.

Android Revolution HD 9.4 is a close to stock custom rom. Unfortunately, I can not find it (it is quite old) but I did find ARHD 31.6. Flash this rom and try revone again.

already Download ARHD but i still canto do S-OFF. then some one says i must have 4.2.2 ROm and download Maximus HD 11 that have 4.2.2 . but still i cant do S-OFF . revone error code -6...any suggestion??:crying::crying:
