It should work if you install via Root Explorer (package installer) and reboot.

I installed it like any other app on cm7 rc11. Now works almost fine. I didnt use root explorer or anything else at all. Maybe the package has problems. Download it from android central stie or androidandme site and try again.
That was easy.
Downloaded from the multiupload direct link, installer ran it automatically, then it installed quick like a bunny.
Surprised that the app is pretty snappy now after a sluggish first impression.

I just installed it on my Motorola Droid 1. It works great! better than the old app market. This new is look SWEET!!!! This new app is awesome!!!
Have also installed it now, on top of iceandfire/CM7. Installed it normally (no Rootexplorer) and the market is working flawlessly.
Seems like this version of Android Market downloads to /cache instead of /sdcard/downloads (as in the CM version). Since I have dalvik-cache on /cache, downloads/updates for large apps fail :/

I don't understand something about this new market. How the heck am I supposed to update an app when there is only one app that has an update? I click the app and it says open, then I go back and it shows an update still. It doesn't show an 'update all' button like when there are multiple apps that have updates.
EDIT: The app, it insists on staying in the update available list even when it is already updated. The only way to resolve this was to reboot. This new market has some bugs that need fixed, as with any first release. The honeycomb market had quite a few issues as well when it first came out, but they have since then been resolved.
Isn't the new market slower than the current one for you guys?
i like the new markwt because of its design

I actually didn't upgrade market this way but it got updated on it's own but reverted back to original market because it wouldn't let me upgrade or download new apps it would say it download it but it would never install them. So for now I'll be sticking to the old market. In case you want the old market pull it from stock rom or a rom like plainjane and then replace it and delete the market updater this will let you keep the market without it getting updated.

Did you try restarting after installing the new market? I was having trouble with it as well, but after a restart it was able to download and install apps again.

I noticed that too; I think it automatically flags all Google apps for auto-update.
I downloaded the Eris Market Fix from the market and ended up getting the 2.2 market. and check out androidvideo.net on your android. this one of the best sites ive seen
Hey I'm having a problem installing this.

Why wont angry birds install on my phone running celebfroyo 3.2. There has to be an explanation and or a fix for it. Tried a few roms xtrsense worked but it is 2.1... any one know why this wont work?

Installed fine on my 2.2 nonsensikal eris and my coworkers 2.1 hero. It runs like crap tho compared to an iphone/ipod version. I have already had it fc a few times. after trying to sling the bird the screen freezes and fc and if i let the screen lock the graphics will be all messed up when you turn the screen back on. also some graphics are missing on certain levels.
my wife installed and ran it just fine on her stock 2.2 incredible last night without any problems. i think the eris just doesnt have the hardware to run it smoothly or efficiently.
I have been able to get it to run just fine on KaosFroyo v37. Runs a little laggy at times but graphics are great. I had to search through the threads to find the full version of the .apk since getjar wouldn't recognize my phone and when I put in the eris, it sent me to the beta download.
It installed fine on my phone and I'm running CelbFroyo 3.2. However since it was not showing up in the market I grabbed the version off of getjar.
you can install it and it will function, but there are some graphic bugs I have noticed after comparing it to an incredible and iPod touch. it will get laggy sometimes too

Running fine on KF v. 37 with conap's BFS v.5 kernel.
How?????
I keep seeing people say they have installed this game on 2.2 roms. I have tried Kaosfroyo, tazz's rom, celebfroyo 3.2... The game will not install. I have tried using onymous app installer, astro, fast web installer for app brain and none of these will work. I have the app on my sd card, I have moved it all over the place on that too. If it does work on the previously mentioned roms, How in the F*&% did you get it to install? Thank you for your time.
How did you install it?
Due to the ton of people trying to download it, it may have prematurely stop downloading but your computer might have said complete. I had this happen a few times. You most likely just have a bad download.
I had problems with download errors too. After a google search for the apk I transfered it via usb from my PC and installed with no issues. It is still a little laggy on the Eris but runs much better than the beta version.
edit: I'm running CELB froyo 3.2 and the app did not show up in the market for me when I searched the QR code.
I have had no download errors I have re downloaded this a couple of times and installed and played it on a 2.1 rom. It will not install on kaos froyo v37 with bfd b4 kernel. So I ask again how are you guys installing this on your phone? Adb? Htc sync?

