So I bought this mesh case from e-Bay 10 days ago and it arrived yesterday (pretty fast for a Hong Kong - Spain shipping).
The case is nice and there's a lot of colours, also it does not add a lot of bulk, it's super slim. I ordered the orange one for my and to try it out and I've just ordered a lime green one for my girlfriend. I'ts not the first time I order a case for my I-9023 but it is the first time that a case tagged as I-9023 actually fits perfectly and all the buttons are clicked without ANY problem, other times I've just received an I-9020 case
Anyways, the case does not protect a lot from big drops but it will protect it from the little ones and it gives the phone some cool style and also an anti-slip feel that I like a lot.
If you buy it just be sure to buy the I-9023 version, I don't know If I can put e-Bay links here but as a tip, the e-Bay vendor specifies in the product description that the case is for the I-9023 with SCLCD screen and not for the I-9020 with the SALED one.

Just recieved my order of 10. I purchased a single 9023 case in gold at the same time I ordered the 10 pack of the same cases.
The gold fits my nexus 4g snug as can be, the pack of ten is a bit loose and floppy. Nothing a single strip of black gorilla tape didn't fix tho.
Super thin and the colors are really vibrant. Seems like they're colored plastic as well and not just painted.

Yeah, I just got my black one I ordered for my NS4G and its a bit loose. Right now its solved with the cleaning clothe that it came with sitting in between the phone and the case. When I get some free time I'm going to get some fabric, I'm thinking orange or yellow, and spray glue it to the inside. Hopefully it works well.

I used to find that while they looked awesome, I always had a problem with dust getting into the holes of the mesh. These lead to tiny scratches for me.

Word. Got mine a long time ago and the phone would slip right out it was so loose. Granted I have a 4G is was still disappointing... Threw it out. There goes 12 quarters... Hahaha

there are some that fit i9023.

Though some are quite loose, most of them do fit nicely. Since you get 10 of those at once, there will be at least one that would fit ;-)
It's funny to switch color from time to time, I even match the live wallpaper with the cover I put on.
Got a black one for my i9023.... it fits awesome! Thanks for the heads up here. It clicks in without much force and doesn't disconnect in the pocket.
I purchased a Mesh case for my i9020. It arrived and was very loose indeed. However after fitting part of a left over screen protector inside to pad it out a little it now fits OK and looks fine.
Interestingly though i can't help but think that leaving the top and bottom exposed is a potential issue as many scratches and knocks often occur in these locations.

I ordered mine when the MT3G came out and the mic hole was on the wrong side because it was made for the Magic but I believe they fixed this problem.
overall good cases man better than the silicone ones

my bad for posting something that was already up i didn't know this was already a subject elsewhere i figured since the title said "thin, snug, silicone cover" he was referring to the silicone cases not the gel resin type cases thanx a lot though you guys have reassured my purchase.

I bought a black and clear.
The case itself is pretty nice, but there are a couple of problems IMO:
1) The case covers the volume rocker, so it is difficult to adjust the volume
2) The patter is something that I don't particularly like.
Other than that, it provides excellent protection with little bulk. The screen protector that comes with it is also nice.
Just got mine on Thursday and I'm really happy with it. It was much better than the soft rubber HTC one I had. Fit very well with minimal overlap on top, as compared to the HTC one, and gives extra grip vs no cover. It does not have a cutout where the volume is, but you can press the buttons even though its covered.
I purchased 2 of them as well. They are the best I have found but I ultimately quit using them. They just add to much bulk to the phone. I wish they were thinner. I am looking for something like the Incipio Feather or the Case-Mate Barely There for this phone. If anyone finds something like that, let me know.

