I found this new market, and after trying to install it on my g1 with cm6 it didn't install. Has anyone gotten it to install? Do we need to convert the hdpi graphics to mdpi to get it to work, or do graphics not affect whether or not an installation is successful?
This download worked fine on my NC once I added the ".apk" to the end of the filename, so I know this download works. I mention this fact because there is another download for the new android market that is corrupt.

It has mdpi images in it to, it might require gingerbread though, I dont have ginger on my g1 so I can't say it works on it or not. Try pushing the new market to /system/app and see if anything changes. It might fc if it's not compat with froyo.
im using it on the COS rom
I use it with Froyo by Laszlo. Installed fine with just executing the apk-file from the phone.

I'm running COS-DS Rom and simply uploaded the apk file to my Dropbox account from my PC. Opened dropbox on my G1 and downloaded the file. It then prompted me to install the file. Very easy.
does anyone know if i can integrate this new market into a rom, so when you flash it for first time the new market comes stock?

backup your framework-res.apk before you flash
"adb pull /system/framework/framework-res.apk", or you can you a file manager and copy it to your sdcard right on the phone.
How to install:
this does not work with rom manager
copy the file over to the root of your sdcard, rename it update.zip, reboot into recovery mode, select "reinstall packages"

copy /system/framework/framework-res.apk using root explorer to /sdcard/sd so it is viewable when you connect your phone to windows and mount it for data transfer. then you can copy it to your computer.
I wouldve done it already but my drivers crapped out on the work lappy and now its time to leave work.
If no one gets this done by the time I log on tonight from home, I will upload the jf6 framework-res.apk

This was packaged with an early version of voodoo lag fix - and i believe it is part of SRE - not sure who the author is - DG maybe?
It is the stock blue battery meter with a number in the middle and about 25 increments instead of the stock 4.
This would be a great update.zip or apk.
Anyone know where to get this by itself?
just grab the framework-res.apk from /system/app from SRE and put it in the same place on your phone
Thanks!
For some reason i thought there was more to it then that.

You just need to replace the new framework-res.apk with the original. If you did not back yours up, there is a stock one located here. You can use an update.zip if it is easier for you that way.

i think you'll have to take your own framework-res and modify it with the graphics and xml source files manually to get it working. they can be taken from the sre apk
can you get this to be the default green? or maybe like black with white lettering.

So you don't have market with version 1.0? To be honest never used it personally so no idea. If it has no market then simply upgrade (or as the guides tell you downgrade) to cupcake v1.5. Maybe I'm missing something but not sure what the hassle is?

Hi, after test for some times, i made the flashable root package for 2.3.4 (That the device has flash the leaked HKTW 2.3.4 and unlocked the device)
NOTE:
Unlocked Atrix 4G with HKTW 2.3.4
Please flash the CWM recovery first: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1138541
You should have a external sd card in your device, because the recovery cann't recognize the internal card
DOWNLOAD:
PLEASE download from the attachment, I'm really sorry that my site was down.
I think all of you know how to flash zip from recovery, so I'll not give hint about this, LOL

Then I tried getting root explorer and it FC's on opening the app. WTF?

This is because you didn't read my post carefully. You should have a EXTERNAL SDCARD in your device first! Because the recovery cann't mount the internal sdcard.

There is another way to check whether the root of your device work or not.
Run cmd in Windows or terminal in Linux.
execute the following cmd:
Code:
adb shell
su -
After you input the "su -" cmd, you should have a dialog to allow root access in your device. I.e, the root works. Otherwise, it doesn't work.
BTW, does your device unlocked and flash the HKTW android 2.3.4 rom?

TOO bad, the zip file should be flashed as the normal way to flash rom.
GOTO recovery then choose this zip file to flash.
BTW, you should copy the zip file to the external sdcard first!

I have SlimBean and I really don't want reinstall just for the voice dialer. However, the 'VoiceDialer.apk's I can find are for ICS and don't work with my BT headset - "starting, failure."
Any for 4.2.2?
Why not just grab the .apk from the ROM's zip file?

I wiped my computer from the last time I flashed. It'd suck having to find the zip again and extract it just for a simple APK. I'll try and find it though, and put it here if someone needs it via Google.
(and as it turns out, appearantly slimbean doesn't ship VoiceDialer.)
So re-download the ROM and grab the apk

How are you installing it? That is, are you using the package installer or are you just copying it over to an app directory and rebooting? If you are doing the second approach, you need to chmod 755 the apk.
