I have been searching for a working battery percentage for the DS7 and have not found any I like. There are the ones on the market but I would like one that replaces the stock status bar battery with a working %. I found a zip that you would flash through clockwork but it was for the dell streak not the 7. I saw it was for a dj steves rom, im running his 2.2.2 rom on my DS7 is there a way to get battery % on the DS7?

Right now I'm using cyanogen 6.1 but I'm noticing a lot of battery drain and on my car charger my phone continues to drain even while charging. I don't want to go back to stock because I love features like portable wifi, but I'm a heavy user and I need solid battery life. Any ROM suggestions for me that I can flash through clockwork while I'm at work? Or any ideas on how I can fix the battery on my current CM ROM?
first about the battery life... Got to settings, about phone, battery use. What is eating up your battery? usually display eats up most of my life. Try turning your display down... Maybe you have a rogue app running in the background eating up your juice?
As for ROMS, the stock ROM does have wifi hotspot and USB tethering. Perhaps try the stock ROM for a while and see if that makes any difference? It could be a battery problem/ issue. There is a great app for CM that allows you to see your battery life/wear @ http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=765609
The ROM I have been using is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=714184. It is very close to stock, but has many performance tweaks and such. I use it with this kernel : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=820172. By far the best battery life on any ROM/kernel combination I have tried. Both can be flashed by Clockwork.
Also, when Gingerbread finally gets here, there is a much updated and detailed battery meter installed with graphs. Hopefully it will only be a few more weeks.
I've been running the HC v4 eMMC 2nd ed. for a few days now, and everything is working pretty fine. After I autonootered, I turned off Cell Standby, by renaming the telephony and phone files, and my battery life went from around 10 hours to 4-5 days. Now that I have HC installed, the battery life dropped 25% in 12 hours. I'm not looking forward to carrying the plug around with me again, so I went looking for similar files in the apps folder of HC, and didn't find anything similar. I realize there is a slight overvoltage in the HC ROM, but I was running eclair at 1.1GHz and still getting great battery life. Has anyone else looked into getting battery life back up for an HC Nook? I was thinking about dual booting and going back to a stock nook(or the DB Eclair) but I guess that's a hassle with ext4 currently.
Hi all
After installing MIUI-AU my battery cannot charge above 30-40 % why?
How can i fix the issue? PLEASE HELP!
As i previously read this ROM should have excellent battery life. i don't understand why its affecting me in this way.
Download and install method are bellow
Regards,
Guy.
I wiped all the phone before i installed.
I installed MIUI on my nexus from this location:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1010018
the file that i downloaded is:
Miui-AU-1.4.1 R1 – Nexus One (Multilanguage) [110.2 MB]
charge the phone all the way until the LED is green ,then turn off the phone and keep charging it then when the LED is green turn the phone back on and keep charging it, that should fix your problem.!!!
Do you have the stock battery or after market? You can install the battery cal app in my Sig and check the status of your battery chip. But there's no reason why it should have stopped working if it was before.
I got my battery % icon to change to honey comb.... now I can't make it the "charge battery to show its charging" it says its charging but will not "show" its charging by filling the bar up. I've tried many things changing the stat_battery_charge.xml files and everything nothing works please help??
all battery mods work different.
some dont "fill" up.
or how did you change it?
more info helps us help you....
I replaced the pngs in the framework rea apk and i switched out stat_system battery xml. Too i tried switching out the stat charge xml but that caused it to not go into the charge icon at all just showed battery percent. Not the lightning bold charging symbol
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
Why not use an easier method and get a zip file to flash the honeycomb battery?
What are you using to compile the apk with? What errors are you getting?
