I changed in the settings to another font, then in computer picked SegoeWP.ttf font family and renamed it to the DroidSans font family. Then, with Root Explorer changed the Segoe renamed to droidsans in system/fonts. Then switched back to DroidSans in settings. BE CAREFUL, you may have a bootloop so you will have to reflash.
I now changed the fonts in a Custom ROM before flashing. Better this way.

Try this :
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...SwxLDEsImNvbS5qcnVtbXkuZm9udC5pbnN0YWxsZXIiXQ..
Here is how I changed my font from stock to Roboto
1. Root your device
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1454112
2. download your Font onto your tab
https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/design/Roboto_Hinted_20111129.zip (roboto - ics 4.0 font)
3. install any font changer app, run, select font, BOOM delicious new font appears
Roboto is amazing. Love this font. I use it in all my apps now. Looks 100% better on 99% of interfaces (for some reason looks a bit squished in gmail)
does anyone know how to change the font of the clock in the status bar? I hate the font that Samsung is using.

if you change trough update.zip i think (CMIIW) thats dangerous but if you know that samsung default has font changer in setting but the one i dont understand is how to add more cause i had copy and paste into system/font with root exp but no luck and the font not showing on list
Just a quick update on what I have recently found is the best solution to getting Roboto on this device.
Don't use a font changing app like Font Changer or Font Installer, etc. Specifically those two don't overwrite the default fonts correctly & that's why you will see weird looking fonts sometimes (gmail app for example).
Best & Easiest Solution (requires root):
1. Download this rar file.
2. Extract the three .ttf files and copy over to your device.
3. Copy them to the system\fonts and overwrite the originals (I will give you a link to the originals).
4. If you want to go back to stock, download this file and do steps 2 & 3 again.
Anyone tried this on ICS? I did it but saw zero change

I found this mod in the Optimus 2x forum, and I've tried this also working on Optimus Black. Change system font :
- Install LG2xSystemFontsv2.zip using CWM (choose install from SD card)
- Reboot
- Change font via Settings - Display - Display font
Available new fonts :
Nokia pure, WP7, Segoe print, Luxi sans, Ubuntu
Look very nice and fits well in our device!
It replaces the old Fonts.apk with a modified one..
Screenshot added, with WP7 font It's working with all OB ROM based on ori ROM.. I'm using Zeus 6..
Gr8 dude. Will flash it now, but does if remove regional fonts like hindi or its available after flashing it also?? Nwz i will back up my fonts folder

I guess it's only working for original ROM, or custom ROM based on ori ROM.. because it changed the Fonts.apk system app,,
it works, using zeus v6.11
What exactly does it do?
to replace the system fonts with others?
to add system fonts mantaining the original ones?
Regards.
Guys, would you mind making screenshot to show if it's worth trying?

How to change the fonts pls tell me......
There is...
Could you be more specific?
In fact into Play Store are a few apps to change your default font, but as first condition to change it, you need a rooted device, I'm not able to share links cuz I'm checking forums from my iPod, but I use 2 apps, one for General Font and the other for Clock Lockscreen, Font changer and Type Fresh every one explain you how to use them.

Font Changer
Since I used Font Changer to change the font when using Marvel rom, it is easy to use. But first, you should find some fonts, download and copy to SD Card/.fontchanger (I dont remember clearly but you can follow the app' instructions). Good luck
I've seen this question many times during last few days and even got a few PMs also regarding this and answering repetitively is tiresome and not so creative so thought of creating a thread specially for this, Nothing new, no rocket science but helpful, hope you find the same
Recovery Method
Download any one of the font
Goto CWM
Select Mount and storage
Mount System
Flash the downloaded File
ICS Roboto Font
Gingerbread Stock Font
Other Flashable Font files along sample can be found here
Font changer Method
Install Font Changer from play store
put the desired fonts in the folder .fontchanger created in the root of your SDcard, open the app and apply the desired font.
usually I use second method. coz its easy for any fonts. no need to search for flashable zip and original font can be backup for further use.
try rom toolbox
I think it doesnt work on ICS ROM
I see on system/fonts and few font files was linked to "roboto font",,even I change with CWM/Manual(with root explorer) it doesnt works mate
I like use SonySketch fonts

I believe what OP mean in this thread is only for MoKee OS. And also as he said, the zip file attached to be flashed is an answer of some people who ask him how to make roboto font as default font.

Is this safe ?
I wanted to ask if this is completely safe cos I've had bad experiences everytime I tried tampering with my device. Also do these methods work on gingerbread ??

As far i know this should work on any gingerbread rom, but on ics or jb you need to create metadata for changing the font as their symlinked to the rom. Cmiiw

Whenever I get a phone I get totally OCD over the font being consistent so I always pull the font folder and replace all the files with the respective Roboto Condensed Reg./Bold/Italic etc. I don't think this would play well with anything other than a system running English but you can always try but make sure you NANDROID JUST IN CASE!! I just figured I'd share in case anyone else is the same way :silly:
Just flash in TWRP and reboot!
I did not create a back-to-stock file because I was to eager to get this made for myself and forgot, so please make a backup before flash in case you want to go back! If someone can pull the stock font folder I would be happy to do so!
Enjoy!
Works with Spanish language???
We have accents and ñ