I have the black one. I've had the case for just as long as I had the phone and I can say that it is GREAT. it's silicon, but not to soft like those blackberry skins. I've dropped it from about 3 feet (off a table) and it didn't have a scratch on it

Excellent. I have bought one through Amazon, though the price is astronomical (because of unusual shape), it is worth the money. In initial days I did a lot of SD card swap, SIM swap so the rubber loosened up a little bit, but it is keeping my phone like new in spite of a few bumps.
I have the otterbox case and I think it changes the angle at which the usb/charge cable is attached.
I think over time it is going to cause damage to the micro usb slot.
Otterbox is way too thick and bulky. I prefer SGP Ultra Capsule Case

It already did. At least I managed to break the little cover in a few weeks. And yes there is a high potential that even the contacts will get damaged if not handled carefully through the slot.
I was actually thinking about taking a dremmel tool to mine and sand it down a bit. It's the top of the bevel that causes the problem. I have to agree that there is a huge potential for damage in the long term.
SGP is way better!
I've had the Zagg & the SGP.
My buddy has the Otterbox.
The Zagg doesn't look great & tends to 'smear'.
The SGP is slim fitting, firm & cushy. The screen protector is very good.
The otterbox is a big & puffy, looks like a retard's helmet.
You have to be a douche bag to use the otterbox IMHO.

I know. I'm just goofing around.
I actually only use my otterbox when I know that I'm going to be outside for a long time. I don't want to drop the phone and break it now that I have it just the way I like it!
Even though the SGP case is nice, nothing beats the look of the phone without anything on... Only use the case when I have to since I just love the look of the XT720 natural. The screen protector for SGP XT720 feels good, but I just noticed the other day a small hole in the screen protector - no idea how it happened. Fortunately it's at the bottom by the buttons and not by the actual screen so no big deal but I can't figure out how it could have gotten such a hole... wonder if that would have happened with otterbox.

I've had this Otterbox since I got my phone last September and have been pretty satisfied with it. I had a similar one on my Blackberry that had the hard case on the inside of the rubber case and the rubber loosened up. Not on this version....even after the numerous battery & SD card pulls during the ROM flashing fun. I do a fair amount of outside work so I feel the need to protect my phone as much as I can.
Also, I used the screen protector that came with the Otterbox, but when I had to replace my phone, it got boogered up. When the new one came, I simply left the temporary shipping screen protector on and it's done quite well.
Accidents happen (Accident After-Action Report) XD
Well I have even more love for this case. Recently I was in a bicycle accident that ripped my chin open and required many stitches. My phone/music player is always in the front synch pouch of my slingbag when I'm riding. When I flew over my handlebars and landed on my chin, I also landed right on the phone and I slid a good 3-4 feet before I stopped. While my chin was pretty messy by this time, my phone came out intact and with a lot less scratches and gauges then I thought. On the plus side, it even has a bit of soaked-in blood on the scratches that makes it look badass .
Overall, I've gotten quite a bit of value out of my initial 34.99 that I payed for it and I'm still using the case since. Hope my future replacement for my XT720 will have as good of a case as my Otterbox.

Unboxing - Aside from the case itself, you get a package of screen protector with necessary tool to apply. According to some user reviews, the screen protector doesn't fit nicely as there are a little bit part (around 2mm) that doesn't stick completely both on top and bottom of the handset. The surface is kinda rubbery similar to Thinkpad or Motorola Milestone, while it is good for a grip it is also prone to attract dirt if you have white color that is. Selection of color will be: Black, Brown, White & Red
Overall look - I think I'm love ..look definitely sick for me
Fit for I9023 - Perfectly fit, it's specifically designed for I9023 dimension. It doesn't look bulky at all, I would call Momax case bulky (I have one) while this just fits perfectly in hand.

I finally realized that the i9023 is slightly thicker then the i9020. Wasted 3 cases on it. Currently using a Ballistic case but its huge. Ordering the white one like the OP now.

My worries:
Silicone will be a lint magnet and will get loose over time, but nillkin is a high quality brand so it might not happen.
Hard Shell will be too little protection and if I drop it, the phone might still be damaged.