It took a few times to download it but it finally worked for me. I went back to the AppBrain website, hit cancel install (it may still say install if you are logged in), refreshed the page and clicked on install again. Try that.
I downloaded the apk off these forums and used astro to install. I'm running KF v36. minimal lockups and gfx issues no lag.
I'm running Vanilla Tazz v12 and was able to install it without issue. Sucks that our phone doesn't support OpenGL ES 2.0...
When I try to install it it just says not able to install. It takes about a second or so.

I downloaded from a thread on xda (just used search) then used adb to install the .apk. Works fine. I have a few graphics problems and some lag during a few of the levels but nothing really to complain about.
Running KaosFroyo v37 with CFS v6.

Same issues with graphics not loading right - mainly inanimate objects like walls, hills, ledges, boxes...
Some lag here and there but never enough to render the game unplayable by any means
I have found that in my recent installs of more than one rom, my market will not download apps. I installed ExEn Hero, AOSP 2.3.3, and Kifno's gingerbread sense. They all say downloading, then unsuccesful and quits.
I have tried using different versions of gapps. I have also done the cache and data clearing of download manager and market. I deleted the .android-secure file as well.
Nothing seems to work. Can any one help?

Puzzled ex en hero???? And what rom are you on now??? What recovery??? What kernel?? What version of gapps?? This might get you help faster. Also what were the exact steps you took to end up were you are now?? And what android secure file are you referring to??
Yea it's Me Again With The

That's the reason I removed anything gingerbread from my phone. All my nands were doing this. After removal, I restored nands and reinstalled the roms over top. Bam! Everything is fine again.

I had the same problem before and what I did was re installed the market and it started working fine. Also consider editing your market in the build.prop file so it shows up as the droid x market. This will end up showing you all of the protected apps and such look at this link

I have seen some updates to the market and having seen my friends phones, (HTC Desire and SGSII ) I would like to know if the new updated layout for the market has been pushed out for the nexus yet?
I tried uninstalling the updates for the market app and restarting my phone but it doesn't work
I am also running stock 2.3.4 not rooted
Yes mine auto updated to the latest a couple of days ago.
BTW. CM7 latest nightly.
Yep. Got 3.1.5 showing on my N1.
Thats strange, is there any way to force the update?

I don't think you can force it if you didn't get it OTA, but you can download it, and manually install. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1272152

FC during update downloads
Since the 3.1.5 market, I am seeing lots of Market FCs when trying to download updated apps. I am not able to update anything successfully.
Tried wiping Market Data and Cache, reinstalling Market from the XDA link multiple times, and changing language.
N1 MarkDenver AOSP v3.1 ROM - very stable by the way, currently 194 hours since last reboot, and that was to finish installing software.
Hi Folks,
I have flashed kallt_kaffe's rom located here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=28871951&postcount=1
Everything worked except these:
I can't see my galaxy tab anymore on 'my computer' when I connect it via usb. Also Kies can't recognize the tablet.
I have flashed gapps however not everything installed along with it. Google Maps is missing for example and when I try to do a voice call through Gtalk, it shuts down immediately.
What would you suggest?
Just found the solution to the first issue: Enabled MTP device via storage settings.
However looks like Gapps does not install properly; Google Maps is missing and voice/video calls in Gtalk won't work
Re-download gapps and re-flash it. It may be a bad download.

I did it like 5 times and still won't work.
Also checked the files if they are in place through ES file explorer and they indeed were.
Tried to install some of them and got 'install failed' error...

Uninstall gtalk and then reinstall. Get maps and gtalk from the store. That'll probably solve your problem.

More importantly, I wouldn't commit to that particular ROM, as the developer abandoned it without warning almost two months ago.
I did it uninstall and then reinstall and it still did not work, so frustrating.
Very strangely, when I accessed the Maps through the store app, it told me that it was not available in my country??
and later I was able to install it through the browser.
Plus when I chose 'all the apps from Google', I could see only the one third of all their apps.
I can't figure this out... only for this I could go back to stock ICS.

Thanks for the suggestion. I found the solution to the Gapps issue, just replaced the Gtalk from an old Gapps package and it worked like a charm.
Anyway is that ROM stable yet?

I'm using C-o-M's unofficial CM 10.1 and it's simply amazing. It's breathed new life into my tablet and I no longer feel the urge to run out and get a Nexus 10 just to have the latest version of Android.
