A while back I saw a link (I believe it was in a HyperDroid-related thread) to a web site where you can do complete Android UI customizations.
I went to the link back then and it looked cool but I never bookmarked it. I've searched through the forums and gone through various threads and I cannot find the link anymore.
Does anyone know what I'm talking about? It's supposed to generate a flashable .ZIP file for use with CWM

On their web page http://www.europe.htc.com/support/software/ we can find GPS enabled ROM...only problem is that they don't allow to download it to anyone with Trinity not marked with HTC. So maybe someone could download it and put it somewhere to download for others. Or working IMEI would be fine
Looong thread about the new ROM here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=301017
Including links to alternative places to download the ROM from.
Also links to all the ROM versions including this one here:

Had to miss that...Thx
Wow that wiki sure is a great thing, now if only people went there and read it first

Those honestly sound like viruses to me. Like the stuff you find on the internet, "oh you want this pic? Download xxx.jpg.exe." DONT DO IT.
find the ROM links on this forum
I echo xsnipuhx. XDA is known for developer mods and ROMs and thus is a reputable source. Best to get it here if possible unless you trust the source you've downloaded it from. If you don't know where it came from to begin with then its not worth the risk.
i get them here, but they are links to 4share and when i download form there the zips turn into .jar files. which are some java type. but i just changed the extension from .zip.jar to just .zip and they functioned just fine. thank you guys though. btw i have a macbook so dunno if that has anything to do with the functioning working correct. Just flashed to Drizzy MyTouchFlo, real nice.
Ah, that could be why then having a mac. Well it works ^_^
Could you please edit your thread title to include [SOLVED] so mods and others know? Thanks

did you know, that the best netuser's friend is........research ? don't you wonder if one of previous of hundreds users asked for this before you ?
From what i searched came up with nothing pertaining to this phone.
Ive done phones before this but no LG product.
oh com'on, that means you didn't search well in this p970 forum. at least google should do it, but whatever, take a look at my thread or nooby's one in general section
Found a lot of dead links, phone seems hard for a lot of others. I got it though using LG Esteem ROOT.
Could not find a lot of other files to try. Gingerbreak which alot used just found bad links or ones that wanted to install other programs.
nice.
if you found dead links, you could report them to their respective authors. just know that you can find every needed things in the kit I provide. also, take a look at my shares (link in signature)
Is your post the one i saw it said to use "Gingerbreak"? cause i could not find that link either. Unless it was under a different name?

It seems you have a lot of research to do, by reading through the various stickies in General and Development, and posting questions in Q&A.
Hi, you can find more information here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1487105
I recomend you BlackJack to root your device.
Based on current poll results close to 60% of all Android users have no idea how to apply custom themes, icons, widgets ect... on their phone, for the last few days I have been trying to find some information on this topic but finished with no luck, im sure these instructions been posted many times in the past or on page ######/84573895739 lol, even with basic internet searching there is no pages or threads found that explain the process...but seriously speaking with your help I would like to put together a noob guide on this subject and request it as a sticky.
Poll Results:
Do you use custom themes?
Yes, I know how and I use them 1,459 38.53%
No, I know how but I choose not to use them 249 6.58%
I don't know how to change themes 2,079 54.90%
based on these results I am not the only one who has no idea how to get my phone looking exactly the same as posted here...
1) how to apply install any icon pack from .zip file obtained here, could someone please give me some basic noob instructions where exactly to place the .zip or extracted folder? how to install them/apply them? and can I use them with Next launcher? if not I can use a different launcher - which you recommend that is best for custom themes?
2) if someone has patience with this being asked a millionth time please give me dummy steps to get my phone looking exactly like the following SC 73 theme found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=42485887&postcount=2113
3) If I manage to install the icons how the hell do I get the widgets looking the same? Is it something to do with the zooper widget app?
4) On another note, these theme require UCCW? how on earth do I get my phone looking like any of the following here?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=43085671&postcount=2293&nocache=1&z=4107321248570039
Im sorry to ask these simple questions but there is no instruction found anywhere grrrr so with your help ill put together a simple step by step guide for others like me
I outlined everything in this post.

If someone can confirm that this indeed is true, XDA might want to evaluate allowing DEV-HOST on the forums links.

The links seem to be down already, but if one searches for the zip names on google, one should find the link to the files, and refresh the page a few times, the Download using MANAGER should come up, and that should be the virus installer.
This should also work with any DEV-HOST hosted files I suppose, so as long as you get that little check box under the DOWNLOAD button
Another Update: The file links seem to go up and down.. I wonder why that is.