The Case itself fits my Phone (europe Nexus S i9023) pretty nice and snappy, you just have to pop it on and the phones doesnt move at all.
The Feeling of the Case is a bit slippery first, but I gets better when you use it for a Day or two -
I was used to ZAGG Invisible Shield feeling on the back which is very, very sticky, so maybe its not that slippery if you compare it to the orginal Backdoor
The Holes are pretty good cut out, I can reach all the important buttons and holes.
Overall I'm pretty happy, I have many Colors to choose from and I only cost me 20 Bucks (Euro) which isnt not that much - I think
Now I'll just have to wait and see how many Dust I'm collection inside the case

And also do they fit on the phone with your zagg still on it (cause I have BestSkinsEver on mine and wouldn't like to take it off!), or did you have to take it off first? (10 days from Hong Kong is the fastest they get to Europe. You were really lucky! )

The White one is matte (if you mean its not glossy), so yes - i think it will get dirty very soon, but I think you can wash it off.
The red one is pretyy shiny and metal looking, looks good in my opinion.
They fit on the phone quite nice - and I still have the Invisible Shield on, so no problem there
I bought it from hongkong cause it was a little bit cheaper and they had no shipping costs
all the metalic cloured one's are painted, they look like matt with a rubbery feel, but not actually like the rubbery type feel that you get from the incipo, you can get them from china in bulks like 10s for only USD 3-4 and cheaper if you buy more.
and because of the quality you can some time scratch the back covers, best to buy the non mesh type with the rubbery feel inside, as the nexus s covers are very easily scratched.
I tried to scratch the pink one, since i wont use it, but i cant get a single scratch on it.
Also i broke it in half, its not painted, its fully colored plastic ... i am impressed

Thanks for the info. I already placed my order! Now all I have to do is be careful with my i9023, until they arrive.
I bought one of these a while back for the galaxy S2, as well as the nexus S.
Both seem to last between 2 and 3 weeks.
they fit great, but on the S2 the corner cracked and broke (without being dropped!) the nexus S one survived but the black peeled off.
also you get a lot of dust through the holes.

I bought similar mesh cases like these but without the holes for my i9023.
Only problem is that after a while, the case corner edges gain a little crack in them, mostly on the top left and top right. do you get this problem with the ones you purchased?

I was able to order the commuter when I ordered the phone from Sprint yesterday.
The Defender case is fully ready. There are some color options not quite ready yet, however, mostly it is released. It has about 6 different colors right now. Also comes with a free belt clip add on!

The symmetry series looks interesting. I haven't used an otterbox for a while as I feel like Casemate has kinda out otterboxed them with their toughcase which is about as thick as the commuter but has protection more along the lines of the defender. That symmetry looks like it might be pretty good though, I can see myself taking one for a spin...
Does anyone else have the otterbox commuter yet? Mine doesn't seem to fit right down near the headphone and USB ports. Should I try to exchange the case, or are they all like this?

I'm also disappointed that they switched from silicone for the inner layer to what feels like TPU. It's harder to get on and off, and you need to take it off to access the memory card.
That's normal for the commuter. I never got one to fit quite right

That's a shame. The one I have on my EVO 4G LTE fits perfectly.

Uh, that's not on right. Try taking it of and putting the shell on bottom first and pull the port cover tab through the hole first.
Mine fits perfectly.

I'm even more aggravated with otterbox now. I had to pay 20 dollars more and 5 dollars for shipping I didn't get! Guys if you order do it through Amazon. I'm getting a refund one way or another

I've tried taking it off and putting it back on several times, no luck. Sprint's sending me a new one.
Was at best buy earlier today and decided to pick up the black commuter case. Didnt plan on getting the commuter, but i needed a case as i already noticed a scratch on the back.
Tried to make the case fit better a few times, but i cant get the gap around the headphone and usb port closed.

Same exact problem I have with mine.
If someone has their Defender case already, can someone please quote me and post a picture of the front? I'm very curious about what the cutouts for the speakers look like.
